Reichstag, Berlin

July 18th, 1906

[Advisor to the Kaiser | Richard Voltz POV]

My name is Richard Voltz. I am 65 years old. I have served the Royal family all my life and I have never seen a Incompetent ruler such as Kaiser Wilhelm. Although I never voiced my thoughts, his expression was telling as Wilhelm had just passed a policy to further increase the army size and the number of ships yet again. To which baffled even for me as my family once came from the commoners and rose through hard work, dedication, and loyalty to the royal family for 4 generations. And for the life of me I will never see a 5th generation thanks to Wilhelm II.

Although there's a silver lining, as Wilhelm just passed an Agricultural Reform which helped the empire in the long run on stockpiling of food and improving the lives of the commoners and Middle class to thrive and save more money for their families future.

I thought the world was ending as I've seen Wilhelm II change for the better, but I realized that it was a Noble Child Erika Victoria who is a rising star just as the rumors were circulating around the empire.

Richard gathered more information and was surprised as Erika's genius was real and not just a rumor which shocked me. Even furthering the myth, Wilhelm Unofficially declared Erika a saint and one of the last genius generations of the German empire which nearly gave me a heart attack at the attitude of Wilhelm.

I also realized that Erika has also established a secret society which on the surface promoted Imperialism and the Monarchy itself, to which Kaiser Wilhelm II was quick to advertise it to his friends. I myself had also joined and came to realize that terrified me. This secret society has formed a cult following that is dedicated to Erika herself as just a few months being a member, he was shocked at how many nobles were in this society along with officers of the Wehrmacht, and the Kriegsmarine Officers as well. Which further Solidified my loyalty to this new society as I also developed a loyal view towards the young child whose future is bright and will lead the empire to a promised future.

And for that, I offered my services to the society itself and they humbly accepted as I provided them classified documents along with the private meetings that Wilhelm II has secretly done as I am one of the close advisors of the Kaiser after all

One thing for sure, in my eyes, is that Erika will definitely surprise us in the coming future with her plans and ideas that will revolutionize warfare and change the German empire's future in its dark times. And I'll be there for her until the day I die and hopefully my descendants will help her achieve her goals.

[Kaiser Wilhelm II's POV]

For the 20 years I've been preparing the German empire as best as I could as I ignored the warnings my advisors and ministers gave me, I still continued on arming the army and navy as best as I possibly can as I have an ambition to unite all Germanic people under one flag and a cause to which I will occupy the french lands entirely

But his ambition has some hurdles to which it's becoming more impossible as the years pass. The Russian Empire has allied with the French which surprised me for a moment as I sent a letter of protest to my cousin Nicholas but was refused.

For Edward VII my other cousin, oh how I hated him for being the King of the British Empire. When it should've been him on that throne. But now he felt he was superior to both of his cousins as he commanded the German empire and ruling it with an Iron fist as I deemed it to be

He then called his most trusted advisor Richard Voltz, who arrived just minutes later and entered the office and greeted the Kaiser. "Your majesty, what seems to be the problem that needs my assistance?" Richard said in a respectful tone.

To which I replied with "How goes the orders I've given to the army and navy Richard? Any news?" I said, with a tone that demanded results more than the progress of it.

Richard replied with "Yes your majesty, the retrofit along with the order of ships being built will be delayed until 1910 at the latest as our dockyards aren't enough to fill in the ones you've made. For the army, they have completed the training of 600,000 men along with your additional request to recruit 600,000 more will also be delayed due to lack of logistical problems and ammunition shortages." Richard replied as he double checked everything and made no mistakes in the delayed deployment.

I grumbled and tightened my right hand into a fist as I banged it on the desk and shouted "They said it would be done by 1908 at the latest! Why was it extended to 1910!?" I demanded

Richard nervously looked at the Kaiser and replied with a firm but shaky voice "your majesty, this takes time to be done as you're demanding to put a strain on the supplies we currently have. Right now, we lack ammunition and proper logistical supply routes as the railway system touvee funded personally is still being constructed and will be expected to finish in 1908. I might also add to your majesty, that our international reputation is slowly being ruined right now thanks to our sudden shift in policy 8 years ago." Richard sighed

I replied with a huff as I glanced at the paper I'm holding which is labeled "Current logistical Problems in the German Empire" and replied "We are not weak as the other powers or my cousins say it to be. We are powerfully united as a Germanic empire that has the right to rule and establish the Holy Roman Empire in the far future. And for that to happen, our aim is to amass around 3 millions troops by 1912 at the latest and our flotillas would also equally match the numbers the British have."

Hearing such daunting demands, Richard was shocked and reasoned with Wilhelm "your majesty, you must understand our coffers are not deep, and in my opinion we are not a weak empire. But with how things are going…we're heading there your majesty. So please reconsider!"

Hearing the plea of his Advisor, he relented and spoke rather tiredly "We will take our time then. But I can't compromise on reducing our recruitment drive as well as amassing a large navy. Do you understand Richard? I narrowed my eyes at him

"Perfectly your majesty. Thank you for your mercy." Richard said

"Speaking of this, How is my daughter Victoria?" I spoke lightly as I loved my daughter and worry about her all the time.

"She is doing fine your majesty, ever since she met the noble girl Erika Victoria, Victoria has changed for the better as the society has also helped us gaining a secured foothold and popularity with the commoners" Richard said, with a mix of lies and truth to it to deceive Wilhelm

"Good to hear. I appreciate the news. What about Erika I appointed as saint and genius of the empire?" I inquired as I grabbed another document and considered it for a moment to grant Erika the title of Marquess along with the rank of Oberleutnant which I am considering since I have the power to do so. And waited for Richards answer to which he did answer that convinced me to sign this document.

"Well your majesty, Erika has helped us a lot in convincing some of the nobility that your policies were good and you were doing it for the betterment of the German empire by amassing such a large army and naval presence in europe. Additionally, the policy she proposed to you was a success as it was accepted even with the commoners which increased the reputation of the society. Lastly, Erika has plans to enroll in the Prussian War Academy and hopes to graduate as the youngest officer in the German empire, perhaps in the whole world even. It would boost the Germans' influence and credibility domestically and internationally." Richard said to influence my decisions which I hadn't noticed as I was debating and finally signed the document effective immediately.

"I see. May God bless our German empire. My decisions may be rash to you Richard. But I want Germany to thrive and prosper. And this is the only way. I cannot see Germany prospering under the shadow of the British empire and the Russian Empire along with the growing power in america." I said solemnly as I feared that the German empire would be left behind and be forgotten in history like a speck of dust.

Richard sighed at the lack of self confidence Wilhelm II had and replied "As you say your majesty. As he grabbed the signed document to be approved immediately. And it will be the first time that a noble will be given an officer rank before attending the Prussian war academy. Which was unheard of. But this way, Erika can move more freely and make changes as the document was made by multiple nobles and a couple of right wing politicians who favored Erika as she saved the German empire millions of reichsmark thanks to her agricultural reform.

"Let's move to another topic of scheduling a visit to the ottoman empire and solidifying our relationship with them as they're an important ally that holds the middle east together. I won't let the British nor the French take hold of the Suez canal as it is also vital for us." I said with certainty and confidence.

"But your majesty, if we visit the ottoman empire right now, it would likely sour our relationship with the British even more your majesty. Considering that the ottoman empire is suffering from multiple rebellions by now. Are you sure they're a reliable ally in the Middle East, your majesty? Abdul Hamid II isn't exactly a reliable leader from the reports I've heard." Richard said, worrying that allying with the ottoman empire may be a mistake.

"Mhmm that is true, but they are our only ally close to Austria-Hungary. And I can't exactly convince the Italians to ally with us since they're close with the Entente that they might as well backstab us if we chose to propose an alliance with them." I said, as I fixed my uniform in front of a mirror and wiped away any residual stains. "Besides, with numbers on our side and our might of the alliance, the entente will surely consider agreeing to our terms without any bloodshed. As if that will happen, then the world itself will know war and it will end with a lot of people dying. But it is up to us to prevent that. Hence why the people trust us Richard. A King must shoulder these responsibilities." I said before preparing to leave while having my left hand on a sling and prepared to visit the Wehrmacht to see how the recruitment is going and how bad the logistical problems are.

"I understand your majesty." Richard bowed and handed over the document to the secretary who proceeded to pass it to the Wehrmacht and to the Reichstag for evaluation and final checks to be approved. For Richard, he followed Wilhelm as they exited the Reichstag and entered the car. Headed for the Wehrmacht training grounds to inspect and check the quality of his troops and logistical problems.

[3rd Person POV]

As the final checks were evaluated, the document or rather an order was quickly passed as Erika was ceremoniously handed the Marquess title along with the rank of Oberleutnant at age 8 but was strictly informed that her officer rank will only take effect when she reaches 12 years old. Additionally, with the words of the Kaiser, the Secret society spread far and wide in the German empire. Recruiting odd talents like Fritz Haber who is a famous chemist, multiple field officers that were also attracted and joined the society. There were 3 field officers for now which were Erwin Rommel, Guderian, and even Oskar Emil von Hutier. Who from Erika's memory famously made the sturmgruppen tactics. Which will be effective in the middle stages of the war. The last one to join in 1909 was Werner von Blomberg which surprised Erika and thought Bomberg was a devout loyal to the Kaiser.

For general officers, Erika was surprised that August von Mackensen joined. He was considered a living legend and lived post world war 2 and he was still a strong man at age 90 when world war 2 ended. Multiple other general officers also joined with Hermann Karl Bruno von François along with Hans von  Seeckt and Gerold von Gleich who is also a scientist himself to which the society gladly accepts.

The German Imperial Society has expanded further from the military, to the civilian sector where Erika proposed better roads, and civilian factories that could keep up with the demand. To which the Reichstag approved. Erika even played a decisive role in improving the logistical hurdles of the German Empire as Erika wrote a Policy called "The Autobahn Expressway" which detailed that a highway stretching from the Rhineland to Konigsburg will greatly help the German empire's economy and logistical problems in the long run. It is estimated that 6 billion Reichsmark will need to be spent in order for this to be done, stressed Erika as she wrote it down. She knew she has to push this policy to be approved and requested the members of the society to help her pass this policy to the Reichstag and hopefully be approved.

And in the early years of 1907, the policy was introduced in the Reichstag and to the Kaiser, and multiple days Erika waited as the Reichstag argued this policy from shouting matches, to overall brawls. Which even shocked the Kaiser and was entertained by the scene. In the end, after 2 weeks, the policy was passed and the Autobahn massive construction project was set to begin immediately and estimated to be completed in 1913. The Capitalists and the Middle class cheered as it generated jobs, and Income and praised the Kaiser and Erika herself for proposing such a policy.

This way the German Empire can hopefully hold out longer than before as I'll try to push more policies to be passed and improve the quality of the Wehrmacht. I'm also gonna change the German uniforms and maybe establish a secret police in the far future to control information and capture traitors that will be prevalent once the German empire is on the losing side. And once that happens, I will slowly seize power and influence and hopefully exceed hindenburgs authority.

For Hitler, I might just turn him into my lackey or to kill him outright. Or maybe I could go to Austria and find the man and give him a better life to think about since in this life, he hasn't done anything wrong yet. Hence I'll give him what he wants and maybe an architecture job will suit him best. Erika reasoned as she sent her people to find Hitler and recruit him to the society.

What Erika didn't know, that in the future, Hitler would be fanatical to Erika's cause and be the spearhead of creating one of the largest cult following in Austria as well as Hitler would use his charismatic look and voice to attract people from Austria to the society. Which Erika didn't factor in Hitler being her representative but at least Hitler's views have changed because of her at least right?

Maybe I should just kill him after all.. Thought Erika in the year 1914 as the German empire prepares for war that the Balkans will unleash.
