“Hey, that rule only applies to elves and I’m not an elf. I’m a human.”

Shura gazed blankly at me.

“I am a half-blooded elf who’s abandoned from the Moon Elves’ society. So, I will take it upon myself.”

“Hey! That’s…”

“Master, I’m not pretty enough for you?”

I like her. She’s much more beautiful than any human woman by far. Besides, my first love was an elf. So, I do like female elves. If I could do as I please, I would’ve already laid her on the ground immediately and fulfilled my desire in her body.

“You are pretty enough.”

“Then why would you refuse me?”

“It’s simple. You, a female elf, will never betray me.”

“So?”

“Then I might not be able to send you to a bloody battlefield or abandon you even if necessary.”

During the time I lived through the Era of Destruction, I demanded a lot of my subordinates to abandon their lives. To defend the castle, I sacrificed my subordinates. To find my way out, I ordered death for those who’re eager for life. In addition, I let more than 80,000 soldiers, who’re under my control, die in the last battle even though most of them were actually old people, kids, and women.

At that time, I never hesitated at all. No mercy was allowed. Because I believed that humans would betray me someday. That’s why I could also demand my subordinates to abandon their lives.

Yes. I love beautiful women. However, even I have limits as well. I want women whom I can abandon anytime I want to. That’s right. To survive in the Era of Destruction, one should abandon the other. If I hesitate even for a brief moment, I’m a dead man.

That’s why I can’t love a female elf who never betrays the guy she loves.

“Then please send me to a bloody battlefield. And abandon me. I will follow your order to the last drop of my blood.”

“That’s why I hate you!”

“Please give me an order. I will do my best to please you, Master.”

“That’s not the problem. It’s different!”

“I will take care of the other problem as well.”

I just can’t talk to this woman. I turned my body quickly.

“I do not have a lot of patience. When I tell you nicely, you should listen.”

“I can’t leave. I’ve already decided to follow you, Master. If you want to refuse me, you can just kill me instead.”

I got so pissed off because of her tenaciousness. Wrinkling my face, I grabbed her by the collar and pushed her against the wall.

“Hey! Do you know how many subordinates who were under my control are dead? It’s no less than hundreds of thousands! And do you know how many people died because I turned away my face from them? It’s no less than tens of millions! On top of them, you want me to add another woman who loves me? You gotta be kidding me!”

“What do you mean?”

Shura stared at me with her puzzled eyes.

My hands barely stopped trembling. She never experienced or heard about the war which destroyed the whole of mankind. That kind of war never happened even once in the entire human history. Thus, she could never understand what I was talking about.

“I am not your lifesaver. You’re alive only because you got lucky. Let’s say, a person who’s falling off a cliff grabs a tree branch and survives. Then, is that branch his lifesaver? Certainly not. You got it?”

“You are not a tree branch, Master.”

I clenched my teeth and grabbed her neck. She was almost suffocated. And I put the tip of my sword on her forehead.

“It’s my last warning. Leave.”

“After my mother’s death, I was abandoned alone by my tribe. If you don’t want to accept me, I will just finish my toilsome life right here, Master.”

And she closed her eyes.

My hand, holding the sword, was trembling. I was moved by the fact that she’s alone. Actually, I’m alone as well.

There’s a brief silence in the room. I could feel her breathing raggedly and said.

“At last, you will be abandoned. You will recall today and be regretful when the moment of your death comes.”

She’s staring at me with her vibrant red eyes.

“I will never bear any grudge against you, Master.”

“Yes, you will.”

And I hugged around her waist. Soon, I took her clothes off one by one on the ground with my wild hands. Finally, her beautiful body was revealed. As I pushed her, she fell on top of my bed.

* * *

The sun has risen. I woke up in my bedroom and sat on the top of a desk, calculating my money. Since I needed to pay expenses for something new, I was splitting my money.

At that moment, Shura walked out from the bathroom while covering her half-naked body with a towel. She approached me and hugged my neck around with her thin arms.

“Master.”

By her gesture, I could feel her deep affection towards me. I kissed her on her pointy ear and then finished splitting my money.

“Finished taking a bath?”

“Yes.”

I handed over some gold coins to Shura. They’re worth exactly 100 riffs of gold.

“Why don’t you take this money and go to the Hall of Divinity?”

With slightly surprised eyes, she looked at my face with respect. Going to the Hall of Divinity meant the same as making a challenge to become the owner of a scared weapon.

“You want me to take a Guardian Test?”

“Yeah.”

“But I’m…”

“What’s the matter?”

“I have heard that only those who have pure and clean blood with God’s blessing can become the owner of a sacred weapon.”

I waved my hand.

“No, it’s just random.”

“Really?”

It’s true. Only except the Seven Sacred Weapons and some others, the rest of sacred weapons choose their owners at random.

I found out this fact when the Era of Destruction just began. At that time, I was also a guardian so I was recruited as one of the candidates for the Holy Cavalry which was the hope of mankind. And that’s where I saw a very absurd scene. The priests at the Divinum Temple were handing out the sacred weapons to the candidates for the Holy Cavalry without the owner-selection process.

I felt so absurd so I asked one of the priests I’d met before. According to his words, all the sacred weapons were fake and made by human artisans except the Seven Sacred Weapons and some others. Moreover, I was shocked after I heard that the owner-selection ceremony was partly manipulated and the owner-selection was at random.

“In fact, most of those sacred weapons were fake and made by the Church. The real ones are only the Seven Sacred Weapons and Dalahan – the Sword of Sun, Moon, and Sky – which is the best second-tier weapon and was owned by the God of Yin and Yang. And the thing is, these weapons were created once only at the time when the civilization was born.”

“So?”

“So, the priests can’t make a lot of money out of them. 100 riffs of gold are a lot of money for even aristocrats. With such a low possibility, they wouldn’t spend that kind of money to enter the Hall of Divinity. That’s why the Church made extra weapons.”

Shura looked at me with her darndest face.

“Then it’s a scam, isn’t it?”

“You can call it a scam. Or you can consider it as a business. By the way, the Seven Sacred Weapons and Dalahan are real ones for sure.”

Certainly, I can give recognition only for the Seven Sacred Weapons and Dalahan. There’s historical evidence that the Seven Sacred Weapons were relics of the Seven Saintesses who’re the disciples of Saint Prosia. And during the Era of Destruction, Dalahan never chose its owner in the end.

In addition, there’s historical evidence that Dalahan was unimaginably stronger than any other second-tier weapons in times long past. And it was owned by Siegfried, the Great Emperor of the Yosrahim Empire.

Therefore, people across the world revere Dalahan as a 1.1-tier sacred weapon because they consider it as great as the Seven Sacred Weapons.

“Ah, I see.”

“So, just do as I say. Even third-tier sacred weapons have capabilities of the highest rank magical weapons. Getting such a strong weapon with only 100 riffs of gold is definitely a good deal.”

She’s still dawdling. Even if it’s at random, the possibility to become an owner of a sacred weapon is very low. Every year, countless people go to the Hall of Divinity to become the owner of a sacred. But on average, only one person becomes an owner of a second-tier sacred weapon every five years and only twenty people become owners of third-tier sacred weapons every year.

“You are wasting your money… Honestly, you can’t guarantee that I’d become the owner of a sacred weapon. Can you?”

“Yes, I can.”

One side of my lips was slightly curled up.

I didn’t only find out the fact that those sacred weapons were fake. I looked very carefully at the priests while they’re handing out sacred weapons. And I found out the way that anybody could become an owner of a sacred weapon.

“How?”

“There’s Essense in most of the sacred weapons, right? You should turn that Essence three and a half times to the right. And turn it two and a half times to the left. After that, while pressing Essence with your thumb, you should grab the grip of the sacred weapon and infuse mana into it. Then the sacred weapon will choose you as the owner. Hehehe.”

“You’re kidding me, right?”

“Trust me. It works. Why don’t you just go to the Hall of Divinity and try it?” You’ll know that I am right.”

She felt absurd and got flurried. Even those who got chosen by third-tier sacred weapons are respected by others and held in high esteem, nearly as a saint. So, once she found out the fact that anybody could become an owner of a sacred weapon with such an easy trick, it’s not strange at all for her to feel absurd.

‘By the way, Shura’s matter seems pretty easy. But what about my Yojo?’

Actually, my biggest concern is Yojo. Just like the Seven Sacred Weapons and Dalahan, there’s no Essence in Yojo. Thus, I can’t become the owner of Yojo by using the same trick.

However, I know what time Yojo chooses its owner. How? Because I had already been there in my past life. Yojo chose me, the first person who entered, as its owner on the first day when the Hall of Divinity opened. So, I think I should enter at the same time just like before.

‘Whatever. Everything will go well.’

At that moment, my eyes were on her shoulder line.

She hadn’t wiped her body out completely so small drops of water were flowing along her shoulder line. She’s driving me crazy. I gulped my saliva. Then I hugged her around her waist, pushed, and laid her on top of my bed.

She gently tilted her head back and welcomed me. She’s still feeling tired because of last night but she’s always ready to happily welcome my sexual desire anytime I want.

Not long after, I took and threw away her towel which was covering her body. My eyes were flaring up in a blaze. And we started again and continued making our love unceasingly.
