After accepting the quest, Lu Li took the others to catch up with the NPC’s team .
This NPC team wasn’t the main force on the Alliance side for the war. The main force was led by Shandris, who was located in Southshore.
There were around a hundred members, and it was mostly formed by Night Elves and Humans, but there were also some Dwarves, Gnomes, Draenei and other Alliance races. The team looked strong, but they didn’t actively fight players. Even if they ran into a large troop of Horde players, they wouldn’t attack unless the Horde players attacked first. The team just kept walking ahead.
Of course, there were some players who weren’t afraid and wanted to take risks.
After all, this was a large group of Alliance NPCs. In the eyes of some crazy Horde players, they were just walking equipment and gold coins.
The results weren’t hard to imagine. After a round of shooting, all that was left on the floor was a mess. Lu Li took his team and was happy to pick up the equipment. A lucky player even picked up a level 55 Legendary equip. In this event, all items that were picked up by the individual would be a bound item, so the player that picked up the Legendary equipment was overwhelmed by joy.
It seemed like a harvest, but in fact, Lu Li’s troop didn’t obtain that much by following these NPCs. Most players weren’t silly enough to cause trouble for them.
Not to mention, this troop of NPCs often had to regularly clean up the towers and revival spots of the Horde faction. These places were often guarded by Horde NPCs with strong resistance. It was easy for players to die in these scenarios, and if a fight was to really occur, even if they survived, they would be severely injured.
Lu Li estimated that it would take at least two hours or more for this team to push to the back of the Horde faction.
This meant that it wasn’t worth it for them to follow behind.
After some careful consideration, Lu Li decided to part ways with these NPCs. The poison for revenge had already been smeared on the daggers of both his and Water Fairy’s. If they waited for two hours, the effect would be wasted. Not to mention, both Water Fairy and Lu Li had the Prayer of the Moon Goddess buff, so it was hard for anyone to kill them.
The Dark Elf that led the troop didn’t say much to it.
Following the command of Shandris, they would complete their own quests first, then coordinate with the adventurers to kill the opposing commander. Besides this, they had no other obligations.
“What are we going to do now boss? You guys are so strong now; how about assassinating Sorrowless?” Fat Monkey suggested as he rubbed his hands with excitement.
“You must be daydreaming. What good is there in killing Sorrowless? We’re going to find a smaller camp and take it down ourselves,” Lu Li retorted as he followed the path to reach the tip of the small mountain. From here, he could see quite far ahead and caught glimpses of lights that were flashing everywhere. These were visual effects of skills casted by players. On the other hand, some places remained dead and quiet.
If they pushed camps with NPCs, most of the hard work would be done by the NPCs and the players wouldn’t receive many Glory Points.
Within their sight, they found a camp of soldiers clashing with thousands of adventurers. Many group spells were casted by these soldiers and many lives were taken each time.
However, at the same time, the numbers of these Orc soldiers were decreasing. They could kill the players, but the players outnumbered them over the long run. These Orc soldiers didn’t have that much health after all.
There were also a large number of Horde players that helped their NPCs defend. They behaved like real soldiers and refused to back down in any fights. Unfortunately for them, this camp had already pushed quite deep into the Alliance area, and the reinforcements that they could receive were limited. They wouldn’t last much longer.
“Damn, so heated. Moonlight must be having fun.”

Fat Monkey was a little disappointed that he couldn’t follow Moonlight into battle.
“We’re not here to battle with the players; it won’t profit us much,” Lu Li said as he shook his head and ignored the excited expression of Fat Monkey. Perhaps to the average players, Glory Points were worth a lot, but this wasn’t the case for any of the people with Lu Li.
In this map that had been adjusted by the System, there were camps everywhere.
Some were barracks, some were storehouses, some were training grounds, some were tower points and some were revival spots. Either way, it wasn’t hard to find places to cause trouble.
Lu Li analysed the situation and quickly chose a tower point.
He chose one that wasn’t filled with a crowd of people. It wasn’t packed with soldiers like a barracks, not to mention that barracks also held casters.
The two hundred players that he had brought with him was enough to take down System-controlled casters. Only places like a tower point that were built to scout the enemy would they be able to take these NPCs down one by one.
Finally, there was the problem of the Main Tank position.
Lu Li didn’t bring a main tank this time, not even one. This was because they weren’t useful for his purposes. Even if Azure Sea Breeze was to use everything that he had, he probably wouldn’t even be able to take one hit from Bygraves. Just Lu Li and Water Fairy alone would be enough to tank monsters. They had both obtained the Prayer of the Moon Goddess buff and at this point, both their defence and attacks were on par with average Bosses.
However, they weren’t tanks after all, so this meant that the aggression level would be hard to control.
If the team was caught up in too many monsters while Water Fairy and Lu Li couldn’t hold the aggression of all of them, there would be a wipe if these monsters rushed into the formation of the long-ranged players. Neither of them had any taunt skills to salvage the situation.
Tower points didn’t have many monsters – at the very most, there would be two per level.
Lu Li picked the Lai’ka Tower point. This tower point was located on the eastern side at a higher altitude. It could scout areas in the far distance and the Horde used it mainly to provide tactical information for their backlines. There was a Wind Wielder at the top of the tower. If there was any important information, it would be sent back by an agent with the Wind Wielder.
“Don’t forget, focus down the monster that Water Fairy and I attack. Healers, try not to heal when there are too many monsters,” Lu Li reminded before they entered.
They didn’t have enough Prayer of the Moon Goddess buffs. If all 200 of them were given the buff, Lu Li was certain he could take out the entire Hillsbrad themselves. Unfortunately, giving both him and Water Fairy the buff was already asking a lot from Shandris.
Even if Tyrande was here, she probably won’t be able to buff 200 people at once.
Lu Li rushed in first. Before he had the chance to look around, two sharp blades immediately slashed at him. In real life, this would definitely be enough to cut someone in two.
Damn, a sneak attack!
Lu Li didn’t have the chance to turn and see who was behind him; his reflexes acted first. With a pounce in front, he rolled over and faced his assaulter.
There were two Troll guards who had masked their faces. From their appearance, they were like two scouts, trained to study and investigate the enemy. Their current quest right now was probably to guard the tower point.
After Lu Li escaped, they quickly pursued.
Unable to keep dodging, the Troll guard’s short sword stabbed into Lu Li’s shoulder and took away around one 1400 points of his health.
