A giant, fierce Mauler, rushed out from the depths of the mountain valley.
As you could tell from the name, this animal naturally had some relation to a bear. Appearance wise, it looked similar, but it was bigger and more ferocious. When it became an adult, it even became capable of using Lightning magic.
This Mauler was evidently an adult. It was surrounded by lightning all around, which increased its intimidating presence, as well as its speed.
“Why would a Mauler come out onto the Ogre’s own land?” West Whitehill asked in confusion. However, he definitely wasn’t scared. The Wild Beast Bosses in Dawn mostly had low intelligence, except for dragons. After all, there was no way to put them in the same category as the Wild Beasts.
A few Main Tanks went up to surround the Mauler, trying to Taunt it, before inching in for the kill.
Suddenly, they were all left dumbstruck – the Main Tanks were flung into the sky. There were two unlucky ones who landed straight into the heap of ogres and were trampled on. In the blink of an eye, those two were finished off.
“What happened?” Blood Dagger asked as he stared in disbelief. He was going to rush forwards as well, before suddenly realising that the Main Tanks weren’t there.
He was just a thin-skinned Thief. Whether or not he needed to bear this responsibility, it was obvious. With his head down, he ran until a Main Tank had pulled the monster, before he stopped to take a breather.
Of the few hundred people here, Blood Dagger was the most intimidating.
Because he was good at hiding himself, he would also be able to discern where the Mauler and Rexxar were.
If Blood Dagger didn’t die, then Buggy, who was coming in after for the equipment, would be in great danger.
What was more, it was easy to determine their identities. In the event that Buggy and Lu Li’s relationship was exposed, even an idiot would see that this was a trap, and the Thief trainer’s identity would be revealed.
The Mauler really was large and powerful, but Glory Capital’s players weren’t average players either.
“How do you feel? Can you handle it?” West Whitehill asked their Main Tanks.
“No big issues – just the Aggro isn’t very stable. I suggest we change the numbers, call some people over, or if everyone is a little more reserved when they fight, then that also works. Anyway, this bear monster is still within the limits of something we can handle. I’m just afraid that there might be some unexpected move later.”
“Then fight stably first. Wild Bosses don’t tend to pull many tricky moves. I’ll call for people now,” West Whitehill said.
“They still need to call people over? Do they think not that enough people have died yet,” Lu Li thought, as he began to feel unnerved. In the case that Glory Capital suffered too many loses this time, then the rift between him and Sorrowless would simply be too big. It was still better for him to remain oblivious to the fact that this NPC was fake.
As the saying went, when the signalling arrow was shot, your army brethren will come to help out. After Glory Capital’s two Elite groups arrived, the Mauler only had two-thirds HP left.
The Mauler was looking like a juicy piece of meat sizzling on a hot iron pan.
West Whitehill was feeling very happy. He had found a high-quality gem, and he had encountered a worthwhile Boss. After killing it, it would definitely burst at the seams with Epic equipment, and what was more, it didn’t look too difficult to kill.
What was more important was that you could tell straight away that this Boss hadn’t been killed by someone before, so if they killed it, it would naturally be a First Clear.
Ruling Sword had a monopoly on all of the First Clears for Instance Dungeons. Glory Capital had tried a few times, but they ended in disappointing defeats. However, this didn’t mean that they were just going to accept their fate like this. There were still plenty of Wild Bosses roaming around.

Getting First Clear for this kind of Boss also had the same rewards for a First Clear in an Instance Dungeon.
Although you had to kill quite a few Bosses to get First Clear in an Instance Dungeon, you could solely focus on each fight. However, with wild Bosses, you had to compete with a lot of other clubs, so the First Clear was never a certain thing.
Since Dawn started, Glory Capital had taken a lot of Wild Boss First Clears.
However, the level 60 map was gradually being explored, and the Bosses who hadn’t been defeated yet grew fewer. Glory Capital hadn’t been on TV for quite a few days.
Now, their chance had finally come.
“Four teams had gone to clean up the little monsters around the place. When you’re looting the body, pay attention to the gems,” West Whitehill instructed. He was the commander here, calmly arranging tasks. Investing in one core Elite ream and three Elite teams was certainly already more than enough.
Lu Li still had over a dozen people around him protecting him. Otherwise, he would have certainly ran.
Since it was like this, he also followed over to look for some herbal potions, moving to the opening of the mountain valley. Actually, he had already mentally prepared himself to die. He was mostly wearing normal equipment, and all of it was effective in increasing his hiding ability.
In Dawn, there was some equipment that tended towards the extremes. One attribute might be particularly high, but the other attributes would be rubbish. Normal people wouldn’t consider these items; only under special circumstances would they be brought out and used.
Lu Li checked to make sure that he wasn’t wearing anything special. After that, he was prepared to stand and watch.
“Mr Harris, don’t you intend to go on up and finish that wretched Mauler?” a player next to him couldn’t resist asking. From his point of view, Lu Li’s appearance was simply too calm, so calm that it made others uncomfortable.
Everyone was going deep into this mountain valley just for him.
“Finishing off this sort of Mauler? Of course not. A Thief certainly isn’t like a Warrior, my friend,” Lu Li said, spewing random nonsense in his pretence.
“Speaking of which sir, have you found the Herbal Potion you were looking for?”
The players were helpless. If the NPC’s equipment was weak, then they would have no idea at all of what to do. At this, they asked him, without much hope, about something related to the quest.
“It is with great regret to inform you that I have not found what I was looking for, but I believe that they certainly are in these mountain valley, perhaps a little deeper in,” Lu Li said.
“Mr Harris, don’t worry, I promise that we will protect you into the deepest parts of this mountain valley. Our Glory Capital is the largest adventurer club. If even we couldn’t do it…”
“My God, what is that!”
The players were still arrogantly tooting their own horns when they were suddenly interrupted.
A few people turned around and looked at where the sound was coming from and saw a giant silhouette. It looked like a beast, but it was evidently bigger than any beast they had seen before. It was wearing a helmet that looked like a wolf’s head. The vital parts of his body were covered with armor, and each of his hands was holding a giant axe.
The heavy footsteps on the ground gave off a sound like muffled thunder.
From the way he entered upon the scene, he definitely wasn’t on their side. West Whitehill decisively chose people to go up to block him. He slightly regretted that he hadn’t called a few more people, but who would’ve thought that there were two Bosses here?
Rexxar Rema had finally arrived!
