Chapter 51: Fhiron to the Rescue

Fhiron told Komodo everything, as well as everyone else inside the Lion head that protected them from the effects of Orcus' power which was radiating from Nokitera himself. The Elf king crossed his arms and looked down in thought; the only thing he left out was Grimhild being a witch. Of course he would always keep that a secret.

"As you all can see, that sums it up. Orcus The Dream Devourer has returned, and he will use anyone he can to achieve his goal of resurrection. Do you all understand? This can mean death for Yggdrasil itself." (Fhiron)

".....Do we have no chance at stopping him?" (Komodo)

"We have a chance, and that is with me and my friends. Grimhild, Jean, Estrilda, Pippy, Elizabeth, and Kyto. Not to mention our new buddy Orb, but you all can't hear him, since he's inside of us." (Fhiron)

"...Whaaa?" (Komodo)

Komodo tilted his head to the side, a bit confused.

"So then Elf King, do you plan on helping them or not? Your friends need you, don't they?" (Takami)

Fhiron glanced over at Takami.

"If I leave this domain of the lion head, then you all will just die again, unprotected by my magic." (Fhiron)

"Then... allow me to keep it up, Lord Fhiron!" (Komodo)

Fhiron looked at Komodo with wide eyes.

"What do you mean?" (Fhiron)

"I can use light magic, didn't you hear what Geeron said when he was arguing?" (Komodo)

Fhiron looked back at Geeron with his eyebrow lifted.

"It's true, the man can use it. And he's not some amateur either..." (Geeron)

"That's impressive. My only concern is how you can use it? The elves dislike the humans and has no contact with them. Even trying to contact with the Elves in their realm is impossible if you are a human." (Fhiron)

"It seems I can't keep it a secret any longer." (Komodo)

The mages of Mesnil all stared at Komodo, eagerly waiting for him to expose the secret of how he's gotten so strong.

"Komodo is gonna tell us!" (Black Mage)

"...The truth is... I'm an Hybrid Human, and Elf!" (Komodo)

Fhiron paused for a moment to process those words.

"An... hybrid human... and elf? How is that—" (Fhiron)

"Possible?" (Komodo)

Fhiron eyes widened.

"Yes. How is that possible? Humans and elves getting along is impossible in this day and age, so how are you an hybrid of both?" (Fhiron)

"I don't know. I'm sorry king Fhiron, but even my backstory is a mystery to me. I don't know my parents nor their history, I don't even know my adoptive parents all that much." (Komodo)

Fhiron crossed his arms in thought, looking at the ground below him.

"...You may just be the key I've been looking for." (Fhiron)

"H-Huh?" (Komodo)

"The key that can unlock peace between the humans and the elves. If they see an hybrid elf such as you, then my people will have no choice but to accept it, and move on from their grudge against humans. They'll have no choice, because an half human, and Elf will permanently be part of them." (Fhiron)

Komodo was bewildered from the elf kings words, as was everyone else.

"Sir Komodo is an elf this entire time..." (Black Mage)

"Isn't that insane? No wonder why he's so powerful, and can also use light magic!" (Red Mage)

"I'm... the key...?" (Komodo)

"Yes, you're the key Komodo. I will protect you with my life, until I have enough mana to return back into Lothlórien." (Fhiron)

Fhiron turned to face towards the direction the battle took place in.

"I will make sure that you survive this cruel world, and that you'll bring peace among Lothlórien, and Midgard as well. With you, the humans won't have to worry about the hatred of elves ever again. The elves can't hate their own kind, even if they were of evil, so they will never hate you. My people have their own morality, and it's quite wholesome. Knowing that a human is now part of them, will change their worldview." (Fhiron)

Fhiron smirked.

"Now then, can I rely on you to keep my Lion head up, Komodo?" (Fhiron)

Komodo had tears in his eyes... for the first time in his life, he felt most important. He felt... special, if the elf king himself was relying on him.

"You can count on me King Fhiron, I will keep everyone here safe!" (Komodo)

Komodo's eyes were full of determination, and confidence in his capabilities. Fhiron turned his head to the side, peeking at the hybrid elf with his pupils... and now snickering.

"Those eyes of yours, they have the same look as my friend Beowulf when he tried reuniting with me again. I truly trust you, Komodo." (Fhiron)

Fhiron walked over to the hybrid elf and jammed his fingers through the dimensional prison, breaking him free.

"What?" (Geeron)

"No way... just like that?" (Tokomodo)

"...Tsk... the fact he can break through these dimensional barriers is ridiculous. They're temporal dimensions, easily beyond time and space itself... and yet he can casually reach his hand through one, grabbing an prisoner out." (Edward)

Edward clenched his fists.

"Even I... an mighty Rozenheart has no chance of escaping... so how? I should be superior than a Elf King! Father told me I'm the strongest magician, with the most potential in the world!" (Edward)

Edward looked down in his own sorrow.

"Keep them safe Komodo." (Fhiron)

"I will! You can trust me!" (Komodo)

Komodo closed his eyes and materialized his staff back into his hand again. From using his light magic, he was able to temporarily take control of the Lion head and keep it erect while Fhiron left its vicinity.

"Wait until I return back." (Fhiron)

"I will King Fhiron! Make sure to stop this, please!" (Komodo)

"...Even like this... we still have no chance..." (Elizabeth)

Elizabeth was laid flat on the ground alongside Pippy. Jean was knocked half-unconscious as Estrilda was also unable to move from her injuries not being healed.

"...I can't use chronicles... Pippy body is too weak... I'm... losing consciousness..." (Pippy)

Pippy morphed back into his small state, falling unconscious.

"No! Pippy, wake up... you are our only chance!" (Elizabeth)

Jean could barely raise his head to look at everyone.

"Estrilda had the biggest chance out of all of us... she's immortal and she can take damage without worrying about dying. Not to mention... the damage she takes makes her stronger. She's the best one to deal with this!" (Jean)

Jean eyes bulged as he coughed up blood from his lips.

"...Guh..." (Jean)

"Now that you all are flat on the ground, I can finally squash you! How truly sad, you all had no chance against me, even when I'm weakened to such a state!" (Nokitera)

Nokitera extended his arm.

"Any last words before you all are swallowed in the jaws of Lord Orcus?" (Nokitera)

"...G-Go to hell...!!!" (Elizabeth)

"Someone stronger will kill you... and you'll regret it!" (Jean)

"...What master said... even if we die, another will take our place in defeating you, then saving the world again." (Fhiron)

Nokitera smirked.

"Hmph. Saving the world you say? It's too late. Once the concepts of the world has been changed, they cannot be unchanged even after my death. That is Orcus' power! Absolute destruction to all! Nothing you people will do can save this miserable world!" (Nokitera)

"...N-No way... then... how is everyone gonna come back to life?" (Estrilda)

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! THEY WONT YOU FOOL!" (Nokitera)

"Stop talking like I'll let you all die." (Fhiron)

"...F-Fhiron!" (Elizabeth)

"It's... that Elf guy..." (Estrilda)

"HEY! MY NAMES FHIRON, GIANT GIRL! FHIRON!" (Fhiron)

Estrilda snickered in pain.

"Heh...heheh... you've come to save us..." (Estrilda)

"Of course I did. I couldn't let my friends die. Even if I had to drop that barrier and kill all those people, I would do it any day for all of you." (Fhiron)

"...Impossible... the Elf King..? The one who was mighty enough to seal you, Lord Orcus?" (Nokitera)

"Oh? It seems Orcus is talking to you isn't he? Tell him I said how's he doing down there? Sealed away inside that realm the fairy girl conjured up in the Root World." (Fhiron)

"...Oh... heh... it seems that you aren't at your full power, are you not King Fhiron?" (Nokitera)

"Ahhhh, perceptive as always Orcus. You could tell I wasn't at my power from a mere glance? And hell, you're sealed away in some realm far outside of Yggdrasil, deep in the Root World." (Fhiron)

Nokitera was shaking in his legs as fear managed to spread through his body.

"...It doesn't matter... e-even if you're some mighty Elf King, that won't be enough for Orcus' power! Definitely if you're weakened greatly!" (Nokitera)

"Even when I'm weakened, it's enough to deal with an bastard like you." (Fhiron)

Nokitera was instilled with fear as his body came to an halt.

"...I can't win... there's no way I can... beat him..." (Nokitera)

"Allow me to show you the power of an almighty Elf King, Orcus! I've been saving this for you!" (Fhiron)
