Fafnir had finally been killed by both Siegfried and King Feero. Now peace was set again inside the city of Vrunemir Kingdom; Astoria woke up long ago to hear the news by her best friend William as the two of them sat down on a bench, finally able to rest after recent destruction.

King Feero was healed by his mages that came to aid Vrunemir and repair parts of the city.

"To believe that another one would come along sooner or later. It was an honor fighting next to an hero as powerful as you Siegfried." (Feero)

Feero bowed his head in respect as he placed his hand upon his chest, honoring the hero before him.

"Thank you King Feero. Without you, none of this would've been possible, I can guarantee you that." (Siegfried)

Siegfried smiled as he held Balmung into the air, watching it vanish.

"I wish to recruit you to my ranks in my army, would you be willing to join me?" (Feero)

Siegfried widened his eyes as he was shocked to hear such an offer by the king himself.

"Recruiting me in the army...?" (Siegfried)

Being recruited into the army of Feerota Kingdom was the biggest reward anyone could receive. Those who work for Feerota kingdom have stable lives, good pay, decent wealth, and enough activities to leave them not bored for the rest of their lives.

"I would be happy to join you Lord Feero... however, I traveled to the Kingdom of Vrunemir for a specific reason." (Siegfried)

Feero nodded his head and accepted the great loss of an hero.

"I very well understand. You have things that must be done, and Vrunemir Kingdom is where those things are." (Feero)

Siegfried bowed his head.

"Thank you for understanding sir. If you excuse me, I have to make my way to King Vrunemir. It's been an honor Sir Feero!" (Siegfried)

King Feero walked over to both William and Astoria who sat at the bench. Two mages accompanied him, one being an healer and another a shielder. The healer had holy clothing on her body, with the shielder having the symbol of an shield on his back.

"Greetings, I'm sure you to know of me by now as the King of Feerota himself." (Feero)

William looked at Astoria before turning back to nod.

"Yessir." (William)

"Uhhh... I don't know you..." (Astoria)

Feero chuckled.

"You were out cold when I came to rescue the kingdom of Vrunemir. I must say, this young man here risked his life to protect you, and I cannot let that go unaccounted for. I wish to give you both an important duty." (Feero)

"...An important duty like what?" (Astoria)

"You two have more potential than any knight or mage combined inside my army. I mean that with everything! You two have the potential but you don't have the training to unlock said potential. Join me, and I will take care of you for the rest of your lives. You wouldn't have to worry about fear ever again. You will be safe and taken care of by anyone inside Feerota Kingdom. This is my offer to you."

Astoria widened her eyes before giggling, and happily staring at William.

"William we have a place to stay! We should definitely take this offer! It's our only chance to not be homeless ever again, and sold to those bad men." (Astoria)

William looked down in thought as he nodded his head.

"I take this offer King Feero..." (William)

"Oh? Excellent! How excellent! I can assure you that this will be the greatest moment in your lives." (Feero)

"But..." (William)

"Hm?" (Feero)

"You're giving us such an wonderful offer... I'm sure there's a catch to this right? What is the catch exactly? Because I'm willing to do it if you are certain that you wanna take care of us." (William)

Feero closed his eyes before nodding.

"How kind. Well now that you mention it, I have an young daughter. She goes by the name of Leelee Vansbo, part of my family. She will grow up to be a queen one day but she is quite... an delinquent. She usually runs off when she's angry, and disobeys my orders. She has changed ever since her mother died, and I need her to have friends... and guardians that will watch over her. Will you two be willing to do this, for me?" (Feero)

William held onto Astoria's hand tightly before nodding.

"Yes! I will give up my life for this duty, in respect to you King Feero!" (William)

Astoria widened her eyes as she faced William.

"I-I will do the same King Feero!" (Astoria)

Astoria shown the same determined look as William, nodding her head.

"Fumu. Thank you both very much. Then I suppose we can head out, and let the repair mages of Vrunemir Kingdom take care of the rest." (Feero)

"Whaaattt a magnificent displayyy, king Feero. I must say... I was amazed by your skill and talent with that blade of yours." (???)

Everyone turned to face the sky, their eyes widening.

"Who are you...?" (Feero)

Hovering in the sky was an witch who tilted her hat over her face, hiding her appearance. She had long black hair, an gold and black skirt, with black heels.

"Who am I? Fufufu...~ it is Beatrice. I am the one who has tamed Fafnir, and ordered him to complete my task. But it seems you and that young boy stood in my way." (Beatrice)

"Beatrice...?" (William)

The two mages next to Feero suddenly dropped dead.

"Huh? What just happened?" (Feero)

Feero kneeled to touch their pulses, realizing they had died.

"What did you do to my men? If what you say is true, then what does a witch want with me so badly?" (Feero)

Beatrice cackled.

"It's simple. I want revenge. You stopped my plans, so I'll curse you for that... and then you'll be unable to ever walk, talk, taste, smell, or do anything else that you love. This will be my curse for you ruining my plans, King Feero." (Feero)

Feero stood up before unsheathing his weapon.

"Then you'll have to face against me if you want to curse me you foul witch! I've heard stories of how cruel and sadistic you're! You've caused calamity of thousands of men in the past, and you've cursed important governmental figures for your own wicked deeds. No one knows your plans, but I'll perhaps beat them out of you." (Feero)

"Kaaahahahahaha! Beat them out of me you say? How brave. You show the resolve to fight while most other men run away in fear. Fine then, I'll perhaps only curse you to be unable to walk, or fight ever again. You shown me that you aren't some pathetic coward."

Feero leapt towards the figure in the sky, holding his blade with two hands.

"King Feero!" (William)

"I don't care what you curse me with! Just bring my men back alive!" (William)

"It's too bad. I would if I could, but it's their fault. Those with weak mana forces who stares at an witch has theirs destroyed alongside their souls as well." (Beatrice)

Beatrice stopped King Feero in his tracks with a mere glare, paralyzing hun down to his mana force.

"...Hmmm, your mana force is entirely pure. How rare. There's no negative side of an mana force inside you, only purely good. You must truly be an man of good nature." (Beatrice)

Beatrice seemed hesitant for a moment.

"I almost feel regret for cursing such an rare individual like you. But no matter, I said I'll do it, so it must be done." (Beatrice)

Beatrice eyes flickered in an red flash of light, causing King Feero to feel his legs violently shake.

"...Ngahhhh...!!!" (Feero)

"I am known as Beatrice, the Witch of Calamity. Remember my name well, as it will be the only thing that sticks with you for the rest of your life." (Beatrice)

King Feero slowly drifted into unconscious, falling down upon the ground out the air.

"King Feeroooo!!!" (Astoria)

Astoria and William ran over towards him, rocking him back and forth to try and awake him.

"It's no use children. Those who're hit by the spell of an witch who's seals are broken is forced to sleep for eternity. The only way he will be awakened once again is if another witch of my caliber can do so. But that will be highly unlikely... I've broken all of my seals long ago. I am the most powerful witch this world will ever see." (Beatrice)

Beatrice scoffed as she turned around.

"But I'll spare you both. I have morals, and I do not kill children. Good luck for the rest of your lives, with an sleeping king... KAKAKAKAKA!" (Beatrice)

Beatrice laughed to herself as she disappeared into green smoke in the sky, leaving the area in haste.

"That evil witch! How dare she do this to King Feero?!" (Astoria)

William grabbed underneath the king, picking him up from the ground.

"Cmon Astoria we have to get him to safety!" (William)

"R-Right!" (Astoria)

***

A few years have passed, William and Astoria were now fond of the Kingdom of Feerota, and Leelee became close to them both.

Standing beside king Feero's bed was William. He stood there sweating, and panting with his wooden sword in his hand. He just got through training in the barracks, but now coming to see the king who was sleeping with the curse still inflicted upon his body.

"I have decided ever since I came here King Feero… that… I will risk everything in order to protect her." (William)

William stood up straight and bowed his head.

"To protect her… and get revenge upon Beatrice. That is a promise I am making to you! If you hear me King Feero, I will avenge you, and slay Beatrice the witch of calamity!" (William)

William placed his hand upon his chest.

"That is a promise!" (William)
