Chapter 64: The Hidden Power of Leelee

William and Astoria stood upon the hill as they looked down from it, watching Leelee approach the tower.

"...So you mean to tell me, you promised to King Feero that you would protect Leelee with your life, and to slay Beatrice...?" (Astoria)

"Aye, I did, and I have no regrets making that promise. I am a man of my word Astoria, I'm sure you know that by now, don't you?" (William)

"...Idiot... you go around making promises that big then it might just turn on you." (Astoria)

"What do you mean?" (William)

Astoria walked up to William before smacking his head with her hand, catching him off guard.

"—Ow! What are you doing?" (William)

"I meant what I said! If you make promises that big, then it might just turn on you. Life isn't fair, and you cannot predict the future William! You don't know what's in store for the future, you idiot! The gods aren't fair you know? And the three sisters of fate aren't fair either!" (Astoria)

William rubbed his head with a big grin on his face.

"...Hahaha, it's been quite some time since I've seen you this worried Astoria." (William)

William looked down and took his hand off his head.

"What you say may be true Astoria, but they can change fate all they want... I'll just destroy that fate with my own resolve!" (William)

Astoria risen her brows.

"...William?" (Astoria)

"A man that breaks his promise is a man that breaks his own dignity. I will not be that man." (William)

Astoria snickered at him as her expression quickly changed.

"And a Kyoko that leaves her friend behind is worse than scum. I will not be that type of Kyoko..." (William)

"Fumu. Did you make that up on the spot?" (William)

"Just matching your same energy of course!" (Astoria)

"Hahahahaha!" (William)

Leelee managed to finally reach the Chrono tower by herself, standing in front of it with an visible frown upon her face. She looked up at the massive tower as it was tall enough to transcend even the clouds in the sky above her.

"...May the Ideal of Good be with me..." (Leelee)

She closed her eyes to say a prayer as she looked up into the sky, balling up her fist in remembrance to something.

"It's been so long since I've known both of you. William, and Astoria. We were friends forever... ever since my father recruited you to join the Feerota Kingdom, and now we're all like siblings. It's been so much fun, hanging with you both... enjoying our time together... but this is something I have to do on my own, please understand." (Leelee)

Leelee looked behind her to face her friends up on the hill.

"I'm doing this to confront the witch who cursed my father, and to prove my worth as the princess of Feerota kingdom. It may be a selfish desire, but it has to be done." (Leelee)

Leelee turned back to the tower entrance and took a deep breath.

"...Alright! Tower of Chronos, hear my calling! I am Leelee Vansbo, the princess of Feerota Kingdom! I will be the one to venture inside you, and to clear the floors up the tower until I reach Beatrice herself!" (Leelee)

Leelee held her sword high into the sky.

"No one else will help me. I will complete this tower by myself, so just you wait!" (Leelee)

Leelee's charismatic aura began to illuminate from her body in a flash of light, but then expand outwards.

"I will seal off entree into the Chrono tower so no one can help me. I am sorry everyone... please forgive me after this is done!" (Leelee)

She stuck her sword into the ground which then created a large spherical barrier that circled the base of the tower. 

From the hill both William and Astoria watched in shock.

"What is Leelee doing?" (Astoria)

"She's sealing off the tower, we need to reach her quickly!" (William)

Astoria and William quickly ran down the hill, accelerating towards the tower at extraordinary speeds.

"Everyone sit tight, William and Astoria will return quickly... we can endure this." (Knight)

"...Right! I came here knowing I'll be risking my life to save the world." (Knight)

The knights were still infected with mana cancer, but they knew that they could endure it until the situation with Leelee was handled.

"LEELEE! DONT DO IT, WE ARE SUPPOSE TO COME WITH YOU!" (William)

William eventually made it to her location with Astoria, unsheathing his conceptual weapon.

"D'ARC!" (William)

William shouted his weapons name before slicing at the barrier in front of him.

"...It's useless William, your conceptual weapon isn't even fully awakened yet." (Leelee)

D'arc collided against the barrier and shown no signs of even denting it. Leelee had her head tilted down, feeling ashamed.

"Did you see it Leelee? Another one of your visions into the future? Is that why you sealed off the Chrono tower so that we won't help you?" (Astoria)

Leelee risen her head and slowly turned around, glancing at Astoria.

"...No, that's not why." (Leelee)

"Huh? Then...?" (Astoria)

"I sealed off the tower because I wanted to do this on my own. I wish to confront Beatrice and clear the tower by my power alone, to show that I am the princess of Feerota kingdom, and to let Beatrice know that I'm not afraid of her." (Leelee)

"...Leelee..." (William)

William placed his hands against the barrier, looking down with an painful expression.

"Leelee take the barrier away..." (William)

"I cannot do that William..." (Leelee)

"LEELEE, TAKE THE BARRIER AWAY!" (William)

William shouted. His shout was breathtaking to both Astoria and Leelee, as he was always calm and composed. But this time he was showing actual emotions of anger, anxiety, and fear. 

"William?" (Astoria)

Astoria approached William, placing her hand on his shoulder.

"I-I sworn everything Leelee... I sworn to do everything I can in order to protect you. I gave up my life for you... both me and Astoria." (William)

"...." (Leelee)

"We done all that we can to ensure your safety... and to comfort you in time of need. Ever since we returned with your father back to Feerota kingdom, I remember the look on your face when you seen him inside the carriage... unconscious and unable to awaken." (William)

William squeezed his eyes shut as his voice cracked... tears even rolling down his face.

"The face you made... it was enough to fuel me with rage and revenge... and I didn't even know you at the time..." (William)

"....I..." (Leelee)

"I was so angry! So angry at myself! I watched you cry over your father, begging for him to wake up. It was enough to make any grown man shed tears... and thus... that's when it ignited inside me. A flame that fueled me, causing me to train every day, and every night to kill Beatrice herself. I even promised your father that I will eliminate her from this world." (William)

William stood up straight, tears flowing from his eyes while he gripped D'arc.

"I promised that nothing will happen to you Leelee, and I am a man of my words. So please, will you take away the barrier?" (William)

"Do not do that child of Feero." (???)

They all looked around them, hearing an echoing voice shake their surrounding area.

"Who said that? Show yourself!" (Astoria)

"...Hahahahaha, so you two don't remember my voice when I cursed your king in front of you?" (???)

"BEATRICE!" (William)

"Beatrice?" (Astoria)

Astoria asked as she looked at William.

"...So you can see everything from your tower? If that's the case then you should know why we're here!" (Astoria)

"It seems to me that you all are here for revenge, are you not? You traveled far and long in order to kill me once you cleared my tower. Revenge and rage is such a powerful force, it's almost scary." (Beatrice)

"No! Our primary objective is to ask you to restore the world and fix everything that's happened up until now. Some powerful force tampered with the concepts of the world, and now everything is gone to ruin! Please, can you do this for us?" (Astoria)

"Can I? KYAHAHAHA! "Can I?" She asks! Of course I can... but in order for me to do that, you MUST clear my tower and prove your worth, but I warn you... everyone has failed, and are now held captive as my slaves of the dead." (Beatrice)

Leelee shook her head in denial.

"They won't be helping... I will be the one to do this on my own." (Leelee)

"LEELEE, HAVE YOU NOT HEARD WHAT I SAID?" (William)

Leelee turned around to face William.

"William, I've heard everything that you told me... and I will always remember it. You both sacrificed so much for me... and given me so much love and support, I can't thank you enough... but..." (Leelee)

Leelee gripped her blade with two hands.

"This is the duty of a princess! I am doing this for myself! For the world, and most importantly... for my friends! If what you both say is true, that you both sacrificed much for me, then allow me to do the same!" (Leelee)

Both William and Astoria were stunned at her words, but they knew it had meaning.

"Hehehe, you both went quiet, is it from my charismatic aura or just my words alone? Because you both know what I say is true." (Leelee)

Astoria and William nodded their heads. The two of them knew that Leelee has never gotten the chance to sacrifice something in their relationship, as they were always doing it for her. But the tables have turned now, and Leelee was confident.

'I'm sorry King Feero... once Leelee is like this, it is hard to stop her.' (William)

William said to himself inside his head.

"YOU GOT THIS LEELEE! FIGHT ON!" (William and Astoria)

"YEAH!" (Leelee)

"...Fight on? By herself! Hahahaha, then enter my tower! Show me what it means to be a princess like you say!" (Beatrice)

"...Heeeeeaaaaaa...!!!" (Leelee)

Leelee leapt into the air and held her blade above her head with her hands.

"I never told you both my weapons name, Astoria, and William. But now you get to hear it!" (Leelee)

Leelee was in front of the tower entrance with an expression of determination spread upon her face. 

"AWAKEN CHAMPION OF SEASONS: ELEMENTAL!"

She slashed her blade across the door, freezing it in ice before it burned in fire, then crumbled apart, and now exploding from an intense wind.

"...WHAT?" WHAAT?" (Beatrice)

"I made it in!" (Leelee)

"You have... a champion at your disposal? But how... only a handful acquires them throughout Yggdrasil!" (Beatrice)

"Yeah, and my champion elemental decided to choose me. He is the champion of all elements! He chosen me from my charisma! I already knew this door was a trap, so I slashed it away." (Leelee)

"How can basic elemental magic destroy my Catastrophe magic I had set up in the door?" (Beatrice)

"It's simple... Champions overrule your catastrophe magic and all other magic! Once their name is awoken it even surpasses the gods! That's why they're powerful entities given to only those they trust... and Elemental trusts me more than ever." (Leelee)

Leelee risen elemental into the sky as it had a swirl of different colors orbit around it. Brown was earth, green was wind, fire was red, and blue was ice and water.

"Leelee has a champion?" (Astoria)

Astoria was in shock.

"...Pfffft... hahahahaha! Ahahahahahaha!" (William)

William fell on his butt laughing to himself.

"Hahahaahahahaha!" (William)

"William what's so funny?" (Astoria)

"Hahahahaha... hahahaha... phew..." (William)

William wiped the tear away from his eye.

"I just worried for nothing. Leelee has a power that even surpasses us, and yet here I was... worrying for her safety and even crying." (William)

Astoria snickered.

"That Leelee... she's always full of surprises isn't she?" (Astoria)

"Yeah... she is." (William)

William stood up and would stand next to Astoria.

"FIGHT ON LEELEE!" (William and Astoria)

"ALRIGHT, LETS DO THIS!" (Leelee)

Leelee finally entered the Chrono tower.
