Chapter 88: The Teachings of History

Grimhild moved from the door and walked to her seat which was up the stairs in the middle of the Lecture hall.

Coincidentally she ended up sitting next to Alice, the girl who managed to protect her from Hanato the class bully. Even though Grimhild didn't necessarily need protection, she was grateful to see a decent human inside the classroom full of egotistical golden mages.

Alice would point her finger at the group of bullies in front of her before kicking Hanato once more into the gut.

"Do it again and next time I'll do worse!" (Alice)

Hanato grunted in pain before sitting back up in his seat. He was ready to strike at Alice, but knew her capabilities and how dangerous she was. The class had chuckled at the scene.

Alice turned around to walk back up the stairs to her seat, not noticing Grimhild who sat next to her.

"...I suppose I can thank you for handling that. My name is Grimhild Yorgana, it's nice to meet you." (Grimhild)

Alice looked next to her, noticing Grimhild.

"The new girl sits next to me-? It's nice to meet you to Grimhild Yorgana! My name is Alice Konohashi!" (Alice)

Grimhild nodded her head with a grin showing on her face.

"Yes, I can see that. I heard it once you were putting those bullies in their place." (Grimhild)

"Where are you from Grimhild?" (Alice)

"I am from somewhere far away. It is quite a long story." (Grimhild)

"Well I hope we can get along with one another and become friends! The readers really like your character development!" (Alice)

There it goes again. She was breaking the fourth wall which honestly confused Grimhild.

"What do you mean readers? Are you perhaps talking about the gods? They do read us mortals like a book after all." (Grimhild)

Alice snickered.

"Of course not! I mean the actual readers of the story." (Alice)

Grimhild cluelessly blinked at her before facing down at her desk, and placing her book on the table.

"I am quite intelligent Alice, and there has not been one instance where I couldn't find out about something. Soon I will come to an understanding of what you mean." (Grimhild)

Alice winked at Grimhild before raising her finger into the air.

"Nishishishi~! Trying to understand what I mean will be even hard for someone like you, Ms. Grimhild!" (Alice)

Grimhild glanced over to her.

"What do you know about me?" (Grimhild)

"I know enough. I also know that you aren't who you say you're." (Alice)

Grimhild closed her eyes before nodding her head.

"I see. So that's it." (Grimhild)

The golden mage smirked.

"What do you mean?" (Alice)

Alice looked over at her, cluelessly titling her head to the side.

"You know of my origin, don't you?" (Grimhild)

Alice snapped her fingers and winked at Grimhild.

"Nope! I know nothing about your origin and all of that! I was just created to be comedic relief!" (Alice)

"...Comedic... relief?" (Grimhild)

Grimhild had never been so confused in her life, but she couldn't ask anymore questions since class was about to begin.

"Greetings students." (???)

An unknown voice would echo through the classroom as a woman with black hair and a ponytail walked in. She wore a black robe and had the golden mage emblem attached to her chest.

"Greetings Ms Ilya!" (Students)

"I heard that we have a new student today. Please, won't you introduce yourself to the class." (Ilya)

Grimhild would slowly rise from her seat, pushing the glasses up her face.

"My name is Grimhild Yorgana, it is nice to meet you all and I hope that we can get along with one another." (Grimhild)

"Pffft. Take off those glasses, you look like a nerd!" (Hanato)

Hanato muttered, causing the class to all laugh from his comment.

"Oh?" (Grimhild)

A magical circle suddenly appeared on Hanato's back, and his information was being read by Grimhild. She used her spell "Analyzation", an Rank 10 spell to analyze him down to his Mana Force.

"You speak boldly to me, but I suppose that makes sense. After all, you're insecure about yourself and cannot pull a single girl. Now you understand why, don't you? How about you man up and start bettering yourself instead of picking on the "fresh meat" that comes to your classroom as you would call it." (Grimhild)

Hanato stood up once he heard everyone giggle at Grimhild's reply. Some even laughed out loud.

"What did you say?!?" (Hanato)

"Must I repeat myself again, you clown?" (Grimhild)

"Settle down! Hanato, no picking on the new girl. Grimhild, no exposing new information about our students like that." (Ilya)

"Sorry Ms. Ilya, it won't happen again." (Grimhild)

Grimhild nodded her head and sat back down.

Hanato and the other bullies next to him already had a plan on getting revenge.

"Wow Grimhild, how did you do that?" (Alice)

"Do what?" (Grimhild)

"You knew about his insecurity in the snap of a finger! Did you use the "Analyzation" spell to make that happen?" (Alice)

Grimhild took off her glasses before placing them into her pocket.

"Yes I did." (Grimhild)

"But how? Don't you need to touch the opponent you're trying to analyze for that to work?" (Alice)

"Yes you're, however I modified the spell to my liking." (Grimhild)

Alice slammed her hand on the desk and leaned in closer to Grimhild's face.

"You totally gotta help me learn that! I wanna modify my spells too! I suck at spells, the only thing I'm good at is punches and kicks!" (Alice)

Grimhild cluelessly glanced at her.

"If you're only good at punches and kicks, then how did you make it to the Golden Mages?" (Grimhild)

"It's simple! When I enter my "Alice Mode" the laws of physics and reality don't apply to me anymore! So I used that to show them my skill and potential!" (Alice)

"You named this "Mode" after yourself?" (Grimhild)

"Yep! I took the opportunity and went for it. Alice Mode is unstoppable!" (Alice)

Grimhild snickered at her comment.

"I have a friend by the name Pippy Pan, I'm certain that if you both met, you two will easily get along with one another." (Grimhild)

"Pippy Pan? Isn't that like Peter Pan?" (Alice)

"I suppose so?" (Grimhild)

"Alright class, our lesson today will be talking about the angels of heaven, and the messiah. We have already went over the topics about the Greek Pantheon and the Norse Pantheon, now we're moving to Christian Pantheon." (Ilya)

Ilya would walk over to the chalkboard behind her, taking a piece of chalk from below, writing todays topic on it.

The class had noticeably gotten quieter as Ms. Ilya started her teachings.

"Now then. Let us have a minor recap for our new student Grimhild." (Ilya)

Ilya would open the drawer to her desk before bringing out a book she took notes in.

"Since you weren't here Misses Yorgana, I will give you a quick recap on history so you can understand things better on this next topic." (Ilya)

Grimhild nodded her head.

"Thank you very much." (Grimhild)

"For starters; Everyone has learned that Midgard is an infinite realm inside Yggdrasil, but it is also separated in different continents. As an example, the continent we're on is quite large, being the size of an entire star if you were to measure its size, and folded the continent together into a spherical shape." (Ilya)

Grimhild knew this already, but she must act like a student rather the intelligence witch that she was.

"Our continent is known as the Norse Continent, where the Norse gods is worshipped and respected. There's also a continent known as the Greek continent, it's size is similar to ours but the Greek gods are worshipped and respected there." (Ilya)

She traced her fingers under her notes until she stopped under the next continent.

"There is also the China continent, where Chinese gods are known and respected, and the Indian continent, African continent, and much others. We will go over those other continents after learning about the Christian continent which is our topic today." (Ilya)

She closed the book and would shove it back inside the drawer, now pushing it back in.

"As you all know, each continent has its own history and story. If you were to talk about the events of King Arthur and Thor inside another continent, then they would have no clue of what you're talking about. Asgard and other things inside other continents will be unknown, and have no relevancy to them." (Ilya)

"That's hard to believe. If that's the case then where do their gods stay?" (Student)

"Well, the Greek gods existed in Olympus but that realm was destroyed during the fight with the demon king and his army. Olympus sat right next to Asgard in the world tree, however it's gone now. There are other realms as well, such as heaven, which is where the Christian Pantheon gods live." (Ilya)

Grimhild raised her hand into the air.

"Oh? You have a question Grimhild?" (Ilya)

"Yes, I do. Speaking of heaven, I believe that it doesn't exist in our World Seed, known as Yggdrasil." (Grimhild)

Ilya would nod her head.

"Correct, it doesn't." (Ilya)

The other students were confused as they looked at one another.

"What's a world seed?" (Student)

"A World seed is self-explanatory. They're seeds that comes from the Root World. These seeds would then sprout and give life, such as Yggdrasil as an example. If you all don't know of the Root World then allow me to explain. We exist in a World Seed known as Yggdrasil, and Yggdrasil floats on a infinite expanding ocean known as the World Sea. The world Sea holds other World Seeds like Yggdrasil. Below the World Sea are Ascension layers, which are higher layers of reality that leads to the Root World, which is where all of existence comes from." (Ilya)

The students eyes widened as they were bewildered to this new information.

"We're so tiny in comparison to the world. So World seeds are like Yggdrasil then, and each world seed floats on the World Sea which is an infinite ocean that holds all the world seeds?" (Student)

The student confused himself from how he worded it and his brain began to fry.

"Correct. It sounds confusing but if you keep studying and reading over it, then you'll come to realization. World Seeds are like normal seeds that floats on the World Sea until they eventually sprout and birth life." (Ilya)

"I didn't know we were so insignificant..." (Alice)

"The world is a big place." (Grimhild)
