Chapter 87: Back To Where They Began

Grimhild was in a new set of clothes as she made her way through the border of Mesnil Nation and pass the guards around the border.

Kyto rode on the back of the carriage as she was in control of the horses, entering inside the wonderful nation of magic.

Everything was back to what it was originally. 

This was the first place they met each other. They were back to where they begun.

Once they entered the Nation, they were in District C, which is one of the cheapest areas you could live in. It was full of tourism and hundreds of people walking around. Villages were spread out in the distances and so were farm houses, windmills, and construction sights.

They traveled through District C, and some could recognize their faces. 

"I'm confused on how some people know who we are." (Kyto)

Kyto was resting on the back of the carriage, glancing at most of the people who stared their way.

"It's because of our Ranks." (Grimhild)

Kyto almost forgot, but when he looked down he could see his black mage emblem on his shirt. Grimhild's emblem was gold since she became a golden mage instead.

"Ah that's right. Well I guess that means we'll be attracting a lot of attention here..." (Kyto)

"Not particularly. We'll only attract attention in District C, since no high ranking mages visits this area, like Black Mages, and Gold Mages." (Grimhold)

"Mommy look, look! There's a black and gold mage!" (Child)

One of the kids excitedly pointed at both Grimhild and Kyto with a bright smile on their face, admiring his protectors of Mesnil Nation.

"I see that honey. Those are the mages that protect this country. Remember to always respect them and their hard work!" (Mother)

Grimhild heard the mother and smiled, proceeding onwards and out of District C.

"So each of the districts are separated by a wall?" (Kyto)

"Indeed." (Grimhild)

Upon arriving to the next district, a large gate opened up so they could go through. Entering inside the gate, they were met with an amazing view. Mountains were in the distance and the walls could be seen far away that lead into the next district, however they had no reason going there.

"Now we're in district B, our destination." (Grimhild)

The two mages finally made their way into District B as they rode down a pathway on their carriage to Magic Academy.

Mesnil Nation was at least 10 kilometers in size, being quite large to most. However in reality it was just some small country compared to others, but also one of the most important countries known in the world.

"...Finally, we've made it!" (Kyto)

Kyto hopped out the back and walked up to the front of the carriage, waiting for Grimhild.

They parked in front of magic academy, however once Grimhild got out of her seat, the carriage vanished into thin air.

"Alright, let's go get situated." (Grimhild)

"Right behind you Grimhild." (Kyto)

Grimhild was the first to walk towards Magic Academy. She didn't wear her witch hat this time, and was in a black robe instead, with a gold emblem attached to her chest.

She also wore glasses and carried a book inside her hand. She looked like an entirely different person.

"I gotta say Grimhild... this new look of yours fits you." (Kyto)

Grimhild turned to face Kyto with a smile.

"...Thank you, I wanted to change up my style a bit." (Grimhild)

Grimhild tilted her glasses up her face and opened the doors to the academy, making her way inside. Kyto followed right behind her.

They walked down a long hallway and into the lobby of the academy, where the check in lady stood nearby, behind her desk.

"Greetings students- ah! You two must be Kyto and Grimhild Yorgana?! We were expecting you both to show up, but not this early." (Check-in lady)

Grimhild read the ladies name tag on her shirt.

"Yes mam, we've traveled far to be here early. We need to keep a good reputation, Ms Rose."

Her name was Rose. She was friendly and always made peoples day with her kind hearted attitude, even to the likes of the egotistical golden mages.

"Well then, just check in here and you can be on your way to your classes!" (Rose)

"...How do we check in exactly?" (Kyto)

Rose smiled and stood up from her seat, sliding an large stone tablet across her desk, and in front of them.

"Just place your hand on the Scripture Tablet and you both can be on your way!" (Rose)

Kyto was the first to place his hand on the stone tablet as it scanned his information which resided in his Mana Force.

"Hey... it's taking all my information... what's up with that?" (Kyto)

"Well the Scripture Tablet is one of our recently new creations. It scans one's Mana Force and prints it into the stone where we can see your information, name, date of birth, and all." (Rose)

"...To think Magic Academy would have something so advanced like this." (Grimhild)

"Ahahaha, isn't it wonderful!?" (Rose)

Kyto took his hand away after his check-in was complete, and now it was Grimhild's turn.

"Excuse me." (Grimhild)

She made her way pass Kyto and placed her hand onto the tablet. It began to scan her information. To her name, date of birth, and everything about her. 

Once it was complete, she took her hand away and walked towards her classroom.

"...Hey Grimhild." (Kyto)

Kyto soon followed after Grimhild and walked next to her.

"What is it?" (Grimhild)

"That information back there. It said you were 17 in age, and your birthday is on March 21st. Is that true?" (Kyto)

Grimhild wore a smug look on her face to his question.

"Hmph. Of course not." (Grimhild)

"Then how did you bypass the Scripture Tablet?" (Kyto)

"It's magic focuses on scanning information, so I decided to mess with the Tablets spell fragments and switch it around a bit, so it wouldn't get any of my actual information." (Grimhild)

Kyto rubbed the back of his head laughing nervously.

"There's nothing you can't do at this point Grimhild... I shouldn't be surprised." (Kyto)

Kyto would reach into his pocket to take out his schedule. It told him his classes in order and where they were located via room number.

"Alright, I gotta split up. I'll catch you later after our classes." (Kyto)

Grimhild nodded.

"Likewise." (Grimhild)

The Cyrodel ran off to the opposite direction, and the witch stopped in front of her class.

"So this is it... my class." (Grimhild)

Grimhild turned the doorknob to her classroom, slowly opening it up to loud and obnoxious voices.

"HEY GIVE ME THAT BACK!" (???)

"NO! IT BELONGS TO ME!" (???)

Inside this class it was setup like an lecture hall.

Upon each step would lead to a new row of seats. She looked at her schedule to try and find her seat, but some tomato was suddenly thrown at her face.

"Bahahahaha! Watch out new girl, you're entering one of the gold mages classroom!" (???)

The voice alone sounded like he was the class bully. Next to him was an group of kids who looked mischievous.

"....You runt..." (Grimhild)

Grimhild wiped the tomato from her face and glared at him with a deadly stare. The entire classroom froze in fear as they could feel a cold chill rise up their spine.

"W-What's going on...? Why do I suddenly feel... sick...? I'm scared!" (???)

One of the classmates were about to faint from the deadly gaze Grimhild had inflicted upon everyone... however one person seemed to be unaffected.

She crossed her arms and stood up in her seat. This young girl wore a sailor uniform and a sailor hat, with green eyes and blonde hair. She seemed to be the strongest out of all the other golden mages inside the classroom.

Grimhild widened her eyes, taking note of her willpower. She could resist her deadly gaze.

"Enough of that you bully! Your name is Hanato, correct?" (???)

The sailor girl made her way down stairs and stopped right next to the bullies seat.

"Apologize to the new girl, this instant Hanato! Or you will face the ultimate wrath of Alice Konohashi!" (Alice)

Hanato looked at Alice and frowned.

"What are you gonna do Alice? Use your weak magic to leave a scratch on me?" (Hanato)

The glare from Grimhild had vanished and everyone felt normal again. She was far too focused on Alice at the moment, watching her very closely.

"I'll leave more than a scratch on you, dumbass!" (Alice)

Hanato stood up in his seat and towered over Alice.

"What did you say?" (Hanato)

"HI-YA!" (Alice)

With no hesitation, Alice kicked Hanato right in the balls, forcing him to stumble back in pain.

—POW—

The words "Pow" had literally spawned into existence. She threw another hit right into his face, knocking him backwards.

—KAPOW—

Another word would show itself into existence. 

She was like a cartoon character from the way she fought her enemies. 

"I wont let you make the readers mad from your insolent behavior towards the new girl!" (Alice)

"M-Make the readers mad? What do you mean by that...?" (???)

One of the other bullies in Hanato group had asked.

"Shut up and don't worry about it! I, as Alice Konohashi, will keep the readers happy!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY READERS?!!!?" (???)

One of the bullies shouted again.
