Chapter 316 - "Your boyfriend is very good looking." (1)

Zhou Yan suddenly felt that fate had wrapped its hand around his neck.

Why did this keep happening to him?

Zhou Yan bounced straight up into the air like a monkey. “Don’t go, Dean. I was wrong. You are not afraid of your wife. I am the one who’s afraid of my wife!”

The dean looked at him coldly and said, “Your girlfriend had dumped you. Where is this wife that you speak of?”

Ouch! Zhou Yan was stabbed right in his chest!

“Dean…… oh, please let me take a day off. Pretty please, Dean~~”

Zhou Yan grabbed the dean’s arm and shook it from side to side. They almost looked like a couple from a fair if one didn’t know any better.

The dean found Zhou Yan’s mannerism so disturbing that it gave him goosebumps. He flung Zhou Yan’s hand off of him and said, “Where did you pick up that disgusting tone? Come over to my office after lunch was over!"

Zhou Yan’s eyes lit up immediately. “Thank you, Dean. Dean, you and I are tighter than me and my dad!”

Wen Rugui and Huang Qimin were astonished by Zhou Yan’s behavior.

There was nothing that he wouldn’t say just for some time off.

The two shuddered when they recalled what they had just witnessed.

Dean Zhuang frowned the second he walked out of the canteen.

What leaked words that he was afraid of his wife?

Nobody should know that other than his family members.

Dean Zhuang was deep in thought on his way back to the dormitory. When he looked up, he suddenly saw his granddaughter playing with a kid next door.

“Let me tell you, what my grandma says goes at home. Even my grandpa is afraid of her. When Grandma scolds Grandpa, he wouldn’t even dare make a sound!”

Dean Zhuang, “……”

All this time he had been so careful, it was someone from within the family after all.

His granddaughter was the one who leaked the words that he was afraid of his wife!

When Tong Xuelu went in to work that day, she told the others that she would be taking the next day off.

She had purposefully held back on acting the last few days.

Once she started getting busy, she would not be able to take any time off.

That was the reason that she didn’t do anything for the last few days.

Meng Qingqing and the others nodded. The restaurant had no patrons. It wouldn’t matter whether the manager was there or not.

After Tong Xuelu had made her announcement, she bought extra food that day so that the others could make noodles the next day.

Someone showed up suddenly that afternoon.

She was not a patron, however. It was Jiang Danhung.

Jiang Danhung walked inside, looked around, and said, “You have no patrons?”

Tong Xuelu wasn’t expecting her there. She nodded and smiled. “Not even a fly. What brought you here?”

The school that she worked at was not very far from the restaurant but the school had its own canteen and Jiang Danhung was a frugal person. She had never visited the restaurant before.

Jiang Danhung, “I haven’t had lunch yet. What is there to eat? Anything will work.”

“I’ll make you a da lu mian.”

Tong Xuelu understood it now.

Jiang Danhung was there for the sole reason of supporting her.

Jiang Danhung nodded, “Alright.”

Even though Jiang Danhung was someone that they know, Meng Qingqing was still happy that they have a patron.

Guo Weiping hurried back to the kitchen to help. Guo Chunyu even softened her voice when she collected money and ticket from Jiang Danhung.

Meng Qingqing even went over and asked Jiang Danhung if she would like to have some water. Jiang Danhung was truly surprised at the treatment.

All the ingredients were there. All Tong Xuelu had to do was to cook the noodles and then rinsed them with cold water.

She heated up another pan to stir fry the meat and, when the meat started to change color, added in carrots, green onions, ginger, and garlic to stir fry them together.

She then added in eggs and other vegetables combined them with the seasoning, topped the noodles with them and the da lu mian was done.

Tong Xuelu was going to bring it out to Jiang Danhung herself but Meng Qingqing acted like she was worried that someone would take her work from her and grabbed the bowl of noodles and dashed.

Tong Xuelu wasn’t sure what to make of that. She had got some work ahead of her upon her return.
