Chapter 328 - Su Yushen's eyes deepened more. (3)

Business became better and better at the restaurant and those who did not believe that Tong Xuelu had it in here were all surprised.

It hadn’t even been a month yet and the restaurant’s business was already being turned around. In fact, it was doing better than it did before.

Recalling what they had said in the past. That was some faceslapping.

Some who didn’t believe that Tong Xuelu was better than them had their relatives visited the restaurant, found out what it was all about and also recreated an Achievement Board and malatang at their own restaurants.

Nevertheless, their stories were not as well written as Tong Xuelu’s and, in addition, Tong Xuelu’s Achievement Board was already well known by others.

All the others were doing right now was just being copycats and nobody paid them any attention.

As for their malatang. They might look legit but, when actually eating them, they were a little lacking. All in all, they just were not as tasty.

For the same cost, the patrons were better off visiting Tong Xuelu’s restaurant.

Besides, the City Nan’s government-operated restaurant was so raved about that one would just want to go there for the sake of it.

It was the same idea as internet influencers frequenting popular places in modern times. The more popular a place was, the more patrons they would get.

It was human nature to go where the crowd was.

In fact, the restaurant was raved by so many that the other Tong family finally found out about it.

When Cai Chunlan returned home that day, she brought a news with her: Tong Xuelu was not only the substitute chef at the restaurant, she had been appointed the manager of the restaurant.

An 18-year-old manager, and a female at that.

That was unheard of!

When the Tong family learned about this, they were both shocked and feeling a little regretful.

Had they maintained their relationship on good terms with Tong Xuelu and did not turn a blind eye time and again when she was in trouble, they would now be able to mooch off of her at the restaurant from time to time.

In addition, it would be so much pride to tell others that they have a manager sister/daughter.

At least much more prestigious than Tong Zhenzhen being in a farm.

Cai Chunlan was very excited when she told the story. “I’ve heard that something had happened at the restaurant and they had lost all of their patrons. Tong Xuelu was the one that made the restaurant known to everyone with her Achievement Board and malatang!

“It was said that you will need to take a number when you want to dine at that restaurant. Many waited for days and still hadn’t gotten their malatang. I wonder what that tastes like……”

Mother Tong’s face was dark like the gutter. “Eat your dinner. Why do you have so much to say? You can step away now if you don’t want to have dinner.”

Cai Chunlan, “……”

Mother Tong, too, felt somewhat regretful. But she wasn’t about to put down her pride and go seek out Tong Xuelu.

That night, when Tong Xuelu returned home from work, she hadn’t even sat down yet and she heard a knocking on the door.

Tong Jiaxin ran to get the door and a string of people walked in.

Walking in the very front was Su Yueshen who was carrying Xiao Jiu in his arms. “Sorry to disturb you so late at night, Comrade Tong.”

Tong Xuelu quickly stood up when she saw Su Yueshen. “Hi, Comrade Su.”

Xiao Jiu reached up his arms at Tong Xuelu. “Big Sister, Xiao Jiu misses you so much!”

Tong Xuelu quickly took him into her harms. “Is Xiao Jiu coming over today because he misses Big Sister?”

Xiao Jiu nodded, “And Big Sister Mianmian as well.”

“Mianmian is asleep. You might not be able to see her tonight.”

Tong Xuelu almost busted out laughing. Xiao Jiu was still referring to Mianmian as Big Sister. Truth was, he was a whole year older than Mianmian at 4.5 years old.

Frowning, Xiao Jiu stuck out a finger. “Can I just take a look at her? Just one look?”

Tong Xuelu rubbed him on his head, “Sure.”

Xiao Jiu’s eyes lit up right away. He shimmered down from Tong Xuelu’s cradle and, without needing any guidance, pitter pattered toward Tong Mianmian’s room.

Su Yueshen’s eyes darkened more when he saw that.

He had been wondering why Xiao Jiu had been such a good boy at the Tong’s and always said that he missed the Tong’s after his return.

Su Yueshen thought he had an idea now.

The Tong’s parents might have passed away early, leaving only children at home. But Tong Xuelu, as the oldest, took very good care of her younger siblings.

Xiao Jiu was more relaxed at the Tong’s than at the Gu’s. In fact, the Gu family did an awful job raising him.

Xiao Jiu was already 4 years old but he didn’t even know his own name or that of the adults. He was not able to find his way home once he was lost.

That made Su Yueshen very angry.
