The Heart of Alaistes

Wyndom Ransford is dying. Something he knew since he was very young. Yet, the passage of time has not led to acceptance, rather, it has begotten anger, desperation, and fear. Wyndom is unwilling to die and if the Gods won't give him a chance to change his fate, he will have to take it for himself. Hearing tell of an ever beating heart hidden deep within the sands of the Salana Desert, Wyndom leaves behind his crumbling noble estate on what may be the last journey he ever makes.
