Deliberations on their next move continued late into the night. There was no consensus on what to do, and the stalemate wasn't what Kanae had in mind after regrouping with her people and the Saint Priests.

As a political, economic, and military ally to Radevic, the Commonwealth of Sin had every obligation to send their forces to help King Turren and Grand Eye Analise. Kanae understood deeply the dangers to her people if Archbishop Gretchen successfully assumed power. The problem was because she was a succubus, and her country was ruled by succubi.

Three Saint Priests were wholly against Kanae sending an army to Radevic. Ulric Boradin was the only one for it.

The effeminate dark elf slammed a fist onto the war table, knocking markers off their stand. "Who knows how much longer the Grand Eye and Vestrid can hold out. We don't have the time to wait on Lanil and the other two!"

"You're not the only one worried," Danito began. "However, letting Commonwealth forces right into Radevic is not a precedent we want to set. Imagine the panic that would ensue from the citizens."

As they continued arguing, Kanae backed away from the table to where Arenade and Edina sat. Both were bored out of their minds, with chins resting on their hands.

"I thought the Saint Priests were powerful. How come they can't just go in and solve the problem together?" Kanae whispered.

Edina scoffed. "Together? Probably unstoppable. We're only looking at half their manpower. Really though, it doesn't matter if you maxed out your Crowned levels. Someone sticks a knife between your ribs and there's no healing magic around to save you, you're a goner. Good for me though. I get to raise 'em!"

Don't say that when the Saint Priests are right there, Kanae wanted to retort.

They were on thin ice with the Saint Priests. Three of which were sent specifically to stop the Commonwealth's advancing forces.

"Hey, that bishop. What did you say her full name was again?" Arenade asked, tugging Kanae by her sleeve.

"Archbishop Gretchen Redbaron. A high elf," Kanae answered.

The fallen demigoddess' expression soured.

"Redbaron. Of course, those bastards are still around." Arenade sighed.

"Is that a well-known family in Ortesia?" Kanae asked.

She nodded. "Back then, high elves ruled as an oligarchy consisting of high-ranking members of the clergy, merchant barons, and scholars. I was— My ancestors were among this select group. The Redbarons in particular were a wealthy family of spice traders that bought their way into church offices. Their head of the house at the time led the vote to send me— excuse me, my family into exile."

The reason being Arenade spent her own wealth to help the poor. Well, at least Kanae could add that to the list of things to hate Gretchen for. Speaking of which, she still felt the gradual flow of mana from the Cursemark. That must mean the archbishop hadn't kicked the bucket yet and probably sated the desire for sex to replenish herself.

Good. Keep falling. When they met again in Aidenhall, it would be all the sweeter.

"We're not getting anywhere," Kanae said as she stood up, interrupting the Saint Priests' arguing. "Tomorrow, we'll go to Lograin together. King Turren will decide whether or not the Commonwealth marches on Radevic."

Delayn clicked her tongue. Unsurprisingly, she was part of the camp against the Commonwealth's intervention. The suggestion was thankfully enough to placate the Saint Priests, and everyone broke off for the night to get some rest.

As Kanae exited the tent with Arenade and Edina, someone tackled her from behind.

"Mama! Can we hang out?" Teana asked pleadingly, eyes glinting like the stars.

"It's getting late. Shouldn't you be asleep like the others?" Kanae asked.

She pouted. "Awww. But I haven't seen you in so long…"

The disappointment and sadness in Teana's voice struck Kanae with a pang of guilt.

"Why not?" Arenade said. "Go catch up with Teana. I'll be in the royal tent."

"I'm gonna hit the sack, too." Edina yawned on her way out.

Soon enough, Kanae and Teana were the only ones around save for the night-shift guards patrolling the camp. They lit a nearby campfire put out a while ago by soldiers. Their waterskins and half-eaten bowls of food littered the tree stumps used as seats.

Kanae sat upright against the base of the stump and beckoned to Teana. Her ears perked up. The goblin girl sat between Kanae's legs and laid back like a big baby.

"So, how's school?" Kanae asked while stroking her daughter's head.

"Really, Mama? After all that's happened, the first thing you ask me about is school? If anything, I should be asking you how's school." Teana groaned aloud.

Heat rose to Kanae's face. It was the only question that came to mind. Her parents used to ask that all the time, too— Wait… and everytime they asked, she hardly cared to answer.

Kanae yielded. "Okay, smart-ass. What do you want to talk about?"

"Hmmm. I wanna know how you and Papa fell in love!" Teana reared her head back to look Kanae right in the eyes.

"You haven't asked Papa yourself?"

"He gets embarrassed whenever I ask…"

Probably for good reason.

"Well, it didn't happen right away. Papa saved my life twice from monsters, and on the second time I understood how he felt about me. It's kind of embarrassing for me, too, but being around him really makes me feel good about myself," Kanae recounted fondly.

"Oh! Just looking at Papa, I'd never have guessed he had it in him to save people. What about Auntie Arenade and Uncle Noah? How did you fall in love with them?" Teana pressed harder.

"What's with all these questions about my love life?" she asked only for it to click a split second later, seeing her daughter's own embarrassed and fidgety demeanor. "It's about Nelly, isn't it?"

Teana sat straight up and gasped in bewilderment.

"How did you know? Did you gain some sort of mind-reading skill?" Teana asked.

"I'll leave that to your imagination. But it looks like I was right. Did something happen between you two? Spill," Kanae urged her.

"Lately, Nelly's been avoiding me… When I try to get close, he moves away. I share food with him, he gets his own. He doesn't even want to bathe together anymore like we used to! I'm starting to think he doesn't like me anymore…"

There was no damn way Kanae raised Teana up to be this dense.

"What do I do, Mama? I really like Nelly, and I want him to like me back! Is it because I'm a goblin? Or a succubus? He always acts normally around other girls. Should… Should I charm him?" Teana asked.

"No," Kanae said firmly and brought her daughter's hands together. "That shouldn't even be the last thing you should do. You don't charm the people you love… Okay, maybe sometimes for fun and as a joke is fine. But never force someone to like you. They have to decide that on their own, like…" She smothered Teana with a hug and scraped their horns together. "How I love each and every one of you! Nelly will come around one day. Until then, keep poking. He won't be able to resist someone as cute as my daughter for long."

"Hehe. Thanks, Mama. I feel a lot better now. I don't wanna keep you from Auntie Arenade, so—"

When Teana tried to get up and leave, Kanae pulled her back down.

"Turning in already? Don't you want to hear about how I'm doing at school?" Kanae joked.

"Yes!" Teana exclaimed.

The Commonwealth war camp was mostly packed and ready to leave first thing in the morning. Whether they would be marching towards Radevic or back home, Kanae would find out when the Saint Priests returned from asking King Turren in Lograin. In the meantime, she helped Arenade put on her armor in front of a mirror.

"Where did you even get this? It looks like something out of a fairy tale," Kanae said as she connected the cape from one shoulder to the other.

At first glance, it looked like a ceremonial white dress. However, there was the unmistakable glimmer of silver chainmail underneath and a feathered gorget around her neck. The Halo of Holy Radiance and its glow put the entire outfit together, like it had been designed with that in mind.

"It's tailor-made by Lina and Rog. Remember them? They moved into Ehmvier shortly after you left. It's passable for someone such as myself, but the biggest elephant in the room is you. Which street whore's discount shop did you pick THAT up from?" Arenade asked of Kanae's much skimpier outfit, the Matron's Regalia.

"Hey, this outfit came from succubus queens in the past! I think it looks nice." Kanae pouted and checked out how nice her ass looked being pinched in the back.

Just then, a guard called from outside the royal tent. "Queen Kanae, Queen-regent Arenade, the Saint Priests have returned!"

They emerged from the tent and into the morning sun. Only two riders, Ulric and Delayn, came up to them.

"King Turren… has granted you permission to march upon Radevic," Delayn said spitefully.

"There, there." Ulric patted his colleague on the shoulder, but she shook off his hand.

The dark elven Saint Priest had in fact worn a skirt with frills and ribbons. He could easily pass off as a young woman, looking like that. Even with his hair pulled back into a ponytail, not a single feature about him had a masculine bone to it.

Ulric turned to them with a pretty and carefree smile. "Danito and Camilla rode ahead and will meet us there. King Turren wanted to warn you— There is no doubt in his mind that Ortesia will see this as an act of aggression on part of the Commonwealth. However, he intends to weather that storm together as allies when the time comes. Saving the Grand Eye and bringing Archbishop Gretchen to justice comes first."

"You heard him," Kanae said to her army's officers. "Finish packing and move out! We have an ally of the Commonwealth to save!"

Everyone fanned out to do just that. Arenade especially, since she had been leading the country up until now, went around to bark orders.

Kanae's daughters suddenly landed in front of her expectantly.

"Mama, what do you want us to do?" Teana asked.

"We're ready to help in any way we can!" Pan exclaimed a little too eagerly.

"You four will be going back home," Kanae scolded, then placed a powerful charm on each of them that caused their bodies to stiffen. "First of all, you're too precious to me to let you go to war. Secondly, you shouldn't be out here to begin with. Thirdly, no talking back or coming back. I'm serious."

Their ears drooped.

They gave a dejected and long-drawn, "Okaaaaay…"

"Erin, Taileen?" Kanae called to the Sisters of Sin twins.

"Here, Queen Kanae." Erin and Taileen showed up from behind already kneeling.

"Escort my daughters home and make sure they behave," she ordered.

They stood up and bowed. "At once!"

Kanae gave each of her daughters a kiss to the forehead followed by a light flick. All of them flinched and sulked even though they saw it coming. The four of them took flight with Erin and Taileen escorting them towards home.

The last of the tents had been taken down, and they were ready to move. Kanae and Arenade led the way from the skies. Edina summoned an army of undead, with two death knights and a bone brute to serve as the vanguard. The five remaining Sisters of Sin shored up the rear.

Although the road to Radevic was long and tiresome, Kanae's people didn't waver one bit. They knew just as much as her what was at stake.

In the middle of their march, Kanae noticed Ulric waving at her from the head of the army. She flew down to meet him.

"Something wrong?" Kanae asked.

"It's nothing. I just wanted to talk to the almighty Demon Queen of Sin. I have to say, you're everything I expected and more!" Ulric exclaimed with stars in his eyes.

"Well, I try to do my best to impress. If you don't mind me asking, what's the more part?"

"You want to know?" He leaned in and half-cupped the side of his mouth. "For one thing, it gets me rock hard just looking at you."

It was tough to tell if Ulric was testing her or being serious. Having been where he 'came from', Kanae knew a little about being in Ulric's shoes. Or in this case, high heels and skirt. There was a thrill to it. Heart thumping with anticipation as people had looked at her, gears turning in their heads trying to figure out if she was a girl or boy. Although not always sexual, it could be quite intense when it was. She offered a tease of her own.

"Is it really okay for a Saint Priest to be flirting with a succubus queen?" Kanae asked seductively, almost inviting Ulric to say yes.

"I've only been a Saint Priest for four years now. That makes me the fledgling in the order, so I'm not as much a stickler as say Danito or Vestrid. Unlike a certain someone, I'd love to have a little fun sometimes." Ulric glanced down to the right where Delayn was nodding off on her horse.

"Oh? What kind of fun?" she whispered.

"You know without me telling you." He returned to Kanae with a provocative grin, lifted his skirt to reveal a raging boner, and pretended to stroke a dick with his other hand. "I heard rumors that her majesty, the Demon Queen of Sin, is packing a little something between those legs of yours."

The thought sent shivers of desire up Kanae's spine. Ulric was definitely that kind of crossdresser. With a slender body and limbs, a pretty face, shoulders lacking in width, and not a single hair on his face other than neat and thin eyebrows, it was no wonder he developed a complex and certain… predilections.

"The rumors are true, but it isn't the only thing between my legs." Kanae lifted her tail and opened her second pussy, causing Ulric's dick to throb and ooze with precum.

If a Saint Priest wanted to offer himself on a silver platter, who was Kanae to decline?

"Brace! Magical artillery from Radevic!" Arenade shouted from above.

The cloudy evening skies were lit up a dark red by fireballs screeching across the horizon. They were coming from Aidenhall, cresting over the city and towards Kanae's army.

"All spellcasters, with me—"

"Please, my queen. Allow me," Ulric interrupted Kanae and drew his long bow. He dismounted first, then fired an arrow into the sky. "Multishot!"

The single arrow duplicated into a volley of thousands, reaching into the sky to meet the artillery of spells head on.

"There's no way those arrows are going to repel all that!" Kanae panicked.

"Ulric, quit fooling around and do it already!" Delayn yelled.

"Oh, fine." Ulric closed both hands over his mouth and blew a kiss upward. "Mass Dispel!"

Every single arrow illuminated with radiant light in unison and the artillery vanished. The volley of arrows vanished. Only a single arrow whistled through the sky and plunged somewhere deep into the forest between the army and Radevic.

Kanae's jaw dropped. What would have taken all her mana and a wand in both hands and tail, Ulric achieved effortlessly with two skills and a bow.

The dark elven Saint Priest curtsied and winked. "I look forward to getting to know you, Demon Queen of Sin~"
