Pov- John
"Thank you for the visit," Said Jack downheartedly.
After such a long day, I think I'll just go home and go to sleep.
We are now walking through the creepy forest again, surprisingly enough, it wasn't as creepy when we first entered.
"So John, I think I did my job perfectly right?" Said Rey leading the walk while Hela and I are walking behind him.
"I guess so. I'll just send the money online." I said in a tired tone of voice.
"That's great! Don't forget it though," he said the last line with some malicious intent. Oh boy, I don't want to antagonise you.
"I never have forgotten any business though."
"That's because you have forgotten them," wait, seriously?
"When?" I asked doubtfully.
"No use in reminding them, you've already forgotten them," Rey said as a matter of fact.
"Now You're just trolling me."
"I guess the only thing that you need to remember is that you still haven't paid back my money," What money?
We stopped walking and looked at each other with some kind of weird faces while Hela is still walking as if she didn't see us.
"I'll pay it someday," I said as I continued walking. let's go with the flow for a little bit.
"No, I was joking, you didn't owe me anything," said Rey with a smug face. Oh you motherfucker, just wait till I get smart.
We then catch up to Hela who is by the way still walking like no tomorrow.
This day couldn't get any more normal than it is, Which is why it's disturbing. In fact, it's so disturbing that my instincts only just started ringing after we got out of the store.
*ring* *ring*
"Oh, someone's calling," said Rey as he pulls out his phone. Yeah, my instinct is screaming right now.
"Hello, Rey here."
[Operation cocoon]
"Roger that," Rey's face suddenly distorted into a pissed face that made me and Hela stop whatever we were doing.
"Hey Rey, what's going on?" I said with a bit of nervousness in my voice.
"Operation cocoon, you cover the south side, I'll protect the west while Jack protects the east, this was supposed to be a normal day though," Rey said as he lets out a sigh. What was the operation cocoon again? Let's just protect the south side I guess.
[MODE THREE]
"Roger that," I then ran to the south side at full speed leaping in the alleyways and buildings like some kind of ninja.
[Aura]
I spread out my aura to cover up the whole south side of the city. I also sensed something quite interesting but troublesome thing.
"Why are you here?" I said to the one that is following me.
"I saw... The two of you changed your expressions making me curious about what is happening," she said in a monotone voice. Yeah, it was Hela who was following me. Maybe I can make this a test to see her capabilities more.
"You can come, just don't mess up."
"Okay," this is the first time that she agreed without nodding. I wonder why?
We then got to the border of the south side of the city which is only a dense forest. My aura also doesn't sense anyone that could cause an attack, yet.
"We will position here, spread out your aura so that we could sense where they are going," I ordered as mode 3 was cancelled.
"So... Who are we fighting," said Hela with a hidden excitement under her monotone voice.
"To be honest, I don't know, I forgot what operation cocoon means," I said with a serious face.

"So you... Got worked up over something that you don't know?" She said with doubt and a little bit of disappointment in her voice. Are you a battle freak type?
"Though I did that, Rey's distorted face is enough."
Rey is the type of guy that will be always positive at everything he does, him having a distorted face means that something is up that even Rey wants to immediately fix. I need to memorise our codes and stuff again, So troublesome.
She nodded with understanding as she sits down in a nearby tree and waited.
...
It is right now 4:00 in the afternoon after we waited for about 20 minutes. I don't even know if Rey got the info right or not anymore.
Since there is nothing to do, I decided to bring out my phone and saw my reflection on it, that's when I realised something.
I don't were a mask.
Generally, I always wear my suit every time I go on a mission but to think that I forgot to wear it is mind-boggling. Never did I expect them to attack this place anyway.
"Hey Hela, can you make some kind of clothes in your magic thing?" I asked.
"I... Don't have anything that can fit you," she said in a monotone voice, as always.
So her clothes are not created but transported here huh? Is there a limit to her <powers>?
My inner mode 3 is acting up again analysing people left and right. Mode 3 and 1 would always activate by themselves if they deem the situation dangerous or interesting as if they are some kind of sentient being. Not that I am bothered by it though.
"Can you bring out a mask then?" Hopefully, she has one.
"I... Think I have some of them," she said as she raises her hand forward.
"[Dimensional crack]"
After she said some kind of chant, a blue circle appeared on the ground as it releases some mask that she told me of.
"These... Masks are the only things that I have." She said as she withdrew her hand.
"Magic sure is handy eh," I said with absolutely no envy, right none at all.
"What... Kind of magic do you have John?"
"Eh?" What did she just say?
"Magic element. I was always curious about what kind of magic you have because you have never shown me one."
[MODE 3]
Magic element? Is she talking about some kind of magic that is common to them? Is she mistaking me for having magic? If she does then why come to that conclusion? Things don't make any sense at all and it is making me puke. Let's just be honest then.
"I don't have any magic." Hopefully, things clear out.
"But... You have mana though?" She said in an innocent but monotone voice.
"Ma...na?" My head suddenly blanks out.
My aura suddenly leaks. It was so dense and heavy that normal people could die just being near it. I couldn't even care less though.
My sudden leak of aura might have surprised Hela for a bit, no, she was surprised for sure. That just works in my favour though.
I looked at her, sternly, as if I were looking for answers. I raised my gun, pointed it at her head, and threaten her.
"Why do you know the word <mana>?"
