"Just sit on the couch while I'm gone. Don't do anything stupid." John said to me after we finished our quiet dinner.

I just nodded quietly as I made it through the living room and sit there.

The technologies of this world are peculiarly advanced. Communication devices that can make you talk to someone far away without any magic are quite convenient per se.

I just sit there quietly with nothing to do whatsoever. This didn't bother me one bit as I always have great patience in the first place.

I looked around a bit to see anything unusual but didn't see anything that much to begin with.

I also cannot describe the objects that are inside his apartment with great accuracy as I still don't know what it was called.

Having no information about anything that I observe is what I always hated since I was a child. Not being stronger than my opponents also greatly infuriates me and it drives me to do better than them.

Those were the two reasons I wanted to live with John. To understand this kind of anomaly and to see anything that could make the current me stronger than him.

I looked around for a bit again and saw numerous beings that were also present in my home world.

Spirits, Spirits are beings that are created after a living being died.

They are a type of undead creature that will only do their specific role and ambition until they ran out of fuel.

There were three types of spirits that were commonly known in my home world.

1. Dream spirits. Though its name is dream spirit, it has nothing to do with someone's dream. This kind of spirit will always want to succeed in their past self's ambition or at least see their child or grandchild succeed in what he wasn't able to.
2. Evil spirits. This kind of spirit will always have some kind of regret or hatred over someone's else life. The main difference between evil spirits and dream spirits is that evil spirits will try to destroy the life of someone he hates by reducing their targets karma and dream spirits will try not to interfere with someone's life. Evil spirits can sustain themselves by feasting on dream spirits.
3. Greater spirits are spirits that generally kill evil spirits. They usually can be seen by the naked eye but they will always hide when a living being comes. They are created when a soul with very high karma died. After they died, the remains of their souls are left out in the living world while the original soul gets reincarnated without their memory.

Generally, I should be seeing those kinds of spirits in this city but the only ones that I am seeing are evil spirits.

This could only mean one thing.

"The greater spirits lost."

If the greater spirits lost the war against the evil spirits then it will most likely make the evil spirit dominant in the area and will most likely bring down the luck and karma around it.

Killing evil spirits was a common practice in our old world so seeing this many evil spirits actually surprises me.

Maybe killing them would be a great way to spend my time here. It's also a great way to train her for the moment.

I made my decision quickly as I turned around to find anywhere that has a bit of space. Maybe I can summon her in front of that black screen.

I deactivated my enhancement as I raised my hand towards the front. My hair started to grow shorter as my mana started to leave my body. A white magic circle appeared before me with complex magic runes that are almost impossible to understand.

I closed my eyes slowly as I try to control the mana that is now leaving my body with greater proficiency and greater efficiency. The said mana was led to the magic circle because the magic circle was powered by mana.

That was then, I said the chant that was not too loud nor not too soft.

"Tenant: aliquis"

Tenant is an ability exclusive only to magic users. This is also unique to one's user and will never have a copy.

This would've been faster if I was in my prime but I guess I get what I have.

The process is now also complete as the humanoid body was now covered in mist which was due to the excessive mana being used. This didn't bother me one bit though.

The mist clear-up and she was revealed.

A maid appeared. She has black hair and blue eyes and her body proportion is almost similar to mine. She is surrounded by a calm aura that contradicts her surprised face.

"My lady... Your-"

"Lapis, I have a mission for you," I said to the maid named Lapis.

She started at me for a few moments with just a surprised expression before she calms down as she bows down to me.

"What could I be of your service my lady?" She said respectfully.

"Kill all of the evil spirits outside this building. Do not leave anyone behind. Also, do this in your spiritual mode so you could not be seen by the townsfolks below. This isn't the same world we live in. Also, try to understand this world's technologies as they may become useful in the future.

"I understand my lady." She said firmly as she began to look transparent until she cannot be seen anymore.

The whole living room became quiet as soon as she disappeared which is quite disappointing because I also want a companion here.

I then returned to the couch then sits there as if nothing happened at all.
