After meditating so that he could remember and understand the knowledge he had just received, Kevin realized that magicians where not the only ones that can use magic.

And he also discovered why he had the Novice mage job even though he didn’t have any memory of performing magic.
In this world, those whose bodies were born with bodies that had an affinity for magic could get the Novice mage job immediately since they had absorbed mana just by being exposed to the air.

It was believed that some children had got a lot of mana from their mothers when in the belly so they even got a job before birth. This was rumored in mage class parents but also in some other classes.

Since most classes used mana in one way or the other, I depended on how much mana they ran through their body and what type of magic circuit they used.

A magic circuit was the way a magic user rotated their mana in their bodies. Every job class that used mana as an energy had its own different circuits since they needed mana in specific areas to perform specific skills at specific times.

The magic circuits that could move mana throughout the whole body where of high grades and were very rare. Some clans had used them to stand out and become hegemonic so a magic circuit was not a very important thing that was like a tramp card that separated the destined to be great and the common cannon folder.

The magicians who were the main mana based users where also divided into types by elements and disciplines they used..
There were other classes that used mana but where different in the way they could output their mana.

Mages could use mana to throw fire balls and other outward spells while those who could only use a type of magic by applying it to themselves or something else were like magic swordsmen where usually called element induced classes. One could have a talent for a type of magic not as a mage but an elemental inducer. One could be both a mage and an inducer , but those people where called geniuses born in a 1000.

Kevin also learnt about the ambient magic and those who used it to their advantage. These people where formation experts. They used a little magic to draw magic into their constructs. Something excited Kevin and it was that One who had enough magic sense could even differentiate the use of a formation by the ambient mana it gave off. Like green was safe and used to hide or clean stuff, red for killing, purple for curse and black for trap or enclosure and many other colors for teleportation, poison and many more.

Kevin also learn that there were other types of energies and how they reacted with mana. Like chi that was extremely explosive when linked with mana. They just didn’t mix. There was also natural energy that was neutral to mana but could not be touched by it. Mana hated chi but avoided natural energy. Chi was actually a lone wolf and hated them all.

People exploded trying to mix them to get the ultimate energy that could do it all. In fighting, Mana was good at the long rang, chi was good at close range and natural energy was a support type energy.

There where other things like so simple beginner circuit, Exercises, basic types of elements, where they were found, what they were good for in combat and other fields. Even magic in beasts, formulas to determine mana interactions in specific areas and more.

He couldn’t understand it all since he got bored by the researcher lingo. He decided to call the others in the room. When they arrived, the started telling them about the cool library and the book he got but he ended up giving Zola and Jett a good old 4 hour lecture.

It was a side effect of the system pumping his head full of knowledge. When he started talking about the basics of magic, he was like a rolling ball on a slope. He just couldn’t stop.

“Kevin, its getting late and we should start moving back to the mansion or else you Ms. Tyra will kill us.” Interrupted Jett who had become a sort of butler nowadays. He even took lessons from the mansion butter.

Kevin then said “Oh yes, sorry I guess I got a little excited. You guys should pick a book. They will probably give you the understanding of magic book too since you guys have even less knowledge about the broad ocean of mana and its sensitive….”

Cough cough

Jett who clearly his throat interrupting Kevin who moved to the side and let them approach the orb.

Zola went first and got a smaller black book that seemed to be Disappearing into the air itself. It was tittle “Shadows 101”. Shadow magic was cool and very elusive; best for Assassins and Zola had a high talent of it. Kevin had checked Zola, Jett and Otis’ affinities of recent. Zola had an A rank affinity for daggers, shadow magic and ice magic making her an Assassin by birth, Jett had a B rank affinity for a spear and shield plus a B rank affinity in earth magic. Otis was the more weird one as he had a B rank affinity for chi instead of any magic and a B rank talent in a bow and arrow plus a C rank affinity for a poison.

Jett also approached the orb and after a few lights from the orb. It gave him a huge book, twice the size of Kevin’s.

Hahaha…” Kevin just started laughing when he saw the giant book and even Zola couldn’t help laughing. The book was thicker than Kevin’s head.

“seems the orb wants you to learn the basics of the basics of magic" said Kevin mockingly but Jett just smirked at him and it gave him a bad feeling.

Jett’s book was titled “pebble by pebble: Earth 101” it was a book on earth magic meaning Kevin was the only one who got cheated by the orb to learn research history and more literature about magic.

Kevin was greatly shocked since he expected them to get the same book he got. The orb evaluated that she has enough information about the basic of magic. Curse my rotten luck.

He couldn’t help but cry inside as he signaled for them to get ready to go. Kevin then thought about how to keep the castle. It said it could shrink right. How do I do that. System?

Ding

To control the soul item. Please exit and will it to shrink and enter your soul space.

Ding

How do I will it? Dammed system always giving me half answers. Kevin went outside the castle and started trying to control the castle.

“Kevin, there is a toilet on the first floor if you really have to go.” Said Jett interrupting again.

“ what!” Kevin was stunned by what he heard and then noticed he was making weird faces.

“All am saying is you don’t have to hold it in" said Jett innocently.

Jerk” yelled Kevin and he continued his process but he tried to relax a bit more.

Suddenly a light earthquake was felt and the huge castle in front of them just disappeared into a small tennis size ball of white light. The ball of light then floated and entered Kevin’s head.

Jett and Zola couldn’t believe what they had just seen and wanted to just remove their eyes, clean them and put them back to be sure.

“haaa…how ….did you do that?” stammered Jett as he looked at Kevin with his mind blown.

“big brother Kevin understands the basics of magic" said Zola innocently as she looked at Kevin like an Idol.

“yes, I do" said Kevin in a smug tone and started walking away. He was equally as shocked when he peeped and saw that the castle was gone but after hearing the short words from Zola. He just couldn’t lose out the pride he felt.

When they got home,

He got Gus and Otis to escape a little with him. When they reached the forest he summoned the castle but this time round it was a nice bungalow since he only wanted the library. Gus and Otis were shocked, the proud peacock Kevin started preaching of his own greatness and even gave a mini lecture on magic. When they entered the library, Kevin was depressed again since Gus who had a B rank in fire magic and a B rank in a great sword got a book called “sprouting inferno” and Otis got a book titled “the 100 devil posion arts".

Dammed orb what in the world is a 4 year old support to do with poisons.

Later when they got home again; he was informed that tomorrow would be the day his instructors come. His father had said he would be trained by some of the best instructor he could find and they were finally coming. His bad mood finally turned into a big old happy smile again.

The long awaited training session was just about to begin.
