Kevin sat on the ground unmoving drenched in a cocktail of his sweat and blood. Jett was carrying away the body to a hole beyond the barrier. He buried it there plus the body of Zach. He they started cleaning up the trail he left as he dragged the bodies away.

 

 

 Meanwhile Zola came to Kevin and said “Thank you. Next time I will protect you as you have done for me.” She had stared at him from the time he killed the man and she felt rage because she couldn’t do anything as her master did something so messy. I will not let this happen again, next time I will kill them all. You won’t suffer again. She thought.

 

 

In Kevin’s head, it felt like the world was spinning too fast and he was just falling endlessly but when Zola hugged him as she made her oath to kill for Kevin; a thought came to his head. I did what needed to be done.

 

He kept on repeating the same thing and suddenly the foggy head cleared up and a system notification sounded.

The sight of a mentally loose Kevin laughing and giggling in front of a chair further increased the resolve of Zola to be the best killer she can be. She wanted to protect Kevin and Jett.

 

Let’s check out the library. Kevin walked and when up stairs in the mansion. He then saw two double doors that looked magnificent. He opened them and he saw more walls of bookshelves labeled fire magic, shadow magic, basics, venom, sound, ice, gravity, hypnosis, time, storm, crystal, earth, wind, arcane magic. All these were magic types and there was a crystal ball in the center of the library.

 

Kevin tried to approach the shelf on lightning magic but he was bounced away by a force. It stung as if he was shocked by electricity. For about a few minutes, his heart was beating like he had been running for miles and he was very confused for some unknown reason. He just kept on looking can the shelves but he couldn’t put two thoughts together.

“who are you calling an idiot?, dammed system why are you talking more than usual anyway?” yelled Kevin as his face was as red as a tomato from the shame as he invested 3 of his undistribution stat points in the wis stat so that he didn’t feel like am idiot for having a single digit in it.

 

He made his way to the orb as he still grumbled with shame and rage at the system, mana sight skill and the castle.

 

He put his hand on the orb and it started to glow. Kevin felt a pulse of mana pass through his body and then.

A blue book as thick as a dictionary appeared in front of him. It was just floating in mid air. He reached out and touched it. When he grabbed onto it. Stopped floating and fell to the ground.

It hit his foot and Kevin felt his face moist for some reason . His eyes couldn’t see all that well. His mind and body were in just two different states.
