‘Finally, that damn nagging feeling of being watched from afar is gone.’ Inwardly thought Primordius as he suddenly stopped from his track and looked back with a sigh of relief on his face.
‘But, who could it have been?’ He wondered. Even though he wasn’t able to find the watcher. He was a hundred percent sure that it wasn’t just an illusion and that he was truly being watched.
‘It might have been that guy Cassius.’ He guessed. Out of all the powerful people exploring the ancient ruined city, only that guy came into mind.
Through the memories of his victims, Primordius already knew that many powerful people and noble families were exploring the ancient ruined city.
Even the legendary second prince of the mighty Schlumtas Kingdom was currently exploring the ancient ruined city as well, accompanied by a handful of powerful royal Knights.
It was also the main reason that he didn’t dare to venture too deep or into the inner area of the ancient ruined city. He wasn't that stupid to face and provoke any of these people with his current strength.
Nonetheless, out of all those powerful people exploring the ancient ruined city, one of them stood out the most and that was Cassius Belfort, also known as the guardian of the Belfort Ducal household and the vice-commander of the Schlumtas Kingdom’s grand army.
Not only he was a powerful level 72 Swordmaster and Archer, but he was also the holder of a powerful S Rank Skill known as Sword Domain as well as an Epic Skill known as the Eagle Eyesight.
He was able to become a monstrous existence feared by many because of these two powerful skills combined. To make matter worse, he also knew how to make use and took advantage of these two skills to perfection.
That was even more true for the Eagle Eyesight. Just like its name implied, it allowed the user to have an accurate and long-distance vision similar to that of an eagle.
It exponentially enhanced the vision of the user beyond that of a human. Now, imagine using that skills in close and long-range combat.
‘Aside from this guy, I can't think of anyone else.’ He was able to come up with this conclusion for none than the fact that Cassius possessed the Eagle Eyesight Skill.
With such skill, the lucky bastard could even see up to two miles with complete accuracy and clarity. As such, it wasn't far-fetched to view him as the primary suspect.
‘The Eagle Eyesight, that's not a bad skill, especially for a human.’ Even though Primordius's eyesight far surpassed that of a human and could see in the dark, his eyesight couldn't compare to that of Cassius’s Eagle Eyesight.
That wasn't all, his Eagle Eyesight wasn't just a regular skill but an Epic one, which meant it had the ability to grow and evolve into something even more terrifying.
It would be a big fat lie to say that he wasn't interested in that skill. However, he knew his limit. He knew that he wasn't a match for Cassius at the moment which was why he chose to run away.
‘Keep it safe for me, I'll come back for it.’ Said Primordius as he licked his lips before resuming his journey.
It didn't matter whether it was an F Rank skill or an SSS Rank skill, Primordius intended to devour and acquire them all to accomplish his goal.
To him, the Apex or the Peak was an existence that could adjust itself to any kind of environment and survive with absolutely no issues.
It didn't matter whether it was the depth of the ocean where there was no light, the coldest and hottest place, the desert where there wasn't even a drop of water or the endless space where there was no air.

A peak existence could adjust itself to any of these kinda environments while standing at the top of all there is. And to accomplish such a goal, he needed to acquire all the skills he could get.
Primordius was moving very quickly. Although the road from the ancient ruined city to the Evergreen Moutain range was rather rough, based on his stamina and speed after reaching level 10, in a single hour he easily traversed forty miles.
Meanwhile, the sky that was clear a few moments ago suddenly became dark and grim before it was shattered with a ‘crash’ as bolts of lightning lit up the world, followed by the echoing thunder.
‘It seemed like it's going to rain soon.’ He inwardly thought as he looked at the sky.
Without taking a break, he increased his speed to the max and hasten toward the Evergreen Moutain Range.
By the time he was just ten or so miles away from the mountains, the first drops of rain began to fall, followed by torrential showers which flooded the land.
Nonetheless, even though it was pouring like crazy, Primordius didn't seem the least bit affected by the rain nor did he get wet. The rain just bounced off his black obsidian scales before falling to the ground.
Unhindered by the rain, Primordius continued to rapidly forge ahead. After a bit of time, he saw a long, sinuous range of mountains, running north to south with no end in sight.
This mountain range, which virtually split the Elwood continent into two halves, was the largest and biggest mountain range in the continent and even the world, the mountain range of magic beasts and also the home of the Elven race and other humanoid creatures.
Seeing the titanic mountains just a few miles away, Primordius couldn’t help but hold his breath.
“What a huge mountain range…”
This mountain range was simply too enormous. Based on the naked eye, as far as one could tell, the mountains were limitless, and as far north and as far south as one could see, there were mountains.
This place looked like an ocean of green, filled with a majestic life force. Seeing the boundless mountains in this mountain range was like seeing the boundless water in the sea.
It stretched into infinity!
‘So this is the Evergreen Mountain Range, the largest mountain range in Elwood Continent!’
‘Just how many rare and powerful magic beasts does it hold?’ Primordius couldn’t help but salivate with greed just by thinking about it as a look of excitement shone from his eyes.
There was no better place to grind and level up than the Evergreen Mountain range. He’s been looking forward to this place ever since he knew about its existence.
Others might view this place as a vast and dangerous mountain range, but in Primordius’s eyes, it was nothing more than an all-you-can-eat buffet filled with all kinda rare and dangerous mouthwatering foods.
‘Evergreen buffet, here I come.’ With his eyes filled with ravenous greed, Primordius charged through the all-encompassing rainstorm towards the mountain range. Under the cover of the rainstorm, he quickly entered the endless mountains.
