The Evergreen Mountain range was extremely vast and boundless. The moment Primordius stepped foot inside, he felt as if he has entered a completely different world.

The average person might not be able to feel anything after entering this mountain range. However, it was different for Primordius since he could sense the endless source of life force and energy gushing out from the ground as if the entire mountain range was sitting upon a powerful and large spiritual energy vein.

At the same time, a breeze filled with archaic vicissitudes immediately assaulted him along with a wild and ferocious air.

Despite his experience, Primordius couldn't help but startle the moment he stepped inside the mountain range.

Taking a glance at the entire surroundings, this place was no different from a primitive era that was void of all human presence. It was like a primal world made solely for ferocious and wild beasts, a paradise for monsters!

One could even faintly hear the terrifying and soul-stirring roars of tigers and other powerful magic beasts in the distance.

At this moment, Primordius couldn't help but stop and took a deep breath to take in the new air here before inwardly saying.’ So, this place is gonna be my new home from now on.’

‘The feeling of returning to nature is always a splendid feeling.’ He added as he soaked in this feeling, completely intoxicated.

After immersing himself for a few seconds in this new atmosphere, Primordius began to move further into the mountain range. However, unlike before, he didn't run but moved slowly while being on high alert.

According to the information he was able to gather after devouring the brains of the humans in the ancient ruined city, the Evergreen Moutain range was divided into three layers, the outer layer, the inner layer, and the core layer.

The outer layer contained mostly low-level magic beasts ranging from Iron Rank to Silver Rank while the core layer had the most powerful magic beasts such as King Rank magic beast and above.

From the outer layer to the core layer, the deeper one ventured into the evergreen mountain range, the more powerful magic beasts one would encounter.

However, nothing was absolute. Depending on how unlucky one might be, one might even encounter a powerful King Rank magic beast strolling around the outer layer out of boredom which was why Primordius didn’t dare to let his guard down.

Primordius wasn’t just paranoid or a scaredy-cat, there were many known cases where hunters would encounter powerful Adamantine and even King Rank magic beast strolling in the outer layer of the mountain range. As such, his cautiousness was well based.

Meanwhile, as Primordius was slowly moving further into the Evergreen Mountain range, he could see ancient pines that seemed to be centuries or even millennia years old, blotting out the landscape like umbrellas, covering the entire sky.

The trees were so thickly clustered that virtually all of the rain was blocked, with just a few drops occasionally sprinkling down.

Aside from that, all sorts of various kinds of grass filled the land, and thistles and thorns were equally commonplace. Dry leaves covered the land, with each step, they crackled and popped. Ancient vines and weeds could be seen everywhere.

‘With all of these damn weeds and dense vines, even if a magic beast were just ten meters away from me, I still probably wouldn’t see it.’ Primordius grew apprehensive.

‘Forget about ten meters, even in the grass right in front of me, there could be a magical beast in wait, such as a giant poisonous snake.’ He added as he involuntarily glanced at the grassy area in front of him, which was almost half as tall as him. Such thick, tall grass really could hide a snake.

As this thought came into mind, Primordius immediately stopped his footstep. He might have been a powerful cultivator in the past but right now he was just a mere low-level monster.

As such he didn’t dare to underestimate the outer layer of the Evergreen Moutain range. Even those powerful Adamantine rank warriors and Swordmasters didn’t dare to underestimate the outer layer of the Evergreen mountain range, let alone a Bronze rank monster like himself.

‘Let’s hope it works.’ He said after taking a deep breath before calming himself and completely letting go of his body and mind to sense the nature around him with his eyes closed.

One second, two seconds, three seconds, and almost five seconds have passed and nothing has happened. However, Primordius didn’t give up as he continued trying to sense everything around him using his spiritual sense like in his previous life.

Swish!

On the tenth second, a wave of invisible spiritual energy came out of his head and billowed outwards like ripples and waves, expanding aimlessly.

At this moment, his powerful soul seemed to directly sync up with his surroundings.

The towering trees, grasses, thorns, and brambles, as well as the magic beasts within the surrounding forty meters radius all, appeared within Primordius’s mind and sight with incredible clarity, even clearer than the naked eyes.

[Ding! Congratulations, You have acquired the Skill Mind Eye, Rank: Epic]

[Mind Eye: It’s a skill that allows the user to manifest his consciousness or spirit and spread it out in an Omnidirectional area around the user, imprinting an image of everything in said range within the mind of said user, with as much familiarity as their own hearts. It allows the user to see every presence in the area and can even scan minute cracks and fissures for hidden objects as well]

‘It works.’ Inwardly thought Primordius with an exciting expression on his face. Even though he knew that there was a ninety percent chance that it was going to work, he was still very happy and surprised to see that it actually worked.

‘It seems like I can only cover an area up to forty meters radius with my current strength.’ Back in his previous life, he could have covered this entire mountain range with a breeze.’ It’s only a matter of time before I can do it again.’

‘Also, It seems like the system has changed its name and called it Mind Eye instead of spiritual sense. Ohh well, it's still the same thing.’ He added.

After acquiring the Mind Eye skill, Primordius was now more confident about himself and his chance of survival in the Evergreen Mountain Range has greatly increased as well.

Even though the Mind Eye wasn’t a powerful defensive or offensive skill, it was still extremely useful and handy.

Just now, he was able to detect three magic beasts in his surroundings. One of them was just Iron rank Green Snake coiling around ancient pine thirty meters on his left while the other were just two Iron Rank Single-Horns rabbits.

None of them were powerful to pose a threat to Primordius. However, he didn’t intend on attacking them.

He didn’t plan on fighting or eating any monster this evening. His main goal was to find a secretive and well-hiding place in the outer layer of the Evergreen mountain range to settle down and sleep at night before he started hunting.

With his thought in mind, Primordius resumed his journey within the outer layer of the Evergreen mountain range while using his Mind Eye to constantly scan his surroundings.
