Becca stood in front of Raquel, holding her shoulder, she stared at her with tenderness in her eyes. Something Becca never thought she would ever have to do, especially with someone like Raquel.

Guess it took seeing her vulnerable to know she actually had a part of her that wasn't bitchy. To know that she was still human.

Becca racked her brain, trying to come up with a way to help or at least stop Raquel from being a sacrificial lamb for her family's financial crisis.

Despite the bad blood between them, Becca couldn't just do nothing, especially when she could have. It just wasn't in her nature to leave people suffering.

" Don't worry, Raquel. I will see what I can do." Becca assured and Raquel shot her a skeptical look.

" Why would you help? Aren't I your arch nemesis?" Raquel asked skeptically, sobbing softly and Becca gave her a gentle smile that baffled her.

'Why the fuck is Becca nice to me, the person who once made her life hell?' Raquel thought.

" Yes, you are but unlike you, I don't take out my frustrations on someone else." Becca retorted, massaging her temples and Raquel pursed her lips, guilt buzzing through her but she didn't want to show it.

" I just don't want to be indebted to you."

The woman was making being nice a chore.

Becca's lips twitched, but still tried to keep a straight face.

" Okay, fine. You have two options then, either you take my help or you stay here and keep crying your eyes out like big baby. Your choice." Becca blew out a short irritable sigh, impatient while Raquel's teeth stabbed her lower lip, as though contemplating on a choice she didn't have.

It was either she swallowed her fucking pride, if she ever had any, and let Becca help her. If she didn't then she would be on her way to marry a pompous, spoiled rich brat that she didn't even like in the next three weeks. She would be used as a means of exchange for the stability of her family's company. A fucking sacrificial lamb. Not like that would be a bad thing, the pair were perfectly alike. Spoiled rich kids.

After all, birds of the same feathers flock together.

Already tired of waiting, Becca released Raquel's shoulder from her grip and dragged her feet two steps towards the door before being called back again by her.

" Becca, wait!" Raquel called out, grabbing a hold of Becca's wrist to stop her from leaving.

Becca whipped her head to Raquel's direction, her lips snarling as though her time was being wasted. Indeed her time was being wasted, Leo was still waiting in the restaurant for her to return.

" What?" Becca gaze returned to her, inching a brow. As much as Becca was acting like a rude, insensitive jerk, she really wanted to help Raquel. But Raquel was too proud to admit that she actually needed help from her old rival, the little girl she used to bully.

Raquel let out a conflicted sigh, glancing down at her hand that held on to Becca's wrist and let go.

Raquel was pitiful. Alone. All her so called besties left her, abandoned her at her time of need.

When push came to shove, when it was time for them to show that they were true friends, they left her hanging, but here in front of her was Becca, her arch nemesis in highschool, who was willing to lend a helping hand.

Why? Who the fuck was that nice? Or that stupid?

" Okay." Raquel breathed and her throat bobbed with a swallow, as though choking down her pride. She didn't have a choice at this point.

" Okay what?" Becca asked, arrogance visible on her face. As much as Becca wanted to help, Raquel definitely wasn't making generous easy. She even acted like a bitch even when she was sad and needy.

Becca knew Raquel's behavior like the back of her hand, hated her guts but never felt hostile towards her. Raquel was just a bored little girl who created misfortune in other people's lives for amusement because she lacked it in her life. Bullying others was just a way to keep her pathetic life interesting.

Becca pushed the memory of the past torture she experienced in Raquel's hands aside. If she was going to help, she would do it without any form of malice.

" I will let you help me." Raquel's jaw twitched.

Unable to hold Becca's gaze anymore, she dropped hers to stare at the floor. Her eyes darting from one tile to the other.

God, she hated feeling like this. Small. Raquel detested that feeling. Her parents always made her feel small and dependent and she hated it. She hated them for it and despised that she was feeling the same way in front of Becca, the girl she used to harass.

Becca's green eyes narrowed at her, her lips twitched up slightly into something that looked like part snarl and part smirk.

" Let me?" The intensity of Becca's stare doubled and didn't know if it was her imagination but saw Raquel tremble slightly.

" Please... Help me." Raquel stammered, biting her lips in shame and Becca's eyes softened.

" Atta, girl." Becca smiled, patting Raquel on back, as though congratulating her on being able to swallow her pride.

Raquel lifted her gaze and stared at Becca, whose eyes seemed to be shining brighter than the stars outside. She blinked. Was Becca really going help her? Even if she would, wouldn't she ask something in return?

" So what do you want in return?" Raquel cleared her throat and Becca begged God for the strength not to roll her eyes.

" What could you possibly give me that I don't already have?" Becca arched a brow, her face incredulous.

Raquel shrugged. " I don't know. Perhaps the satisfaction of seeing me helpless." Raquel responded and Becca let out a throaty chuckle.

" I'm not a sadist and I don't need to help you before I see you helpless. Remember, I already got to see that for free." Okay, perhaps living with Leo turned Becca sadistic but in her defense, Raquel had been acting like a bitch to her for years. She deserved it.

Leo sat on his chair in the restaurant waiting for Becca to return. It had been a little over ten minutes since she left and though he wasn't sure how long it took women to use the restroom, he still got restless.

He stared at her almost finished food at had gone cold before his gaze travelled to the direction Becca followed and took a deep breath.

He glanced at his wristwatch, his body becoming uneasy. Things weren't safe, the time wasn't as well. Not anymore.

After killing Lazzerro, nobody dared to start an unnecessary war against him. Absolutely no one, not even the foolish ones. Not after hearing what he did to Lazzerro's villa.

Yes, he set the rat hole place on fire and made sure the bodies of Lazzerro, his son and bodyguards come out unrecognizable.

As if that wasn't enough, he went ahead and allowed the news to spread in the mafia world, not as a rumour but as a warning. A warning to the fuckers who had balls of steel that wanted to go against the fucking king.

And though no one had the guts to start a war with him yet, it didn't mean they couldn't try something with Becca just like they did in the past.

It didn't mean enemies weren't lurking in the shadows waiting to strike.

Impatient, he sprang out of his chair. The look in his eyes was a mixture of worry and anger as he strode towards the restrooms.

Approaching the ladies' room, the door to it opened and the sight of Becca safely coming out of it calmed his nerves.

Seeing Becca stepping out, Leo increased his pace towards her but stopped on seeing a woman behind her. An oddly familiar face but still couldn't put his finger on where he met her before.

Squinting his eyes at her, it finally clicked. The memory of when he met her washed over him, along with it came a dark frown, darker than all the shades that tainted his soul.

Waiting until Becca stood an arm's length away, he took her by the wrist and pulled her behind him, as though shielding her from Raquel.

The impression he had of Raquel wasn't close to being good. The woman had the guts to make fun of his woman in front of him. She was lucky he didn't flay her alive that day, so what the fuck was she doing with Becca now?

Did she hurt Becca? Offend her? What the fuck happened back there?

Leo snarled at Raquel, narrowing death threatening glares at her and she trembled at the intensity of his stares. She blanched, like a deer caught in headlights, Leo's hostile glares was doing nothing but scaring the fuck out of her.

She recognized him, who could forget a face like his. The man she tried to snatch. The only man who ever rejected her. Even the dick she was supposed to marry didn't reject her, she was the one rejecting him.

" What were you doing with my woman?" Leo asked, his voice colder than ice and shivers raced down Raquel's spine.

Unable to speak and fighting the tears that Leo's glares were milking out of her, Raquel tilted her head slightly to one side, her eyes beseeching Becca to make him stop.

She didn't know how much longer she could fight back the tears, she didn't want to cry in front of them, not in front of him but the guy was just so damn scary when he was glaring.

Becca saw Raquel's call for help and glanced at the broody man in front of her but he didn't look back at her. He was too busy angrily glaring at Raquel.

In attempts to distort his focus, Becca interlocked her fingers with his and leaned her head on his back.

Just as expected, he averted his gaze from Raquel and stared at Becca, his eyes no longer glaring but now filled with warmth as he looked at his beloved.

The man's mood changed faster than the weather. A few seconds ago he almost made a woman cry by just sending cold vicious glare at her, now he was staring at Becca with all the love in the world.

" Did she do anything to you, my love?" Leo's voice couldn't have been any calmer. Cupping Becca's face with his hands, he stared into her eyes as if searching for the answer in them.

Becca touched his hands on her face and smiled, shaking her head. " No, we just talked. That's all."

With his hands still on her face, she faked a yawn and Pouted in the cutest way possible. " I'm tired, let's go home." She said and stared at him with puppy dog eyes that did much more than melt Leo's heart, it left Raquel dumbfounded. Her jaw fell dropped to floor, her eyes still glued to the mushy scene in front of her.

It was really hard to believe that the man who also murdered her with his eyes was now acting like a love whipped husband.

" Okay, let's go." Leo responded immediately and wrapped his arms possessively around her waist. Not bothering to toss Raquel a second glance, she didn't deserve it anyway.

Becca did turn though, she looked at Raquel who stood here frozen and gave her a warm smile. An assuring one and Raquel couldn't help smiling back.

After paying the bill, Leo walked Becca to the car, his hand on the small of her back. He opened the car door for her as he always did before getting into the driver's seat.

Glancing at Becca who was busy staring out the window, Leo started the car and drove it out the restaurant's premises.

A silence hung between them, a silence so thick, it taunted him. The next time Leo glanced at Becca, he saw her still staring at the window while drawing weird shapes on it. Same way she usually did on his chest.

He envied the window, it was taking away all her attention from him. It had her touching it when she wouldn't even look at him.

It continued like that and by the time they got home, Leo lost count of how many times he glanced at Becca, but could count how many times she looked at him. It was easy to because it was zero. She never looked at him all through the ride, not even a peek.

After Leo parked the car, Becca's hands flew to the door to open it but Leo wouldn't let her. He already anticipated her next move and locked them in before her hands could even reach for the door.

She tried opening the door but when it didn't budge, she turned to him with questioning eyes.

" What's gives?" Her eyes wide and throw her hands in the air. "Why did you lock the door?"

Oh, now she talks him. After ignoring him for twenty excruciating minutes.

" Why were you ignoring?" He asked, ignoring her first question.

" I wasn't ignoring you, I was just too tired to speak." Becca defended herself and Leo scoffed at her.

" Yeah, and apparently your eyes were also too tired to stare at anything but the fucking window." Leo said, wrapping his arm her and pulled her to straddle him, ripping out a gasp from her.

Becca hair cascaded on her face and Leo moved the silky black strands away. Their faces so close that their breaths clashed against each other.

" Yes, my eyes are tired. They need rest and I'm overworking them by staring at you." Becca said and Leo rolled his eyes at her pathetic excuse.

" We were okay before you went to the restroom and perfectly fine right after you came out." He grazed her jaw with the back of his hand. " What did that woman do to you?"

Becca let out a sigh. " She didn't do anything. And even if she did, what would you do about it?" She put her hands on his chest to create some space between them but he grabbed her hands.

" I can think of a few things." Leo chuckled, placing a kiss on both her hands and she rolled her eyes.

" Like what? Are you going to call her family in for a talk or are you going to file a restraining order against her?" Becca asked in a mocking tone and all Leo did was smile.

" Neither, actually. I prefer a more impactful method." He brought her fingers to his lips again and kissed her knuckles.

The methods Becca mentioned were way to measly for him. Leo had more crude ways of teaching people lessons. Ways that involved less talk and more blood.

Becca didn't know why but she shivered on hearing Leo's response. Again, it wasn't his words, but the way he said it.

" What do you mean by that?" Becca asked, another unknown shiver coursing through her.

" That's for me to know, my love. And for that woman to find out, that is if she indeed hurt you." Leo's eyes shone with an unknown glint as his lips stretched into a wolfish smile, making him look scarier than how he did while glaring.

Something about his words reminded Becca about her stepmother, at least when she wanted to make someone who offended her disappear.

'Fuck! No, he wouldn't.' Becca said to herself, blinking at Leo.

" But Raquel didn't do anything to hurt me." Becca trembled slightly in his arms and Leo brought his face close to her neck, inhaling her scent.

" Good, but it doesn't change the fact that you deliberately ignored me." His breath and beard tickled her, making all the hair on her neck stand. " You have been a really bad girl, Becca." He drawled and Becca squeezed her eyes shut, feelings his hands wandering around her body.

" Leo..." She started but trailed off when he started placing kisses on her neck down to her collarbone.

" Leo what?" Leo asked, enjoying his sweet torture on her like the sadist he was.

" What are you doing?" Becca asked, her mind turning hazy.

" You have been such a bad girl, I should punish you for it." He drawled and Becca didn't quite register his words or why he was leaning her closer to him until a swat landed on her ass cheek.

She gasped, her heartbeat rocketing as her hands instantly flew to feel where he just spanked but he caught them, preventing her from doing so.

Another gasp escaped her lips as the second swat landed on the other ass cheeks. She struggled to free her hands but he held them firmly with one hand and sent the third swat with his other hand.

After four hard spanks, Becca's ass hurt and probably red but not as red as her face was. She didn't even need a mirror to know how crimson her face was.

She stared at Leo, breathless and he released her hands and rested her head on his chest.

" Punishing your woman just because she ignored you. You're such a baby, Leo." Becca muttered breathless, still resting her head on his chest. Listening to the soothing sound of his heartbeat.

Leo's hands moved to her ass, soothing the area he spanked.

" I should put one in you." He muttered absent mindedly but paused when the words left his lips. His brain now cooking up something diabolical and his hand went ahead to touch Becca's flat stomach, rubbing it slightly.

He stared down at Becca, who didn't quite catch his words, and flash her a smile. A very sinister looking one.

" What is it?" Becca asked, feeling a little disturbed by that wicked smile Leo was giving her.

" You will know in about nine months."
