Leo strode away angrily. By the time he came to his senses, he had already arrived at the dining hall. He stood there for a moment, speechless, before saying to himself, "Well, since I'm already here anyway."
That sentence gave him a reason. When he made his way to the door of the kitchen, he found it already cleaned up.
"Where did the soup go?" he asked, a little annoyed.
A robot swiftly opened the warming cabinet and removed from it a pot of soup.
"This method of cooking is incorrect and primitive," the system told him. "This soup has been cooked for too long, causing the contents to deteriorate and the protein to denature. It's nutritional value is very low. It is not recommended for eating."
But that was how Han Yanyan made soup. Yes, Leo knew that for a fact.
While in Yao Chen's world, she would simmer her soup all day long, from morning to night, waiting for Yao Chen to drink it when he came home. When Yao Chen would praise its taste and ask how long she had been cooking it, she would tell him, pleased and proud. It seemed as though, in her understanding, the longer the time the soup cooked, the better it would be.
Leo knew very clearly that the system had to be right, but thinking that this was the soup that Yao Chen had praised extravagantly, he still ordered, "Pour me a bowl."
Holding the still-warm soup in his hand, Leo took a careful sip.
Whether meat or bone or spices, after having simmered for so long, all the flavors of the ingredient had blended together into the soup. For a brief moment, his taste buds bloomed.
It really was delicious.
No wonder Yao Chen liked it every single time.
Leo finished the entire bowl, hesitated, and asked for another.
When the door of the kitchen opened, he caught a glimpse of the floor inside, now completely clean. He was still lost in thought when the second bowl of soup was placed on the table.
Before Han Yanyan had awoken, he had already watched a replay of the surveillance video.
After he had made a fool of himself and run away in shame, Han Yanyan had leaned over the table, laughing until she shook. Afterward, she had finished her meal happily and when she had been almost done eating, she had said to herself, "That was a bit greasy. I should make a salad."
She had walked into the kitchen, found a knife, and began cutting fruit. Then suddenly, she had paused.
She had considered the knife for about five or six seconds, and then without hesitation, pointed the blade at herself and inserted the tip between the collar and her skin...
That was it. Completely on the spur of the moment.
Why had she...
Leo finished his second helping of soup, put down the bowl, and gave an order. "Search through the library of her consciousness. What is a 'dog'?"
The search was completed instantaneously. Holographic screens lit up before him, displaying what Han Yanyan knew of 'dogs'.
A dog, a pet kept by a human. No matter the breed or size, all of them wore a collar around their neck.
So did Han Yanyan.
Leo was silent.
Both sides of the door to Han Yanyan's room slid open.

On this spaceship, Leo was the master, the administrator of the highest authority. There was no door in it that could be 'closed' or 'locked' to him. No matter who was inside, he could open any door.
Han Yanyan opened her eyes, looked at the ceiling, and said a little helplessly, "Can't you knock before entering a lady's room?"
Leo's footsteps paused. Then he walked quickly toward the bed.
She raised her head and glanced at him, only to find his face gloomy and a silver-white thing that looked like a handgun in his hand. Han Yanyan frowned. "What are you trying to do?" she asked.
Leo snorted, sitting on the bed. She was still too weak to resist as he turned her over, pressed her down, unzipped the back of her dress, and gave her a shot.
Han Yanyan felt pain like that of an injection or blood draw. Gritting her teeth, she asked, "What did you just do to me?"
As soon as she said that, the weight around her neck suddenly loosened. Leo removed the once skin-tight collar and threw it on the ground, where a cleaning robot immediately appeared to dispose of it.
Han Yanyan touched her neck and looked at him in surprise. "Why are you being so good to me all of a sudden?"
Leo snorted again. "I just injected you with a subcutaneous sustained-release capsule to replace this."
"If you had something like that, why did you even collar me in the first place?!" Han Yanyan demanded angrily.
"Because the collar lasts... longer... and the capsule... lasts... lasts......" Leo's face changed. He was turning redder and redder, and his speech was getting slower and slower, but his eyes were locked onto Han Yanyan.
She looked down to see that when she had propped herself up in anger, the neckline of her dress had slipped down, leaving her exposed.
Her body had been genetically optimized to achieve its golden ratio. With full breasts, a slim waist, shapely hips and long legs, she had what was commonly known as the figure of a seductress. The visual arousal she stirred in men was so strong that Leo's uncontrollable biological reaction could be clearly seen.
Han Yanyan sneered, slowly braced herself on one arm, and pulled up the bodice of her dress to hide the gorgeous scenery below.
"If what you want is a roll in the hay, I advise you wait." She smiled disdainfully. "I'm too weak today for you to have much fun."
She was looking down on him! Leo blushed and retorted, "Who, who would want to sleep with you..."
Han Yanyan raised her gaze to him, her eyes flat and a sardonic smile curving her lips. The second half of Leo's blustering wouldn't come out of his mouth.
They were both quite clear - Leo wanted to have sex with her. It was too much!
Leo ran away in shame. This was his second time today.
Han Yanyan watched his awkward retreat with interest, touching a hand to her neck.
Now her dog collar was gone. When would he take off his invisible armor?
"System," she called.
"How can I help you?" the AI appeared.
"How does Leo Parker usually meet his bodily needs?" she asked with a smile.
