Han Yanyan was cooking. She had changed into a pretty new dress and coiled her hair up, revealing her lovely neck.

The anti-gravity oxygen-rich water bath said to be extremely stress-relieving had truly lived up to its reputation. Her skin looked as if she had just had a facial, and she seemed to be in a good mood, as she was humming a little tune as she fried vegetables.

Leo stood outside the kitchen entrance, trying to control his smile.

He was, of course, standing outside the door. So long as there was a door between them, even if Han Yanyan wanted to take a knife to him, the system wouldn't let her.

He was quite proud of his constant sobriety and vigilance.

When Han Yanyan turned around to see the young man with a silly smile standing outside the door, she was rendered speechless for a moment.

"You came so early. I was going to call you later," she said.

"I'm starving," the young man replied haughtily, his attitude cold. "Why isn't the food ready yet?"

The corner of Han Yanyan's mouth twitched involuntarily in amusement to see him saying disdainful words with such a silly smile on his face. She held herself back. "It'll be done soon. You wait over there."

Leo got lost to the dining table. He sat there facing the kitchen, the door still open. Seeing her busying herself in the kitchen, he felt foolishly happy.

It was a kind of happiness even stronger than the happiness that he felt whenever he completed his research. It was so strange.

It could be said that this was the most enjoyable meal the two of them had had ever since Han Yanyan had woken up from the hibernation pod.

Leo could feel that since Han Yanyan admitted that "you are a genius", her attitude towards him had changed. He was inexplicably joyful at that, and greedily hoped for even more.

Unfortunately for him, just then Han Yanyan suddenly asked a question.

"Do you get up late every day?"

"My sleep schedule has been out of whack for decades," Leo replied.

"You've mentioned 20-hour and 30-hour time systems before," she mused. "Which time zones are they from?"

"The 20-hour system is from my homeworld," he answered, "And the 30-hour system is from the planet Langni where I went to college at. The 24-hour system you asked for is universal in the Renia system."

"Do you not eat breakfast every day because you can't wake up on time?" she said, an odd look in her eyes.

"I go to bed very late every day, several hours later than you, and I get up late, too. I can't adjust in just a short time," Leo said, frustrated. He did actually want to have breakfast with her.

Han Yanyan looked at him with a strange gaze.

Leo felt like something was off. "What's wrong?"

"My hometown is technologically backward and hasn't yet left the star system," she said hesitantly, "But I don't understand. We're out here in space, and there's just the two of us, so why do we have to keep to any time system at all? Let's just shift the clock back a few hours. Tomorrow I'll sleep in and get up a bit later, and then we'll be on the same time, won't we?"

The air suddenly became quiet.

Leo Parker, who had an IQ high enough to disdain a third of the known universe, felt pain in his faceas if he had been slapped for the first time.

Looking up at the stars means you sometimes trip over the little stones at your feet. This happens all the time, he told himself silently. Then he put on a cold, aloof attitude and said lightly, "I was too lazy to bother with it, but since you've asked, we can adjust the time tonight."

And after Han Yanyan slept in, their sleep schedules would finally match! He could finally have breakfast with her!

Early in the morning, he specifically replaced the flowers that had been in the vase yesterday with fresh flowers newly grown with Eugen light. The mess hall was filled with a faint fragrance.

Sure enough, Han Yanyan took a deep breath as soon as she came in. She seemed to like it.

"Good morning!" She walked lithely over to greet him. "How does porridge sound? I'll go make some."

Leo had sat down at the dining table some time ago, a few holographic screens open before him full of complex data that Han Yanyan didn't understand. Research was different from experimentation - only a chair and a screen was required to do it. It didn't require a lab.

Of course, before Han Yanyan had arrived, Leo hadn't been able to be calm enough to do any calculating. It was all just pretend.

"Sure." He stared at the screen, affecting casualness. "Whatever you decide."

Breakfast was light; porridge and side dishes. The atmosphere was relaxed and congenial.

Leo truly believed that Han Yanyan's attitude toward him had changed ever since she realized that he was a genius. She no longer seemed to hate him so bitterly or lash out at him sarcastically, and they began getting along much better.

"Are you still busy?" Han Yanyan asked the young man 'buried' in his screen.

Apparently absorbed in his work, he only made a faint grunt of assent.

"Then I'll leave you to it," she said, getting up to leave.

The young man finally condescended to spare her a glance. "Where are you headed?"

"I'm tired of watching TV, so I'm going to take a stroll around the ship." Saying so, she left almost hastily.

What did she mean, 'take a stroll'? Wasn't this just her taking the opportunity to familiarize herself with the spaceship and see if there was anything she could use? Leo bared his teeth in a sneer. But he wasn't too worried. No matter how much Han Yanyan struggled, she would never be able to escape his control.

Soon the alarm sounded.

"Han Yanyan has entered a restricted area."

"Han Yanyan wishes to enter the conversion room."

"Han Yanyan has kicked the hatch of the conversion room with her foot."

The owner of the ship massaged his temples and called up the surveillance screen to check. He watched Han Yanyan kicking the door in a huff when barred entry.

It was rather amusing.

Leo smiled helplessly and said, "Give her permission to enter."

So upon her next kick, the door opened.

The relationship between Han Yanyan and Leo had changed.

She painstakingly prepared all his meals, and the two of them ate together. They no longer mocked or sniped at each other, but simply chatted, mostly her asking questions and Leo teaching her common sense.

She never gave up the thought of escape. 'Strolling' around the spaceship, she pushed the boundaries of the 'restricted area' outward little by little.

Leo didn't give her full access all at once. In actual fact, however, there was nothing in his opinion that she couldn't have access to aside from the bridge and the armoury.

No matter how she struggled, she would never be able to escape his control on this ship.

Instead, he enjoyed every time she triggered the alarm. He would smile and sigh, and then say helplessly, "Give her access," his words full of amusement and indulgence.

Until a few days later, when Han Yanyan arrived at a door.

"Is this it?" she asked with a smile.

"...Yes." The system replied.

Han Yanyan triggered the alarm. Leo was now used to this. He smiled indulgently, not even lifting his head, and said immediately, "Give her access."

Anyway, there was nothing in most of the cabins that could help her. She would leave disappointed and quickly trigger the next alarm.

But this time, the silence lasted a little longer.

When Leo finally noticed, he raised his head from his experiments and asked casually, "Where is she?"

The system answered honestly, "Your bedroom."

There was silence for a moment, and then Leo fell off his chair.

By the time he ran over at top speed, it was too late.

The cabin door opened for him as he dashed in. There were four women standing in the room.

One woman said lightly: "Are you back?" This was Han Yanyan from the apocalypse.

Another woman, her air extraordinary, said: "Oh, you're back." That was Han Yanyan, eldest daughter of a wealthy family.

Yet another, lovely and gentle, added: "Back already? Are you tired?" This was the married form of schoolgirl Han Yanyan.

The last woman said nothing. She had her arms folded and her back turned as she stood admiring the massive screen in which Leo lay pistoning on the big bed, different Han Yanyans in his arms. Sounds of "unnngh" and "ahhhhh" filled the bedroom.

This one was the real Han Yanyan.

Your uncle would always be your uncle, and your aunt would always be your aunt.

Han Yanyan had been gentle and considerate only for a few days, and he had forgotten who she was.

But she was still Han Yanyan.

When she had finally admired enough, she turned around and smiled at Leo, who had been standing there stiffly for a good long time. "The blow up dolls you can get here really are something."
