Leo was rendered speechless for a moment. He hesitated before saying, "They're all dead. To them, it's just like a dream. What do you care about them? Besides, don't think that just because they look halfway decent in the simulation that they also do in real life. That's all just your own aesthetics. Why, Duke Kline..."
Without even a hint of conscience, Leo began spouting nonsense. "Let me tell you, Duke Kline is a fatass middle-aged man. He's got a waist thi--s thick and a belly thi--s big." He gestured with his arms as if holding a huge jar, and then mimicking a pregnant woman at full-term holding her belly in satisfaction.
"Indeed, even I look different in real life. I guess so must they," Han Yanyan said as though to herself. Then she looked up at Leo. "It's you I wasn't expecting."
"Cough..." Resting his elbow on the window frame, Leo leaned against the wall. "Surprised? What did you think I looked like?"
"I thought you would be a wretched, stooped, rickety old man with glasses," Han Yanyan purred, taking a step closer to him.
"You only see gl-glasses in history museums these days. They're ob-obsolete." Leo's heart was beating rather fast.
"Anyway, you should have known from the sound of my voice that I wasn't an old man. I'm still young, under a hundred years old!" He smoothed his bangs. They were a little too long and somewhat obscured his sight.
Time for a haircut, he thought. At this length, it made him look a little mentally unwell.
"And I didn't expect you to be so tall." Han Yanyan tilted her head up slightly to look at him.
She seemed a little too close.
"Aha," Leo forced a laugh. "Our genetic levels are generally quite high. The genes where you're from are way too primitive. That's why you're all dwarves."
Han Yanyan shifted forward another half step. "You're not bad to look at, either. I really was quite surprised. It’s completely unlike what I expected.”
She was too close! Leo could even smell the alluring aroma of the soap she had used. No, wait, the soap she used was obviously the same as the soap he used, so why did it smell completely different coming off of her body? This was so weird!
"Be-because of g-good genes," Leo stuttered. What he wouldn't tell Han Yanyan, of course, was that he had given himself two gene treatments to achieve his current height and appearance.
Han Yanyan leaned forward, nestling up against Leo, and murmured, "If you have such good genes, then why can't you be a little nicer to me?"
Wait! Did having good genes have anything to do with being nice to her?? Even with Leo's high IQ, he couldn't figure out the logic within.
It probably because he was having trouble breathing. When the human brain was deprived of oxygen, it didn't work right! But, but Han Yanyan was so close to him right now, her body glued onto him, and he couldn't so much as draw breath!
The way he was so frightened he didn't even dare to move was truly hilarious.
Standing on tiptoe, she breathed into his ear, "Can't you be just a tiny... bit... nicer?"
Her voice was light and pliant, with a hint of a woman's resentment, a voice that made a man's heart soften involuntarily. Hot air rushed into his ear from her words.
Leo felt a rush of heat spread all over his body. His heart was pounding, so crazily that it felt like it was about to leap out of his chest!

Ahh! It was unbearable!
He couldn't take it anymore! Leo clenched his teeth, squeezed his eyes shut, breathed in to calm himself and bellowed, "Han Yanyan! Quit trying to seduce me!"
Then his eyes shot open and he glared fiercely at her!
The look on Han Yanyan's face of mingled distress and resentmentSpecifically the resentment of a woman thwarted in love, the resentment spiced with a little hope, and within the hope a little seduction, disappeared like salt flung into water.
Rubbing her smarting ears, she slowly straightened up and distanced herself from Leo.
"All right then, I won't embarrass myself," she said slowly. "Anyway, it's disgusting."
Leo: "..."
Who was the one just now who had praised him left and right for being tall and handsome!?! This fucking woman!
"Do you have a swimming pool?" Han Yanyan asked curtly. "I've been lying around for two weeks, I should exercise."
Leo snorted and gave the system instructions.
"You're changing the water?" she asked, speechless.
"Nonsense, I haven't used it in years." Leo glared crossly at her. "Follow the green light."
"Thanks." Han Yanyan turned and prepared to leave.
All of a sudden, the electronic voice of the AI sounded overhead. "Han Yanyan, please leave behind the lethal weapon hidden in your clothes."
I'm most afraid of the sudden silence in the air. These are song lyrics.
Leo watched in disbelief as Han Yanyan slowly dipped her hand into her collar and drew a knife out from between her breasts - the same knife she had used to cut her steak. He turned to look at the dining table. Her napkin seemed to have been placed casually, coincidentally covering her plate and cutlery. Once they left, the robot would have cleared the table, and it wouldn't have reported the loss of a knife to him.
In this manner, she had acquired a knife without anyone noticingidiom: without the gods knowing or the ghosts realizing! A knife capable of killing someone!
If he hadn't pre-programmed the system to be constantly monitoring and scanning her for weapons such as guns and knives...!
This goddamned woman!!!
Would it kill you to make a man feel more at ease?!?
