Leo woke.
He was using a deep compression sleeping cabin, but he still hadn't slept well. As soon as he woke up, he could feel his eyelids twitching.
He thought of Han Yanyan and cursed. He wasn't sure why, but he always felt like this damn woman would continue to trouble him in the future. While enjoying his automated shower, he asked vaguely, "What happened to that Han Yanyan? Is she behaving herself?"
The AI replied, "She is being very quiet."
Just as Leo was about to relax, he heard it say, "She is still in the simulated world."
Spitting out his mouthwash, Leo said, "What? Still there? How long did I sleep?"
"Five hours. Because you were in deep compressed sleep, it is equivalent to 1.5 times of normal sleep. Therefore, you had 7.5 hours of sleep," answered his AI.
"I don't care about that nonsense. Why is she still in the world? Five hours is enough time for her to solve it." Leo dressed hastily and hurried to the operation room. "Did you forget to adjust time to double the speed? Is it running slow?"
Yao's people worked in shifts, some guarding his body and some guarding the operation room in case this crazy, unreputable scientist did anything. Leo was very unhappy about it, but the other side had guns in hand, so he could only admit cowardice, submit to humiliation, and let them reverse the positions of guest and host on his own ship.
He hurried into the operation room, got into the cabin, and pulled up the data to check. "What the hell?" Except for a short initial contact, Han Yanyan's behavior trajectory and that of the mission target, were basically drawing two parallel lines.
Leo checked the time record and was so angry steam almost rose from his head!
In this world, Han Yanyan had opened a super-fast time stream without ever dealing with the mission target at all! It had been over 20 years in that world! What the hell was she doing?!!
This damned woman!!!
When he rechecked the mission target again, he saw that under Han Yanyan's arrangement, they were currently living a stable life, working hard to become an outstanding, but ordinary person. It was nowhere even close to the ups and downs of his life, and completely ineffectual. The deceased's spiritual source showed no signs of awakening!
He was so pissed!
If this was what the world had developed into, then there was no need for it to exist. He disconnected it straight away.
Han Yanyan, who by then was Matriarch, suddenly returned to the pure white space and knew that Leo had finally awoken.
She had been in that world for over twenty years, and had forgotten what Leo's voice sounded like. But when his roar sounded within that space, it came back to her memory.
"Han Yanyan, you fucking woman! What the hell are you doing?!" he howled.
She smiled. "I thought that since you had gone to bed, I should get to have a nice restful time too, enjoy life a little."
"How dare you fucking slack off?!" Leo demanded, furious.
"Even the people who labour in black factories have the right to catch their breath every once in awhile," she replied defiantly. "Since you went to bed, I should get a rest too."
Calming down, Leo sneered, "Did you think that I wouldn't be able to do anything to you? Alright then. I had originally thought that you were doing pretty well; I didn't want to do this."

An electrical current surged through her body. Han Yanyan collapsed in pain. Her fingers trembled, and not a sound came out of her throat.
"That'll teach you a little lesson," Leo said. "Now, I'm going to restart the world. Do your fucking job!"
She had successfully diverted his attention from the last world. Han Yanyan wanted to smile. But she had come into contact with many technologies that hadn't existed in her world in the last one, and she understood that this pure white virtual space wasn't somewhere in which she could hide her expression by lowering her head. So she held back, let her body's pain show on her face, and said nothing to Leo as if she had given in.
Leo was very satisfied to see the damned woman admit defeat. His hands flying over the console, he told her, "I'm restarting you, and I've accelerated your time flow. Finish quickly."
When he finished speaking, the scenery shifted before her eyes. When she opened them again, she was back to that big, soft bed in that pink princess room over 20 years ago, with thin arms and a flat chest.
She sat up and looked around. Later, as she had grown older, the room had been remodeled. It felt a little nostalgic.
She knew that Tang Ke and Xinya would soon be arriving in a taxi.
But it didn't matter. Tang Ke was a client, Leo's client, not hers.
Han Yanyan had returned to this world as a 12-year-old girl whose innate spirit was currently only at A-level. She couldn't wait to try something out.
In the last time around, she had studied every spirit-related theory assiduously. The most mainstream theory held that spiritual power had always existed in one's source, and that it was released in stages corresponding to the maturity of one's body. Those so-called daily training and cultivations were only to allow one to channel it out artificially.
Grabbing her soft silk mattress with both hands, she took a deep breath.
In the last 20 years, she had focused only on two things, spirit and mecha. By the time Leo had disconnected the world, she had already been an SS-class. The feeling of using her spirit had been deeply engraved into her memory, and she had brought this memory over to this round.
Now, she wanted to give it a try.
The humble hovertaxi drove into the gate of the manor. Tang Ke was stunned by its vastness and magnificence.
"Is this it, mom?" he asked nervously.
Xinya stroked his head and said softly, "Be polite when you meet your cousin later."
Tang Ke nodded.
Because they had made an appointment in advance, there was already a footman waiting for them outside the main building when they got off the taxi. Although the footman was polite, he wasn't warm. He had obviously seen many a relative who had fallen on hard times and was here to beg for work.
Although Tang Ke was young, he could feel the hidden judgment. But awed by this magnificent palace, he couldn't help but look up.
Right then, his A-class spirit suddenly sensed danger! Instinctively, he unfolded his spiritual shield to cover himself and his mother. But he was young and inexperienced, and the footman was a little too far away.
At that very same moment came a deafening noise above. The room overhead exploded. Glass, steel, cement and stone were crushed into rubble and came blasting outward!
