The footman was hit by the shock wave and crashed into the courtyard's flower bed. Pieces of sharp, broken cement plunged into his body. It was unknown if he had lived or died.

Xinya had held her son tight at the moment of explosion. When it passed, she slowly opened her eyes to find that her son's spiritual barrier had protected them. He had only just experienced his first spiritual outbreak, and she was afraid that he might not have been able to endure the stress of creating such a barrier not long after.

"Xiao Ke! Xiao Ke!" she called to him. "Are you alright?"

Tang Ke put away his mental barrier, feeling like his head was about to explode. Unable to speak, he could only feebly nod his head, his face white as paper.

The explosion alarmed the people in the manor. Servants and bodyguards came running, and a few people donned their flying mecha to soar toward the explosion.

"It's the Miss's room!"

"Worse, Miss hasn't gotten up yet! She's still inside!"

"Hurry up, we have to save her!"

"Don't panic, Miss has an A-class spirit, she'll be fine!"

"You over there, move this piece of cement, quickly!"

"There are two people over here!"

The scene was only chaotic for a moment before the rescue and cleaning began in an orderly manner. Xinya hurriedly pulled Tang Ke back a little ways so as not to interfere.

Just then, a man's voice came from the collapsed room. "Everyone stand back--"

The voice was calm and imposing. As soon as the order came out, the people around the scene retreated immediately without hesitation and erected a spiritual barrier.

"That's your uncle," Xinya whispered to Tang Ke. Although they hadn't met in years, she could still recognize her cousin's voice.

This Han family uncle was an S-class, Tang Ke knew. But he was surprised, because he could clearly feel two completely different powerful spirits coming from that location.

Just then, they heard another crash coming from the wreckage. Mud and stone flew. Fortunately, someone had erected a barrier in front of the mother and son, blocking the flying debris.

Through the smoke came the figure of a man holding a girl in a white gauze nightgown,. He leapt from the gap that had just been blown open and landed firmly on the ground, his knees slightly bent.

Because he had A-class spiritual power, Tang Ke's eyesight was better than average. When the man landed, the white gauze skirt billowing about him, he saw very clearly the girl in the man's arms open her eyes and look at him.

Her eyes skimmed across the crowd and landed straight on him... for just a second. Then she closed her eyes, leaning her head on the man's chest.

The girl's face was as white as her dress. Paleness and bloodlessness, just like Tang Ke had been just now, was a sign of mental overdraft. Leaning in a man's arms, her eyes closed, her features were as exquisite as a porcelain doll about to be broken. It made one not dare breathe too heavily.

How could such a beautiful little sister exist? Was she an angel? Tang Ke thought dully.

People rushed up in a crowd, blocking his view.

He heard the man in the center of the crowd say, "Prepare a treatment cabin and nutrient solution, now!"

He was much closer at this moment, and not suppressing his aura. That powerful spirit woke Tang Ke from the shock of the girl's beauty. He was horrified and surprised. W-was this what they called the might of S-class? It made one retreat in spite of oneself.

Hugging his daughter, Patriarch Han made his way into the main building, followed by a good many people. The rest stayed and whispered.

"Do you feel like Miss seems to have gone up a class?"

"Impossible, Miss is only twelve. She shouldn't have hit puberty yet."

"I feel it too, at least S-class."

Yes, it was S-class. Tang Ke knew. He had clearly felt that although compared to Patriarch Han the other spiritual power was still a little flimsy, it wasn't weak at all. It was definitely S-class.

Just as he was thinking this, Xinya squeezed his hand and said hesitantly, "Why don't we... go back first?"

The present situation was too chaotic to ask for a meeting. Her cousin surely had no spare energy to take care of her affairs at the moment.

Xinya found a footman and explained the situation to him. The scene was still messy and everyone was busy, so when the footman agreed without thinking and without much respect, Xinya wasn't sure if it would be passed on properly. She sighed, lingered for a while, and then left.

Han Yanyan lay in the treatment cabin for a day. By the time she came out, it was already night. Her father had sat by her side the whole time, never leaving.

Rousing, she asked him, "Did you test my spirit?"

"Yes." Her father didn't seem entirely satisfied. "S-class."

No one could have thought that Han Yanyan would erupt for the second time before puberty. It had never happened before. S-class was already strong; he and his wife were both S-class, so he had already expected Han Yanyan to be an S.

Last time around, Han Yanyan had lived with him for 20 years, and she was very familiar with him. "It doesn't matter," she said to him carelessly, "There will be another outbreak when I hit puberty."

Patriarch Han did not refute her, only instructing, "Go take a shower."

Even though she was wearing the clothes that had been brought to her, Han Yanyan was sticky with nutrient solution. As soon as she turned, she saw his frown and and suddenly realized that he thought this was her second outbreak. He was worried that she wouldn't do so again at puberty, but hadn't said anything in consideration of her mood.

This father had put great pressure on her in her later years, like a hammer molding iron, forging her into a qualified Matriarch. She had forgotten how, when she was young, he had had such warmth.

Brushing aside her damp hair, she told him, "Don't worry."

He nodded to reassure her, and watched her leave.

Folding his arms, he frowned. Although he didn't know why, she had undoubtedly erupted today. Would it happen again at puberty?

When he returned to the hall, his followers waiting there asked for instructions. "Miss's spiritual power has been upgraded to S-class. Should this be announced to the public?"

Patriarch Han pondered a little before nodding. "Ready a celebration banquet."

If she didn't erupt at puberty, she would be the youngest S-class in the family. If she did, she was already an S-class and could only get better from there. This was a situation in which they could advance or retreat. No matter what, her position as heir had been cemented.
