Chapter 22: The Conversation with Gods

It took all day but, I managed to find some herbs and leaves that might help with Sasaki's recovery, with the help of Ryong.

I hid behind one of those trees, creating fire and attending to Sasaki's wound.

Occasionally I also had to keep a look out, since there were roaming monsters such as the blood shot spiders and some minor goblin looking thing.

Once again with the Combo-Maker, I beat all of them and went back to rest. According to Blue, apparently killing stuff here gives some sort of Experience Point.

Then again, when I question Ryong what was happening, he said that it's out of his control and there's nothing he can do about it currently.

As the fire starts cracking, just as I was about to take a seat and rest, she woke up.

Keeping myself on my feet. I readied myself fearing she might strike.

She lowers her body with her hand touching the hilt of the sword. Then suddenly went to a 90 degree bowing position.

"Sorry. For the trouble caused and thank you."

I got stunned. Without saying anything, I simply just nod my head.

After that we would just sit down and suddenly I heard someone's stomach growling.

I turned to see her face blushing Bertroot red as I offered her some food I hunter earlier on.

"Sorry senior, I couldn't recognized you and attack you earlier on. That Staff you were holding on earlier is one of Ame-no-Uzume-sama's weapon given to her champion. I mistook you as someone one of our opponent and attacked you, with that I'm truly sorry."

That got me stunned. The weapon I been using it around swimming was that of one of the God's one?

Uh oh, wouldn't that mean.

Those words sent shivers down my spine.

Baffled by the sudden turns of event, I tried to retort but Ryong was already one step ahead.

[Should there not be a contract or something in return.]

[*You must be the beast of the mask. Nice to meet you too. Don't worry, I'm not here to steal you champion. There's no rule that you can't support more than one god anyways. By the way you must really teach me how you do this voice call thing, it's really useful for___*]

Me and Ryong both sighed in synchronisation. 

[That was exhausting.]

Effect: Boost in Health when eating rice.

As I finish the conversation in my head. I turned to Sasaki and passed her back her Katana and bowed to her as thanks.

After resting, we both made our way to the centre of the area. Seems that it all leads up to a hole on the ground.

Without hesitation Sasaki and I both jumped in without any hesitation. The hole turns out to be a well that leads to a giant lake beneath it.

As we break our drop and landed on the ground.

Checking the surroundings, we are no alone.

"Lee Jeong Hun, I need to stop you now."

The brunette hair man rushed towards the black-haired man in a Zig Zag formation, surrounding him in a circular motion.

He shall be named Thunder dude.

Thunder can be seen wrapping around the Korean man causing one not to be able to leave.

Effect: Stuns and damage anyone who touches the electric waves.

The Brunette man jumped strikes the Korean man with an Axe-kick.  

However, the Korean man blocked the kick with one of his arm and counter-attacked with a sword.

A counter-attack skills that initiates after getting hit.

Retaliates with a Cut that mimics that of Wolf with additional effect of Freeze. Upon successful hits, the status Frost Bite is applied.

Status Effect: Freeze, Frost Bite

Duration Cooldown: 30 minutes.

The Counter-attacked landed, which inflicted Frost Bite on him as well as created a field of ice around him. 

Thunder dude rolls in mid air and Kick a bolt of thunder in return.

Which missed and lands on the lake.

 

Just then, the whole lake starts to shake as something appears out from the water.
