Chapter 33: Aftermath after the Escape from Hotel

[Sasaki's POV]

As Red-dono runs out to the other room. I stayed in the left side of the hallway covering his escape while I deal with the awakeners. Couple of them were pretty wild thrashing about the entire area. I hope he manage to escaped safely.

One moment, one part of the wall exploded. Causing a massive hole on the wall. 

"RAUGHHHHH, COME OUT MASKED MAN, I WANNA FIGHT YA RAUFGHHHH!!!!!"

 

A gigantual figure appeared out from the wall.

Keeping in mind that we are at least 17 storeys high. He must have smashed through the walls one by one to reached here.

It was a Big man. He had huge stomach and you could see that the muscles of his arms were all showing through his shirt. On his arms he was wearing some sort of gauntlet. He was also holding on to a piece of chicken leg.

As the smoke clears and he saw me, he shoved the chicken leg down his throat and ask.

"Where is Masked man?"

"I don't know." I said firmly not moving from a single spot from there.

"Maybe over there." as I point to the completely different direction from where he comes from. 

Thinking he was just a dumb brute. I sit there expected him to leave when he said ok.

Before I was about leave, one of the Myobu grabbed my collar and roughly pushed me away. Something big crashed the wall that was behind me a while ago. I got up to look so see an entire safe, plunging the wall with a hole.

"I don't like being lied to."

It was the same man who was about to leave earlier on. He started bouncing through the hallway like a pinball as he flew to me in incredible speed. I draw my sword in hopes that I could cut his flesh to keep a distance but, he came in at such a fast speed, it's as if he was a wrecking ball.

After he crashed again. He stood up, walking slowly towards me.

"Come on let me have some fun, please. I'll try to keep you alive if you just show me where he is."

"Never. Over my dead body."

"Suit yourself."

As he smashes the ground with his arm to shake off my balance, he closed the gap, clenching his feast, ready to make impact. I launch a skill keeping him away from me.

With the moon shining so brightly in the dark, it enlightened a certain family with Techniques related to the Moon.

Skill Cooldown: 5 minute.

A blue energy blade appears from my sword as I attend to land a hit on him. It succeeded as it managed to cut his arm, while the man's fist is approaching at high speed.

The result was him using his entire strength to blow apart one of the hotel's wall while I barely cut his arm with a skill. With wounds from the blade starting to pour out. 

I started slashing at him with my sword while he guards it with his gauntlet and returning hits one after another.

As I desperately try to exchange blows, he manged to knock every one of my blows. Futhermore, everytime out weapon collide, I would have to keep twisting my wrist so that I could keep up with his pace. Because of this, I could last longer in a defensive state however there's a sharp decline in my power as I got knocked away further and further. It also starting to hurt my wrist.

I locked on my eyes trying not to break my concentration when suddenly, at a moment of weakness I fell for one of his feint. He grabs me by collar, lifting me up and slamming me against the ground.

That moment of weakness caused me to drop my weapon. As I reached my hand out to retrieve my weapon, the man kicked it away. It is then the pressure of being defeated here by an unknown man sink in as I stood up panicking, thinking of ways to overcome this challenge.

One of Myobu came and used one of its own skill, [Fox-Fire] to burn the man. I took the opportunity to widened the distance between him and retrieved my sword. As he was getting burned, I kept my distance far apart. He ignores the pain he was feeling and rushed towards me with crashing me on full impact in his mind.

I took a step, using [Takatobi] hoping that something would effectively on him. It succeeded as one of the cuts grazed his left eye. Because of this, he lost one of his vision and couldn't see the direction he was aiming for.

He was still running at a high speed however due to the lack of vision of what he could see, he ended up crashing to the hotel's window, plunging out of the hotel room.

I took a breather sitting down. "You owe one for this Red-dono."

I quickly ran to the direction Red-dono was heading towards. Seated right there was another huge man with a Macuahuitl on his shoulder. Tired and exhausted from that one fight, I drew my sword preparing to fight another one of it when the tanned man in a buzz-cut stopped me and said:

"Stop. I, Diego promised to keep Red safe red. Until then, no one can leave here."

Hearing that, I sighed a breath of relief and sat beside him. 

"I'm also here to protect him. Now that you're here, let me rest abi__....ZZZ." I went off to wonderland sleeping on the shoulders of a stranger.

[Male Myobu's POV]

While Sasaki fell asleep on Diego, Diego in turn started blusing bright red and panicking. He didn't know what to do except not move and disturbed the Asian Beauty sleeping on his shoulder. In a way, it was a cute side to see for these 2 people who were unlikely to meet.

As I watch these bittersweet scenes from afar with my partner knowing that our contractor is safe. A message came from the orb of my partners.

It reads:
