Mundi magicae. The world of magic. While magicis Mundi evolved in the world through the usage of science with the help of humanity, Mundi magicae thrived with the usage of magic to advance themselves. 

Different creatures evolved into magical creatures. However, how humanity came to be is no different compared to how it was from magicis Mundi. Though in the early stage, the humans were not able to harness any magic despite being surrounded by Mana.

Until one day, a human girl manages to harness Mana for herself. From then on, countless tales were spread across generations on the heroic deeds she did.

She taught humanity magic so that not only would they be able to protect themselves but also improve their quality of life.

She spread knowledge of whatever she had learned over the years and would not hesitate to lend a helping to any country or town that needed help. She was said to be kind to the point that, at times, she was gullible. 

She went across the world helping out however she could and was hailed a savior/hero. She was indeed benevolent.

From that point, she also accepted multiple students under her as she always wanted the best for her people no matter what. As the bunch of them traveled around the world with her, she developed and created more spells. With one of the most trustworthy students beside her, writing and recording all her spells under one compilation.

Ultimately, she would end up opening a school for anyone who wanted to learn how to use magic with the knowledge she had. Her ambition was at times made fun of by even her own students, which was wanting to make the world a place where humanity would feel safe and happy.

This person was dubbed: The witch of beginning.

Though humanity being humanity, through their greed, used magic for themselves. Knowledge is power, as humans called it. More people were starting to use magic, but for the wrong reason. Murder, Arson, Kidnapping, Rape, and all sorts of crimes were committed a lot more easily due to the usage of magic. And no one could identify who did it. They would ultimately blame the witch for being the one teaching the spells and chants to these people.

Some of the humans went too far and started conducting experiments on their fellow people as well, hoping to see what kind of power they could receive in exchange for human life.

The witch was devastated. All the knowledge she had for her people would wound up hurting innocent people instead. 

Thus, the witch of beginning disappeared, leaving nothing but only 2 letters for 2 of her most trustworthy disciples.

However, this was also a time when there were no laws and orders within the lands. This caused the dark ages to reign as humanity fought over lands and conquest with the help of magic.

With the final instructions given to her two disciples. They once again took arms, spreading across the lands and destroying all those who sullied their teacher's name using magic for the wicked.

In the end, the two ended up fulfilling their teacher's wishes and continued her legacy, constructing a magic tower on the ground where their teacher was most happy. In the old broken school that she made, teaching them magic. Thus the High Council of the Mage's Association is born.

Over the next few centuries, the ideal concept of magic was accepted by everyone. Anyone who was born in Mundi magicae ultimately had Mana in their body and was able to use magic. 

Magic, in the end, did make the lives of humans better. The entire humanity centered their entire lives around magic, which became a common occurrence in their life. It can be for the simplest of stuff such as farming, doing chores, switching on and off the light, hanging clothes, working in a kitchen, or even reading a book.

Magic had made people's lives easier and more convenient, and it had become a magical society. And those who devote their lives are given a title:

Mages or Magus.

Within the mages, there are ranks to classify each one of the mages on their capabilities, and they can be identified through the color of the Mage's robe.

Beginner: White

Intermediate: Yellow

Advance: Green

There were only 2 Master rank titles given, and only the 2 disciples of the Witch of Beginning received them due to their contributions to the start of the magic revolutionizing humanity.

Rules were also instigated by the creator and elder of the mage association for all mages on what is allowed and what is illegal.

For instance, spells that are deemed dangerous can only be learned, studied, or experimented on by mages with appropriate ranks. Failure to comply with the law would mean harsh punishment from the mage association.

Through the next few centuries, magic continues to prosper around the world. Until a certain mage Advance rank mage disappeared and created a new set of theories for a forbidden spell. The girl had conducted an illegal experiment on an untested theory. This led to an accident that created the phenomenon of "cracking" which was something crackling along somewhere. Nothing could be found however, it appeared that something was broken causing her to disappear along with everything about it. The girl herself was not found anywhere near the site of the incident or anywhere else in Mundi magicae.

Along with the phenomenon of "cracking", several other mages have been reported missing over the next few years causing the number to spike at an alarming rate. No one knew what happened. The only clue they could link back to was the Advanced Rank Mage's research. Something happened in her research, causing the stability of the world to collapse or broke.

Over the next few years, though the number of missing mages still seemingly spiking, one day it was reported a young boy was found in the middle of one of the cities. The authorities had no idea what to do with the boy since he was speaking a different tongue from them. With a mage that specialized in translations, it was a matter of time before they could decipher what the boy was speaking about. 

In the end, they were able to gather enough information from the point. The one being the most important. There was an entirely new world out there. What was even more shocking was that the inhabitants of that world do not have access to magic. However, this boy managed to awaken Mana in a world that did not have Mana flow as well. It meant that he would be a stronger mage that could grow at a faster rate compared to other mages. Another piece of information they got was a warning from the boy. The girl that tried to save him, ended up losing her life due to the people from the town burning her up. Though it was a regrettable moment, the true nature of some of the mages showed up, trying to take over the girl's research. 

In a distasteful way, they managed to recreate the spell she made and one of the researchers volunteered to travel forth and returned.

In a year, that researcher managed to return and the details of his report were gruesome.

With the title of his report: Witch Hunt

With the information for magicis Mundi spread across the nation, the higher-ups in the mage association issued a decree that all mages and citizens are to stay away from any of the people there if one were to be transported there. They would occasionally send a group of mages back to retrieve those who were warped into magicis Mundi by accident and retrieved them back.

Over the next few centuries passed by, information about Witch Hunts died down as the law forbids it in magicis Mundi. At the same time, the number of people awoken to Mana was spiking up increasingly as well. 

With the higher-ups thinking about it, it was time for an unorthodox change in the old ways. The door to Mundi magicae was opened for newly awakened mages. Thus, that is how the current Mundi magicae is formed to be...

"However, this is partly just a brush summary of some of the major events that formed what you would know currently," Irene explained to me.

"There are more details specified to different major events of this world but this was the general gist of it. Though how the gods getting involved and offering humanity Mana, I have no idea how to explain that on our end without needing a cup of coffee."

With my mask still on, after listening to that entire story. I stared out the window silently. Thinking about how the boy must have felt, being betrayed all those years ago. 

As I looked out the window, someone familiar came into my eyes.

Peeking from my seat, I took a look at the girl that walked past our seats and returned to her groups of friends.

"Jade..?"
