Sword dance. While it can be found everywhere in the world, it was mostly used as a performance to showcase how a weapon can be used to mix with something foreign like dancing. It's a display of elegance and skill, but true masters of a sword have their versions of Sword dancing that are typically used to kill their opponent.

Red, started the Moon-Styled Swordsmanship's sword dance and moved oddly. Though there are many different types of Swordsmanship in the world learned, they are generally categorized into 2 groups. Gentle and Aggressive.

Gentle being one that's generally calm. This type of Swordsmanship generally focuses more on technique rather than power to overwhelm opponents. In a way, they could be concluded as soft since the technique that Gentle Swordsmanship uses are generally quieter, which causes its target to have cuts, slash marks or in worse cases, decapitation.

Whereas Aggressive types of Swordsmanship are fierce and generally focus more on power and forms which in turn can make them an unstoppable force. Aggressive Swordsmanship on the other hand is the polar opposite, which is generally loud. The power behind every attack and technique would cause massive damage or impact, which meant any attack is fatal.

One example of Aggressive Swordsmanship would be the Mydarn Swordsmanship.

The Mydarn Swordsmanship has a very strong foundation built in their practitioner where they have to go through intense training to achieve the power needed to execute any of their moves.

Of course, after thousands of Swordsmanship are created everywhere in the world, the 2 categories sort of merged. People saw the advantage and disadvantages of their Swordsmanship and sort to improve it, covering their weakness or strengthening it further.

The Moon-Styled Swordsmanship, however, has kept to its roots as a Gentle-type of Swordsmanship.

As he traversed across the floor with a unique set of footwork, Edmund was not ready to take any chances. Immediately, he started casting a series set of spells to stop him at his track.

Some of the audience who faces this movement suddenly recalled bad memories from it. Why?

Because every spell that was cast ended up being destroyed, rendering it useless.

The Intermediate rank mage, Riri, was the first one to experience how scary it was when a man with a sword came swinging at her and she couldn't do anything to defend herself.

Surely it's different for a Wiseman Rank mage right? Maybe...

However, there's a reason why the sword saint, Arthur was able to keep his title this entire time.

*SHINKKTH*

"Wha__?!"

Blood starts dripping from a person's arm. The man took a peek to see that his shoulder had a slash mark. The cut wasn't deep, it was quite the opposite. The slash mark grazed his shoulder instead.

The deputy head sustained an injury for the first time in a long while. Even he was surprised.

The reason why Arthur, the sword saint was able to keep his title for a long time and had stayed undefeated for so long was because of his Swordsmanship. The Moon-Styled Swordsmanship is not effective only for swords but for magic as well. The Moon-Styled Technique had evolved over the ages through their successors so they can keep up to date with how battles are done in each era. Naturally, there would be ways to counter-attack against magic-users and for the Moon-Styled Swordsmanship, it would be: Anti-Magic.

Edmund adjusted his glasses and took a deep breath before throwing a cold look at Red.

He cracks his neck while scratching his chin to rub it against the unshaven beard he has. From his coat, he reached out a pack of cigarettes and started lighting it up with the help of magic while removing his coat.

The man had a great build and removing the coat further proves it. As he rolls up his sleeve, his forearm was so defined that veins popped from it while his bicep was muscular to the point it seemed as if it was going to break the sleeve of the shirt

Edmund proceeds to assume a close combat position and taunted Red to come at him.

"Come. Don't disappoint me." He said while blowing the smoke out of his mouth.

Red stood there and withdrew all his weapons. All that was left in his hand was a Bo Staff with Red flames markings on it

[Edmund's POV]

The outsider had a unique form of attack compared to the other awakeners I had seen previously. The way he summoned his weapons and swapped them at such terrifying speed is something to be aware of.

However, I didn't expect him to know Mana Breathing, and for him to be able to counteract my spells to the point that all my [Gravity ball] disappeared without a trace was a surprise.

The most dangerous part of them all is that sword dance. Few people I know struggled to even proceed with the steps but he could achieve it with no issues screams danger. But to be able to cut through spells like butter. That's a first.

However, my pride as a 9th Magic Circle Mage won't be tarnished by an outsider. Immediately knowing the dangers of my opponent, I started evoking and chanting.

[Gravity Well]

AOE Damage

Summons a projectile which pulls the target towards the caster. At the same, draining Mana from the opponent. The more Mana the target has, the larger the radius of the spell increases.

Magic Requirement: 7th Magic Circle

Mana Consumption: High

When releasing [Gravity Well], the outsider got caught it in, trying to escape but it was hopeless, the projectile started increasing larger and larger, slowing his movement down.

From there, I strike.

Dashing towards him, I avoided the [Gravity Well] and with Mana infused in my fist, smashed in the direction of the outsider's face. However, he managed to redirect my fist with his staff and slammed it towards the ground, smashing the entire training ground floor.

At the same time, this also causes my attack to land on the [Gravity Well].

"!"

My spell managed to absorb all the mana from my fist and grew so large to the point that the entire ground was covered in black. The [Gravity Well] continued to drain my Mana even after it absorbed all the mana from my fist.

Did he predict this? Did he know that only I can stop the spell myself?

Without much thought, I raised my wand conjuring a barrage of Gravity balls, ready to fling it at the outsider.

"Let's see if this works."

With a wave of my wand downwards, the Gravity balls reign down towards the outsider, while I moved in closer for close combat. The outsider however was proficient with his weapon. Somehow he was able to block off the Gravity while fighting me one on one at the same time. It was as if he had 2 pairs of eyes helping him.

But that was it, he couldn't predict another attack. Just as he blocked my fist again.

*Stabbed*

Looks like he fell for my trap.
