“Well you certainly are now in a bad situation ain’t ya Lixin.” Said the woman as she let go of me.

As I fell to the floor gasping for air and choking everything began to make sense. I hadn’t noticed that even my voice sounded different until just right now. I was taller for one and could feel bulging muscles that I never had. Even my hair was different. Upon touching it I could feel it was longer than my shorter cut hair and even felt smoother. With a puddle near me I could fully see the man I was…and oh boy was I handsome.

A chiseled jaw, white teeth, and a gorgeous smile accompanied by white skin.

At least I didn’t transmigrate into the body of someone who looked ugly.

“So Lixin, what’s your plan now? You are now in the body of the most hated man in the mortal realm. What say you now?” The woman said placing her bum on a giant rock on the floor.

“Most hated man? What in the heavens did this man to be this hated?” I asked knowing full well that it’d be something awful.

“Well, for starters he burned down multiple gods and goddesses’ small realms such as mine. The once great forest palace now just turned to complete ash. And even more than that, your former host was the great black demon, the man solely responsible for the invasions and massacred of multiple kingdoms…Zhiyuan is far beyond a good person.” Said the woman flicking her finger making a small rose grow from the floor.

“But what do I even do now? Do I just have to be hunted for the rest of my life? What about my other body? Don't tell me he’s in it?” I said getting up from the ground in a quick hurry right before grabbing the mask she ripped off me.

“Well, I don’t know what you’re going to do nor do I care what happens to you. But I will leave you with this bit of knowledge stranger. The only way you could ever redeem your previous host's actions is quite simple. Tear down everything he built and become the helping hand this world needs. That is all, now leave before I actually kill you.” The woman said as she got up from the rock she was on.

“Wait? What is your name?” I said as I grabbed the carriage handles to get out of the forest.

“My name stranger? It’s Xiu Chén, former empress of the mortal forest realm. Now leave.” She said with a bit of anger in her voice.

“Yes ma’am,” I said as I began pulling the carriage out of the forest and back on the road path.

The most hated man in the mortal realm? Not only did I kill innocents but also destroyed the homes of gods and goddesses. Just what in the heavenly realm have I been thrown into?!?

With that being said how am I going to tear down everything this man built? And even if I could would that be enough to redeem the person that was once in this body?

I’m stumped on how I could possibly fix any of this but I can’t just give up. I have to keep going. If uncle and auntie taught me anything it’s that I need to keep going no matter what. No matter amount of crap gets thrown away, no matter how many times I fall…I’ll get back up and keep fighting.

As we’re no longer in the forest the sight of the day was slowly fading into nighttime and with that came a beacon of hope. A village lit up only a mile away. This was fantastic for me since it felt like I had been walking through endless grass plains trying to find any sign of life. And now here it was.

With each step I took, I could only think of every bad thing that could happen the moment I entered the village. Would they attack me? Would they kill the girl I was with? Or would they alert whatever group I was a part of and all hell would break loose?

Each step forward a wall could be seen getting bigger and bigger. One made of stone and wood with three guards at the front. Each of them wore red and gold armor as they held spears. None of them looked ready to see me covered in blood carrying a carriage. Once they saw me they looked confused, but none of them were hostile whatsoever.

But yet the more I approached the gates my own senses began to fail me. My breathing became heavy, my head aching as my feet began to bleed. I kept fighting every pain I felt as I carried this carriage but now they all flooded back at me with a vengeance.

As I took one deep breath I could feel my knees fall down onto the floor.

And with my eyes slowly closing all I could think of was how unfair this all was. Why was I in this body? Did I do something so horrific in my other body I had to be punished like this? Was Zhiyuan hurting my loved ones? Would he kill auntie and uncle? Would he kill Yi or do worst things to her…my only and best friend?

All I could do was hope and my heavens…was my hope beginning to dwindle.

“Ergh…where…where am I?” I said looking up at the wooden ceiling.

Upon looking around I could see I was in some kind of bedroom. Nothing fancy besides a bed, dresser, and a single window. But upon further inspection, there was a single woman in the room. Armed with what I could assume was a gunpowder weapon due to the trigger on the handle. The woman herself was young lightly dark skinned and at most twenty wearing simple red robes with her hair in a bun.

As she looked up at me I could see she was in no mood for any of my silliness for when our eyes locked her gun raised at my head.

In an attempt to move I could feel the rope growing tighter on me as I did what I could to move. Looking at the bed I was on, my legs and my hands were tied to the bed frame. It would be impossible for me to move unless the rope was cut.

So in other words…I was screwed.

“Give me one good reason I shouldn’t blow your brains out now?” Said the woman as she pressed the gun onto my forehead.

“Uhhhh ‘cause…um..I’m not the man you think I am…heh,” I said with a nervous smile.

“Oh yeah? Arent you the black demon, ruler of the demon tribe and destroyer of earthly realms.”

“Well, Would you believe me If I told you that that man switched bodies with me and that my name is Lixin Zhang and that I’m far from home…heh…” I said as I began to sweat profusely.

“Lixin Zhang? Do you really believe I would believe such an obvious lie? You must think I’m dumb.” She said pressing even harder on the barrel.

“IT’S THE TRUTH! I didn’t ask for any of this you know. I just was a simple farmer with one friend who lived killing small animals and gathering crops. I never killed anyone in my life and now I’m solely responsible for the deaths of innocents. This Is some utter fucking BULLSHIT! So if you're going to shoot me fucking shoot me! You’d be doing me a favor!” I proclaimed as I moved from right to left struggling to get out.

The woman did nothing in the moment and in the next she lowered her gun and sat back down. With her hands being placed on her face in one swift swipe she looked back up at me with a look of frustration.

“You’re either insane or telling the truth and I can’t tell.” She said as she got up from her seat.

“Well is there any way you can tell? Cause this rope is starting to burn really bad.” I said struggling even more to get out of the restraints.

“Sigh…ok…this is what we’re going to do. I’m going to go see old man Zhao and get his opinion but for the moment you're going to stay here…capiche.” She said walking to the door.

“Where would I even go?” I said sarcastically.

“I’ll be back in a moment.” She said right before I interrupted her.

“Wait!”

“What?” She said looking back at me with a look of annoyance.

“That woman. The one I carried here…is she alive?” I asked with concern.

“Yeah…she’s alive but barely. She’ll need to rest but I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to see her once she recovers.”

“And why would that be?” I asked looking directly at her face.

“Because she’s the princess of the Kingdom of ivory, and you killed her father the emperor along with everyone in her village. Once she regains her strength she will indeed kill you if we don’t do that ourselves. Now bye.” She said right as she left.

SLAM!

“Well…shit.”
