It was a bright beautiful morning in America. Howard Bright, the slim black haired Floridan with emerald green eyes walks out of Orbitair Inc. HQ and head down to the street with his black suit with a blood red tie. He had ordered for a robo-taxi to come pick him up to commute him back to his home.

A metallic white car parked near, opening it's suicide doors. He sits on the vehicle's comfortable white seats. The door closes, and it starts to move. He reminisces about his life. Once a broke college student in mechanical engineering to a solider in the Taiwanese war, to mechanical engineer for Orbitair Inc. specializing in military and civilian purposes for Space exploration and colonization.

As he sits back in the car, he thinks of the past. Once a broke young man in the middle of the 21st century's great depression, to a draftee forced to join a major war he didn't want to fight, to being one working along with the most pioneers of the space-manufacturing industry.

His phone then starts to ring. He looks at who was calling him at this hour. It went by a name called Rebecca. A fellow co-worker he worked with for a military spacecraft. He answers the call and the two started chatting, about work and life.

Once the call was over, he places it back on his pocket. As he started to relax in the ride, he heard an annoying repeating honking noise.  He looks to his left side window. There was a car, moving unusually fast, straight towards him. In a state of panic, he tried to leave, but was just a second too late.

A malfunctioning A.I in the other collided with the one Howard was in. The sirens of the ambulance was heard. Howard was put into the hospital, along with the other passenger from the other car. After 5 days in the hospital, the two came out. One on a wheelchair, and the other in a coffin.

...

Strange dreams and habits plagued the eldest son of the Maybale since birth. The creepy platinum blonde haired boy with soulless jet black eyes projected on a sleek face jumped out of bed to the cold tiled floor. He was thin, but not frail. He wore a white and blue stripped pajama, while sleeping on a queen sized red bed in a room painted in white, with many red curtains, and luxurious renaissance furniture.

Hung up on the walls were the paintings Kant had drawn from his dreams, or now, memories of his previous life. Paintings of cars old and new, people, countries, famous landmarks and sights, technology, history, entertainment and many more. It had now become a reminder, of where he once came from.

"Well, now I know." Kant sighed, and decided to get ready by taking his regular morning bath. After it was done, the 16 year old boy wore his black suit with golden yellow linings. The suit oddly looked a lot like the ones from the renaissance from the old world. Just then, a knock on the dark oak, square patented door could be heard.

"Come in."

Cora, a fair blonde maid, wearing an all black maid outfit entered the room, carrying his morning breakfast of bread, butter and water on a silver tray. There were more things on the plate, yes, but it was the gist of it. The bread, unlike in his old world, was drier, harder and less appetizing. The same could be said for the other dishes on the tray, but he was used to this food at this point.

She placed it down on his table. He walked over there to eat. He placed a daisy white napkin on his lap and grabbed his silverware before he started digging in.

"Prince Kant. I have been given a message for you." said the maid.

"What is it?" he asked in his usual sad voice after swallowing the bread with butter he ate.

"The King's health had been gradually declining because of mana fever. He had asked you, as his son, to temporarily take up the throne while he goes away to heal."

The king had been plagued with illness for a while now. At first, it didn't held him back from rule, his health gradually had declined over the years. This meant that the manaless or 'empty handed' Kant Maybale had to temporarily step up to his position.

Due to envy from being born into a gifted family, while having no magic meant it made him ineligible to join the most prestigious academy in all of Actaeon, constraining his ability to forge relationships with the other royal families.

His siblings, on the other hand, had managed to be born with huge amounts of mana, even compared to their parents. This meant that they will be able to guarantee the security of the small city of Hoverdam. Kant was isolated and rejected by the other kids of the other royal families as well as his own; straining his social life. Couple these factors together, and you have a recipe for a nihilistic kid.

Now, the king were ill, and his would be inheritors are at a vital point in their journey at the academy training to be powerful magic users and forge connections. They cannot be taken away from that position if the Kingdom is to survive long-term. The King had to go and stay in a far away city to be healed of his mana fever, which could take months. Kant was the only option left for them.

He takes a sip of water from his ceramic white cup, and places it down.

"I don't have a choice do I?" he says.

"Apparently so master." the maid replied.

"I guess I will accept."

"Then please inform them as soon as possible. His majesty is currently in his study."

Kant continued with his breakfast. After he was done. He had got up, and left his room. He walked across the hall that was lit by the sun's rays through the windows. Traversing across the white shining marble floor.

He arrived at a square patterned door with a gold door knob, protected by the elite mage knights wearing their signature sleeveless daisy white uniform, enchanted steel gauntlet and chestplate, while wielding a sword on their back. From behind the room, faints sounds of a light argument can be heard from the other side. The knight knocked on the door for Kant. A faint 'Enter' could be heard from the other side.
