~~** Tachibana Mayuri’s Point of View **~~

The thought going through my mind right now isn’t what I expected it to be.  Watching Shota-kun make love to Chigusa before me made me remember the first time Kanna-chan and I had sex with our lovers in a love hotel we shared.

She isn’t my best friend for nothing.  We’ve shared many things over the years, so being a party to two other people making love wasn’t new to me.  It was only that the couple I was watching this time was my husband… and my daughter.

Should I have been upset inside?  If I was a normal woman, that would probably be the correct reaction, however what I saw only made me happy.  My idiotic but pretty daughter was fucked stupid by my young husband who I trained from the ground up.  As he guided my daughter through the throes of each of her many orgasms, his eyes never parted with my own.

He was looking for a way out, but I wouldn’t give him one.  We are all tied down to each other now with our sins.  Shota would be a loving father to my granddaughter, and an excellent lover to my Chigusa.  In return, I would always be the one in his eyes.  How could I be jealous when I truly understood he had eyes only for me?

When Chigusa lay spent, he showed me the depths of his loyalty.  I wouldn’t be passed over or left unsatisfied.

That’s why the thought I had was so humorous.

It was what the gyaru outside at the arcade had said to me that kept recirculating in my mind.

I had given her my pack of cigarettes in return for the advice she gave to me about having a threesome.  I thought it a good time to quit, but damn if I really didn’t want an after sex cigarette right now… Shota gave me quite the punishment for making him do this, and I was going to be walking a bit funny for the next half a day, that’s for sure.

Chigusa rested comfortably, nestled between Shota and I.

I had everything in the world I could have possibly ever wanted together here in one place.  My precious daughter returned to me, behaved once more, now carrying our future inside of her.  A boy I could never have possibly imagined loving, being a more attentive lover and better financial provider than the man I was with for twenty years!

When Shota-kun’s arm finally went slack enough, I slipped out of the bed, went to the bathroom to put on a robe and went downstairs.

You see, I’m a bad girl.

It was three in the morning, and I was sitting on the patio just enjoying my backup cigarette I had hidden away for emergencies.  It’s hard to break old habits, and I admit my shortcomings, but what you want, when you want it, knowing you can have it? That’s all there is to it.

While I pondered about how the future would be between us now, the door to our house opened up.  I got quite scared at first, thinking it was a home invasion, but the door was locked, so how did they get in?

Into the kitchen they came, and I finally saw who it was.

And it was not good at all.

“Nene-san?”

Standing before me, looking battered and bruised with a welt on the side of her face, was Shota’s last living family member, and my newest friend, Okazaki Nene.

“Sorry to trouble you, Mayuri… could I crash on the couch?”

I stood up with a start and ran over to her, careful not to put pressure anywhere uncertain as I gave her a hug.

“Are you alright?”

Nene-san had been beaten.  Physically.

“I… I’m just glad I gave her permission…”

“Who, your partner?”

“No… Kumi.  I gave her permission to spend the night with her boyfriend, that Raita kid...”

“Oh…”

“Do… you want to talk about it?  How about a beer?  I can get the first aid kit if you want to take a seat…”

“I just… want a place to lay down for now… so… can I use the couch?”

“Yes, absolutely.  Let me help you over there.”

While Shota and Chigusa slept soundly upstairs, I was downstairs with Nene-chan who was undergoing a crisis.

“She… she gets mad from time to time if I go out without letting her know exactly where.  In this case she… said she could smell another woman on me.”

“That other woman… wasn’t me, by chance?” I asked, feeling guilty.

“Isn’t that strange?  It’s not your fault Mayuri… we were just… playing billiards.”

“Nene-san…”

“She’d never done that before.  I had come home and she was waiting for me.  We were in the middle of making love for god’s sake… and then she cornered me with that line… ‘I smell another woman on you,’  and then she just starts interrogating me.  I told her the truth, that I had accepted Kumi’s last minute invite and took a taxi to the bowling alley where we bowled with the kids and then took a small break to play pool, and that nothing close to whatever she might think had happened.”

“Right, nothing like that happened at all.”

“She had a cold look on her face, called me an ingrate, and then raised her hand…”

“Oh, Nene-san!”

I carefully held her hand and let her lean into me as she cried on my shoulder.

“I’m not even a lesbian… I was just afraid of the abuse my ex-husband put me through for all these years, that’s why I thought I was safe with her.  Now it turns out it wasn’t a man I needed to fear… but any relationship that comes my way…  I’m damaged goods, Mayuri!”

Poor Nene-san.  I stayed downstairs to comfort her as best I could, asking her if she’d said anything to Kumi-chan about what happened.

“I didn’t want to wake her or disturb those two tonight, but I was planning on having her contact me at lunchtime tomorrow while she was at school…”

“That’s a good idea.  If there’s anything you need, especially a place to stay, I don’t need to ask Shota-kun to know that you’re welcome here no matter what.”

“…there’s nowhere to stay here though, and I’m jobless as well…”

“Don’t worry about the difficult things for now, Nene-san.  Tonight…  things took an interesting turn for us… so we may have an available room for you.”

“An interesting turn?”

“Shota accepted my daughter as his lover properly tonight… so our relationship now… can let us be in one room.”

“Do I congratulate you?” She said with a mild look of confusion.

“Yes.  We’re all happy, and believe this is the natural course of things between us.  So please be happy for Shota and us.”

“Alright then… as long as he’s happy… that’s what matters.”

“Let’s lay you down here, and I’ll go get you a pillow and a blanket.  Do you want a beer or a cold drink?”

“No thanks… just a little company for a bit until I fall asleep, if I can trouble you.”

“Think nothing of it.  I’ll stay with you until you fall asleep.”

I fetched Nene-san a pillow and a blanket and stayed by her side, holding her hand until she fell asleep.  What she had talked about until then was the nature of her relationship with her partner and how when she had the chance after she was beaten to escape, she did that as fast as she could.

It’s tragic, but some people are unfortunate in love.  I count myself as being halfway into that category, and will wait a while to see how everything settles between Shota, Chigusa, and myself before removing myself from it.

To occupy myself, I began making bentos for them, and then slowly began preparing breakfast.  I wasn’t sure what to tell Shota, namely the extent of what happened to Nene-san.  But there’s no way he wouldn’t see her when he came down, and ask questions.

It was still early, barely five-thirty in the morning when both Chigusa and Shota appeared quietly in the kitchen.

“Shota-kun!”  I said startled, not noticing them or hearing their footsteps coming down the staircase.

“The bed was empty.  What time do you get up to make breakfast, anyway?”  Shota asked me.

“I couldn’t get to sleep...  You two, keep your voices down and take a seat.”

Both of them looked at me strangely and did so.

I then sat down with them and pointed over to the couch.  They both saw a body sleeping on it, and Shota quickly focused his attention on me.

“Who is it?” Chigusa asked.

“It’s Nene-san.  Shota-kun, something terrible happened to her earlier…”

I began to explain loosely what had happened and a face I had never seen before on Shota emerged.  It was pure fury.  Not the vengeful kind, but the impotent.  Shota’s precious family member had been harmed again, and he couldn’t do a single thing to prevent it.  He couldn’t have known, and that made it unbearable to him.

“So… I was thinking we might be able to put her up here for a short while.” I suggested it to my husband.

“Of course we will!”  Shota said in a voice not caring about hushed tones.  “I’ll… think of something.  I’ll rent her an apartment, for her and Kumi-chan... or…”

“Shota-kun. I can’t tell you to calm down, but can you speak a little more softly?”

His brows furrowed but he did as I asked.

“I was thinking, since we’re all in this together now, why not have Chigusa stay with us in our room, and let Nene-san sleep there in hers for a little while?”

“I’m okay with that, Shota.  Are you?  This was what Kumi-san was worried about yesterday, right?”

“What do you mean, Chigusa?” I inquired.

“While you two snuck off, Kumi-chan was saying how she thought Nene-san’s partner was a bit of a nasty woman.  She was worried for her mom and asked Shota to make sure to protect her if anything happened.”

“…that sounds like it’s settled already then.  Shota?” I shifted the topic to him.

“Yes.  If you won’t mind too much, please let Nene-san stay here for a while until I can figure something out.”

“Shota, she’s no less precious a member of your family then we are, of course we won’t mind if she stays.  I would actually enjoy the company while you are off having fun at school.”

“Whatever you think she needs, buy it for her.  I have plenty of money, it won’t affect anything.”

“You can entrust her to me, Shota.  I owe Nene-san for some prior help, and now I have a chance to make good on it.  Just let her sleep for now, okay?  I’ll have breakfast made for you in a little while.  Why don’t you two go take a bath together and get cleaned up for school?”

“Alright.”

Shota took my daughter’s hand and they went upstairs to get clean, and with any luck, dirty again.  Hopefully, Shota will channel his frustration about being unable to do anything for Nene-san into my daughter, which won’t be a bad thing for her, I imagine.

I began humming a tune from years ago and began making breakfast.  I made a little extra for Nene-san when she woke up and would most likely be hungry.

Our house temporarily grew by one, and I thought to myself that it wasn’t a bad thing at all.  There was no one here who didn’t appreciate Shota-kun, and how interesting my life had suddenly become.

Sure I was still a used up housewife.  But now I was married, in a threesome relationship with my expectant daughter and husband half my age, and I was going to be helping take care of a wonderful new friend close to my age who just so happened to be my husband’s (fake) ex-wife, who also had a daughter close to Chigusa’s age.

Things were way more interesting now then when I was just Hanazono Mayuri, a lonely boring woman with a runaway daughter and a philandering lover.

A mischievous laugh escaped my lips unheard to all but me.  I really am a bad woman, enjoying such a drama-filled life.
