Meanwhile, 30 minutes before Alan woke up.

In the god realm a beautiful tall girl, with long silver hair and a charming smile stood up, opening her arms gracefully as if welcoming someone.

-Goddess POV-

"Dear human you are now dea- Wait, where is the human soul?"

I, the goddess of my world, was waiting for the human soul I invoked. But for some reason, the soul was nowhere to be found.

I gazed at the eyes of the also confused subordinates around me, but to no avail, they too did not have any idea of what was happening.

...

Even after waiting for what seemed an eternity, nothing happened.

It seemed the only piece of information they managed to gather was the name of the anomaly, Alan.

"Where on Earth have you gone, human soul named Alan!?"

As the goddess's lovely face was on the verge of crying one of the angels retorted.

"Goddess, we are not on planet Earth we are on -"

"Shut up! Please just shut up for a minute!"

And so, the revered goddess started crying while the angels though on what to do next about this troublesome matter.

-Alan POV-

"Achoo-"

Ah! Someone was talking about me, hahahahaha... Man, I sure am lonely.

Well, what to do now...

I believe I have 3 options.

1. I could go in a random direction and try to locate a populated place.

I don't really like this idea, because depending on where am I, I will just die of dehydration, starvation, or fatigue. Although it doesn't seem so, humans only cover about 10% of Earth's land, so the theory of being isolated isn't a crazy statement. Well, the only good part is that although only 10% is populated, 90% has some mankind infrastructure built in it (road, train track, industrial land...), but it's still very risky.

2. I could move around while climbing high trees or areas to increase my chances of option 1.

That just seems a worse idea, because in case I take any fall or bruise damage it will be GameOver for me. I still have no information about the wildlife of this territory, there might be aggressive animals around here, and if I cannot run I am left with nothing. And on top of that, if the wound gets infected by some illness well... I will leave it to my imagination what happens next.

3. I could focus on searching for a river and a temporary shelter.

Yes, water. In the end, before thinking about finding people I should start by securing a reliable supply of water, humans can only survive a week without drinking water, and that's in an ideal case where the human doesn't engage in any kind of physically demanding activity.

Well, it seems the third option is the most realistic and with a higher chance of success, so let's not waste more time and get right into it.

And if I am lucky... I might be able to find people along the way!

...

Finally.

2 hours later.

I found a river!

Man, I am unable to take even one more step. And it's not because I am bad in terms of stamina (I would say I am on the average side), it's just this terrain... It is just like hell.

It has random heaps of stones blocking the path, and even the terrain I am walking in is very rough, having continuous ups and downs...

*Haah...* "I would say I am about 3,5km from where I woke up, but unfortunately I have not managed to find any sign of human presence, not even a single life form."

"Okay now, let's stop avoiding reality and... WHY IS THE WATER SHINING???"
