*Fiuu...*
"That should do it."
After taking care of the cat, which by the way, I should probably think of a name for her... I started crafting stone tools.
And now I have finally realized something... Primitive humans were incredible!
Let me just say, creating a basic axe is far more complicated than calculating the aerodynamics of an aircraft, at least that's how I see it.
But after some time, I got the hang of it, and I managed to successfully pull out a stone axe and pickaxe, they are the same in appearance, but I wanted to have individual tools for each task. Also, I thought it might come in handy, in case one breaks.
But as I was resting, right out of the cave, while petting the sleeping cat I had right by my side, I realized something crucial.
Fire.
The main discovery of the Homo Erectus, which made an incredible jump between technological eras, was the manipulation and use of fire.
It was a game-changer. Not only will I finally have a source of light other than the moon, but in case I manage to catch a fish or a wild animal, I will be able to cook them (I am getting tired of only eating the strange apples for breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Also, if winter comes soon, I won't have to worry about finding heat sources.
So. How does one make a fire?
The principle behind this process is known as the fire triangle, which as it implies, is the combination of three ingredients combined altogether: oxygen, heat, and fuel (well, there is also the fire chemical reaction but that's it).
There is a myth that the only way of creating fire is with stones, but that's one hundred percent wrong.
In my case, I will be using the tinder (which is any kind of dry and thin wood) and firewood method.
How it works is the following way:
*Haaaaaah...*
Not the most amusing activity in the world, but this is the safest and most secure process there is to get fire. And once you practice, they say you can get it quite fast.
"Well let's stop with the small talk and get working!"
*Merrow?*
...
It was already nighttime.

Although the cute cat beside me seemed as if she was having the time of her life, I. Was. NOT.
Do you know? Before I managed to light the fire, I thought my hands were the ones that were going to be burned!
Even now my hands were still trembling!
The first time making fire will go down in my memories as one of the worst experiences in my whole life.
Well, it's true that as time went on I started improving my technique, but even so, I think I just did it by pure luck this time.
"But next time will be different, I promise you mother nature!"
At least with this accomplishment, I made enormous progress. Millions of humankind years...
As I finished my rambling I fell to my feet.
Then, the cat opened her eyes as if she saw her chance and quickly went right to my lap.
To avoid getting the cave infested with smoke I built the fireplace at the entrance, but the heat was still arriving where we were.
Since I awakened in this strange place I have been always giving my all.
You can even say I am enjoying it despite everything.
"Well, I still want to find a way back as fast as I can..."
At least now I have a small companion going through the same problems as me.
As I reflected I came up with the perfect name for the cat.
"Hikari, that will be your name! Your fur is black but you are like the light for me who was alone!"
"What do you think?"
*Meow!*
She seemed to like it.
Some minutes later we were both happily sleeping.
