Chapter 63: Fearless

Ao Shen's body began to shrink down to its original size. After burning himself internally and getting pummeled by Bruce mercilessly. He no longer had the strength to fight.

"Please end me…" Ao Shen began to beg.

"But the fun hasn't begun yet" Bruce smiled in kind while breaking every bone in Ao Shen's body.

"Arghhhh"

Ao Shen screamed loudly as Bruce was taking his time to give out the punishment. The mighty dragon turned into a mutilated beast. Everyone was shocked by the cruel scene.

"Bruce, stop!" Sophia came near Bruce's side.

Ao Shen looked at Sophia with his half-open eyes and begged her to end him.

Sophia hugged Bruce tightly to stop him from further torturing the dying dragon.

"Sophia you…" Bruce turned around and looked at the beautiful pale figure hugging him.

Sophia looked at him emotionally before saying anything.

"This isn't you, Bruce."

"I beg of you, please don't sink to their levels" Though Sophia was glad that Bruce managed to defeat the enemies, she was extremely saddened to see him turning into a vengeful monster, unlike his usual cheery self.

Sophia didn't want her companion to be tainted with this memory as that would change him forever.

"Sophia, I…" Bruce didn't know what to say when Sophia began to tear up.

"For me, could you just kill those two and be done with it?" Sophia asked him in a shaky tone.

Bruce looked at Sophia for a few moments and nodded. He realized that what he was doing was the same atrocity that the dragons planned to do to his group.

Bruce turned to the dragon laying on the ground and turned his body around so that his eyes would be facing Bruce.

"I will kill you immediately if you answer the following questions truthfully" Bruce declared his price.

"If you lie to me, my soul will be able to detect the fluctuations in your soul and you can enjoy the next 48 hours writing in pain"

"Understood?" Bruce got closer to Ao Shen to look at his face.

"Okay…" Ao Shen responded weakly.

"What is the highest cultivation level in your continent?" Bruce asked.

"Worldly…. Supreme…."

"How many Worldly Supremes are in your continent?"

"I.. don't… know…"

Sensing that Ao Shen was speaking the truth, Bruce continued.

"Does your continent plan to invade other weaker continents?" This question was the question he wanted to ask the most.

"Yes…" Ao Shen answered in a dying tone. 

Seeing Ao Shen was out of breath, Bruce forced him to drink a few healing elixirs so that he could continue to answer the questions. Ao Shen got a bit better after drinking the elixir, but he was still almost dead.

"Do you know the strengths of the other continents?"

"Yes…."

"How do you know the strengths of other continents if you have never been there?"

"Worldly Supremes can sense each other's power as they are connected to the planet" Emir replied to gain favors in Bruce's book. He felt terrible about the whole thing because he was going to die to a human that doesn't even have a Worldly Supreme background. His soul would be forever held by Lucifer for nothing.

Bruce turned around to look at Emir, who had the pleasure of not experienced Bruce's torture yet.

"Interesting…"

"How come none of your continents hasn't invaded other weaker continents yet?" After getting the answers to his previous questions, Bruce knew that this question was the most important one.

Ao Shen wanted to answer but he had almost no energy to speak. His eyes turned to Emir for help. The current state of the prodigies of the two races would make everyone feel pity for them.

"It's because of the continental barrier. If a being from a different continent travels to another continent, the continent barrier would wipe out that existence regardless of cultivation" Emir replied.

"Stupid dragon, why can't you answer that question?" Bruce smacked Ao Shen on the head.

Ao Shen began to close his eyes and approached death. Bruce sighed and turned to Emir.

"How come your continent plan to invade when the continental barrier is still available?

"For some reason, the continental barriers began to weaken 16 years ago."

"All the Worldly Supremes felt that and made plans to conquer other weaker continents" Emir replied meekly as he was prepared to kiss his life goodbye.

"How long will the continental walls stay up?" Bruce asked.

"I don't know…" Emir truly didn't know as that information is only something that belongs to the higher-ups of his clan.

"Well thanks for all the information, demon"

"You may pick up whoever is alive in your group and leave this city" Bruce walked toward Edward who was getting healed by Sophia.

"You're letting me live?" Emir looked at Bruce in shock.

"Yup. You have provided me with a lot of valuable information unlike that dead dragon over there"

"You…" Emir could no longer understand Bruce. One moment he was a true devil and the next moment, he turned into a saint. Emir struggled to pick himself up and walked toward his group. Some of the demons were still alive after getting hit by Edward's illusion attack. The others were not so much and got their souls completely destroyed.

Just as the angels and the other human group began to leave as well. They had experienced the most extraordinary series of events in their life. Seeing that nothing else would happen, all of them headed toward their respective exits. However, the sky turned dark.

A gigantic image of a dragon appeared above Ao Shen's dead body and roared loudly. Everyone covered their ear but the roar still managed to damage them.

"WHO DARES TO KILL MY DESCENDANT?" A giant black dragon who could easily cover the sky yelled in anger.

"That would be me" Bruce was unfazed when seeing the giant dragon. For some reason, he wanted to tame one to travel across the world.

The black dragon turned to Bruce and looked at him in rage.

"You, a puny monkey, dare to kill a descendant of this supreme?" The black dragon locked down on Bruce's soul but for some reason, he couldn't do so.

"Yup, he offended me by going after my group so I killed him" Bruce calmly replied ignoring the giant black dragon's tantrum as he knew that the black dragon couldn't do anything physically to him. Also, compared to the man in his visions, this dragon is just a speck of dust.

"I will remember your face and rip out your organs when I arrive at your continent!" The black dragon said his final threat before going away.

"One piece of advice, giant lizard." Bruce grabbed the black dragon before it could disappear.

"Come near my continent and I'll wipe out your entire lizard bloodline" Bruce no longer had a calm demeanor as his face turned stone cold.

"Funny threat from a puny monkey!" The black dragon laughed madly before he felt something touching the soul that he attached to Ao Shen. A powerful hand came near the soul and smashed it to pieces.

The giant black dragon suddenly disappeared, and the sky turned back to its usual blue color.

Bruce didn't know what happened as he wanted to talk more trash with the black dragon. Another surprising event happened because the leader of the angel group came near him.

"Quite fearless of you to offend a Worldly Supreme" The leader of the angels said.

"Does it matter? He'll come to my continent regardless" Bruce smiled at the angels. He was thankful that neither the angels nor the other group of humans joined the attack. If they had, everyone in his group would definitely be wiped out.

"I have a proposal for you" The angel leader began to speak.

"Swear allegiance to the angels' race and return with us to our continent"

"The angels will be able to protect you from any harm"
