Chapter 2: Chapter 0: Prologue

Cogito, ergo sum.

Society is a cold dark place. As some probably-famous person once said, 'It's a dog-eat-dog world.' Even so, there should be no place that humanity can't inhabit—by association, there should be no place that I can't inhabit.

Am I now? To put me through such a painful experiment, you really are all hypocrites. For what gain? Am I supposed to thank you? Are you supposed to thank me? I don't get it. I... don't get any of it. 

It really hurt, you know?

Anyways, I'm supposed to make the most of everything now. The entire experiment was definitely a net negative for me. The minuscule increase in intelligence and physical ability was nowhere near worth the torture and suffering I went through.

I wonder, what would you have all done—if I broke?

Well, with great power comes great responsibility, or so they say. Well, fuck the responsibility part. 

I'll take this strength of mine and do whatever I want.
