"BOOM"
Yet another missile is destroyed by the golden-red energy, it exploded midair, and the explosion swallows Carol who couldn't dodge in time.
Carol feels as though she had been thrown into a spinning bumper car, she couldn't even maintain her balance under the forceful impact.
She had just learned how to fly after all.
Carol is thrown out of the flames in a slightly messy manner, yet there was still an unlimited amount of energy inside her, allowing her to still maintain enough stamina after long periods of combat.
Her contest with the continuously falling ballistic missile had lasted for too long.
Their battlefield has descended from the atmosphere to the skies a few kilometers from the surface.
This was a dangerous distance, even if Carol could destroy those missiles, but broken pieces would still cause a catastrophe as soon as they hit the ground.
She intertwines her body with the energy inside her body, the layers of intertwinement was like a most sturdy clad of armor.
And then, Carol's figure levitates in the air, she accumulates power in the air, then, like a shot-out arrow, she soars across the sky creating a golden-red energy trail.
She no longer aims, she no longer uses her energy, she uses herself as a weapon.
The moment she approaches a missile, she rapidly speeds up, then raises her right fist and...smashes!
"BOOM"
The heavy missile explodes midair, but this time it did not affect Carol's attack posture, she circled around the air like an indestructible metal warrior.
"Wow!!!"
In her exhilarated screaming, Carol used the most primitive method of attack used by Earth's ancestors to strike down all the Kree ballistic missiles around her.
The massive energy she had allowed her to absorb the nuclear energy caused by the missiles exploding, causing these super-advanced nuclear weapons to explode midair without causing radiation or whatever bad things that happen during a nuclear explosion.
But as Carol raised her head, at the end of the already smoke-filled sky.
Ronan's Kree armada had unleashed hundreds of ballistic missiles once more, the destructive meteor shower from just now reappears.
This made Carol feel powerless.
She could destroy the missile rain again and again, but the speed of her destroying the missiles couldn't match the speed of Ronan launching them. Only by directly attacking Ronan's armada and destroying those launch ports would the current disaster be averted.
But the problem is, if Carol wasn't in the sky protecting Earth from attacking, then by the time she finishes off Ronan's armada, there would be nothing left but a wasteland world.
Two difficult choices, and yet there was only one of her...
Take care of one thing and she'll lose the other.
"Cunning bastards!"
The blondie curses midair, she then prepares for another charge to destroy the falling missiles. But as she prepares to accelerate, a gentle voice suddenly appears in her mind:
"Miss Carol..."
"Who are you?"
After being controlled by the Supreme Intelligence, Carol hated the feeling of her mind being invaded, she holds her head with both hands and screams:
"Get out of my head!"
Wave after wave of roars, but the voice was not infuriated by Carol's scolding, in fact, his tone was still gentle:
"I'm here to help you, Go run amok in the stars, we'll handle these missiles."
Carol glances at the hail of missiles that were getting closer to the surface and voices out her doubts.
"Can you do it?"
And then, as if to present their power.
A strong magnetic force rises from the ground and like an invisible hand, catches the falling Kree missiles and slows down their fall.
And eventually, imprison them on the spot.
Seeing this and sensing the power no weaker than hers, Carol's eyes widen in surprise.
She suddenly recalls what the expert Cyber had told him, the expert said that unless the Kree are willing to risk it all, otherwise they'll never be able to destroy Earth.
And now it seems that perhaps that expert knew of the other powerful supernatural forces hidden on Earth.
She was not the only superhuman on Earth.
Not even the first!
"Then please take care of it!"
The arrival of reinforcements relieved Carol's worries, then, she speeds out into the stars like an arrow.
She soared all the way past the atmosphere and saw Mar-Vell's lab that was under attack by Kree shuttles; the defense cannons of the lab kept firing, but in the face of an innumerable amount of enemies, there were obvious cracks on the surface of Mar-Vell's lab deck.
"Get off them!"
Carol roared like an angered lion, after knowing the full truth, she had little to no favorable opinion on the Kree.
She speeds up once more, the energy she emitted even formed a corona-like flame emblem, she smashes into the Kree shuttle's attack group like a swung hammer of light.
Everywhere she went, all was destroyed, all was burning.
Like a stream of flames plowed among the stars.
The scene of the continuous explosions and banishment made Fury and the Skrulls controlling the defense cannons let out a cheer.
Of course, this agent leader didn't forget about the important things, he grabs the communicator and says to Carol who was beating the crap out of the Kree:
"Carol! Head to the Dark Aster! Merlin's gone to assassinate Ronan! He needs help!"
"What?"
A hint of astonishment appears in Carol's voice:
"How could you let him do something so dangerous? He's not a match for Ronan, once he gets killed by Ronan...we...everything will be over!"
Then, Carol's figure stops midair, she then turns sharply and heads directly for the Dark Aster.
The Kree warships could not let Carol get through so easily, as they fired the ballistic missiles, the deck cannons and ray cannons all came online; for a time, the stars were littered with countless bullet storms and light beams.
But they couldn't stop Carol.
They could not stop the goddess of war who was free from bound and was radiating like a star.
"BOOM"
The furious Carol broke a hole through a large black starship in an outrageous way, the explosions on the surface of the starship looked like a most dazzling display of fireworks among the stars.
They...
Messed with the wrong people!
On the other side, in the flagship of the Kree armada, the Dark Aster, Merlin while holding a katana in one hand and berserker baton on the other kicks open the heavy valve, he storms into Ronan's command room like a beast.
There was blue blood stained across his katana, meaning that Merlin had sliced and diced his way here ever since he boarded the Dark Aster.
His current status was abnormal.
His breathing was fast, and as he breathed, hot gas shot out of his nostrils, even sending out sparks.
In his amber eyes, the orange pupils had become white.
A weird white color...it gave off an uneasy feeling.

On his forehead was a pair of small black horns that seemed to be something of an ornament.
He was still in human form, but his active absorption of Trigon's power shard had caused the stable dark mana inside him to expand and riot.
The black fog intertwined on Merlin's body like it was a black cape.
The strength enhancement Rabid Morris acquired from Trigon had been completely transferred to Merlin, the evil energy was burning his mind, along with the enhancement of the berserk baton, it was hard for Merlin to remain rational.
Thankfully, he was currently in enemy territory, so he need not care for rationality.
He just needed to completely erupt the boiling anger inside him.
"Maniac!"
As Merlin stormed into the command room, the two adjutants next to Ronan took out their axes and guns, and attack the intruder.
Ronan himself acts as if he didn't see Merlin's intrusion, he simply retains his previous stance while quietly looking at the invaded Earth.
Confusion and curiosity flash in the Accuser's eyes.
His armada had unleashed 3 rounds of missiles, yet Earth was completely unharmed.
Carol Danvers had received some mysterious help, and the mysterious help's extreme control over magnetism greatly interested Ronan.
He seems to notice the hidden secrets behind the seemingly behind planet c-53.
Behind Ronan, a loyal Kree adjutant waves his ax and strikes it at Merlin, and as the ax was swung, Merlin dissipates into black fog, but this time, there was something else to Merlin's black fog.
After the assimilation of two completely different demonic energies, the form of Merlin's black fog had changed.
The originally ornamental sparks in the black fog had become substantial crimson flames, this caused the temperature of the spread-out black fog to reach scorching levels.
He dodges the ax attack of the Kree adjutant, appearing behind the Kree, and the katana blade intertwined with black fog flashes a lethal light.
"Ka Ka Ka"
Following the noise of metal being torn, the katana blade enhanced by the heated black fog slices into the strong Kree warrior's body, beheading his head along with his sturdy armor.
The other adjutant fires at Merlin with a powerful energy hand cannon, but it only penetrated Merlin's body without doing any damage to him.
Merlin raises his head and looks at the adjutant with his pair of white pupils, an evil smile appears on his slightly distorted face.
He raises the hand with the berserker baton, then the threshing black fog mixed with flames storms towards the Kree adjutant.
As the black fog intertwined, the Kree warrior screamed as if he had been thrown into a pit of fire.
In a short few seconds, the liquids in his body were completely evaporated and his lifeless body is thrown behind Ronan like a dry corpse.
"Shing"
A light sound resounds as the katana blade slices through the air and cuts at Ronan's neck.
But Ronan simply raises his hand and a glow flashes on the war hammer held in his hand, a strong invisible forcefield blocks Merlin's attack.
He casually waves his hand as if waving off an annoying fly, and Merlin in midair is sent flying backward, and eventually, he crashes into the wall.
"You!"
The Accuser turns around and looks at Merlin, disdain flashes in his grey eyes:
"Have you come all this way to die?"
Merlin did not answer, the rage in his body and urge to battle burned like substantial fire.
His body dissipates into black fog and reappears behind Ronan like a most elite assassin; he strikes the katana blade and berserker baton towards Ronan's neck from left and right.
"Dang"
The katana blade was forcibly stopped as it came in contact with Ronan's war hammer.
Ronan then accurately grabbed onto the wrist of which Merlin used to hold the berserker baton.
Merlin feels as the Kree before him had infinite strength, his caught wrist was like it was pincered, and was unable to move at all.
"How desperate do you have to be?"
Ronan twists his wrist outwards, Merlin struggles yet he could not match the strength of the Accuser before him.
A violent yet bloodthirsty light flashes in his grey eyes as he says softly:
"To pray for power from a demon?"
"Clack"
Merlin's wrist was overwhelmed as Ronan broke his hand before he could even transform into fog.
The extreme pain coerces Merlin's figure to dissipate into threshing black fog, yet he didn't run.
Instead, the threshing black fog intertwines on Ronan's body, the flashing sparks in the black fog quickly heat up; the Accuser smugs disdainfully and taps the war hammer in his hand onto the ground.
Lights flicker on the surface of the activated Kree weapon 'The Universal Weapon' as a forcefield shield appears.
"BOOM"
The trump card Merlin had not used for a long time is released.
At that moment, all the dark mana absorbed from Merlin's body explodes in the craziest way in the threshing black smoke.
The forcefield created by the Kree war hammer had absorbed nearly all of the force from this final blow.
The greatest trump card Merlin had done nearly no effective damage aside from making the Accuser somewhat messy.
Like a Kree cruise missile had gone off in the command room, the mana that exploded after being condensed to the limit even formed a substantial crimson ring that sweeps across the bridge of the Kree starship, destroying all the devices nearby.
"BAM"
The energy blast caused by the war hammer tapping on the ground easily tears apart the black fog entangling him;
The small black horn on his forehead slowly retracts back into his flesh, the sinister white in his pupils begins to fade back into his original amber light.
Nearly all of his body had been frozen in ice, he looks at Ronan who was grabbing his neck, and sees the bloodstain and wound on Ronan's face; a weak smile then appears on Merlin's pale face.
"Hah, you bleed..."
"Is it? It does hurt."
Ronan stares at Merlin with his grey eyes as if looking at a most insignificant rat:
"Yet what can this represent? Your world will soon become meaningless space trash just as your soon-to-end life."
Ronan raises the war hammer in his other hand to command his armada to continue firing, yet this time, there was no response.
Merlin's explosion had destroyed the communications between the flagship and the armada, he had done what he came here to do.
He had turned the armada into a leaderless situation. And in Merlin's eyes, a flash of golden-red light shoots towards the Dark aster amidst the chaos.
Ronan raises his war hammer, yet he saw the brighter smile on Merlin's expression, which made the powerful Ronan feel humiliated.
"Prepared to meet your maker? Earthling."
Ronan waves his war hammer, he has grown tired of this meaningless conversation, he has given this Earthling warrior who dared to approach him enough respect. And now it was time to end it all!
Merlin did not care for Ronan's falling war hammer, he looks behind Ronan at the ever-closer glow in the stars and says softly:
"I was born ready, but definitely not you..."
"Bastard!"
