Chapter 7: Hood

1 1/2 years after Alicorn's "Birth"

Alicorn is laying on her bed while listening and humming to some music from her radio. She has a small frown as she stares up to the ceiling.

Suddenly there's a few metal clicks from the door and Alicorn shoots up with curiosity in her siren yellow eyes.

The door opens and Erik steps in, causing a large smile to grow on Alicorn's face. "Daddy!" She yells out as she jumps off the bed and launches into Erik with a hug.

"Hey, sweety." Erik greets. "How have you been?"

"Bored." Alicorn whines.

"Well, today I have brought someone to meet you."

Alicorn's eyes glow with excitement. "Really?!"

Erik nods and he looks to the door. "You may come in."

"As you wish." A proper and elegant British voice sounds from the door as a female walks into the room.

Hood lifts up her skirt slightly and does a curtsy. "I am HMS Hood, it's nice to meet you HMS Alicorn." 

"Pretty." Alicorn says, and Hood looks at her and sees her siren yellow eyes, causing her to slightly flinch. Alicorn tilts her head to the side.

Hood stands straight and looks to Erik. "Shall we talk more over some tea."

Erik nods and he looks to Alicorn. "I'll be back in a couple hours, okay?"

Alicorn slightly frowns and just. "Okay."

Erik pats her on the head and she smiles.  

The ship girl and Erik leave the room and Alicorn just plops herself onto the floor and lays on her back. She stairs up to the ceiling and sighs.

Alicorn is listening to the radio as she colors in her book.

A few metal clicks are heard from the door and Alicorn looks at it as the door opens. Erik walks in and he gives Alicorn a wave and a smile.

"Daddy!" Alicorn smiles as Erik walks over to her.

"Hey Sweety." He sits next to her. "Whatcha drawing."

Alicorn picks up the drawing and shows Erik. There are four stick figures in the drawing. The smallest one is holding hands with to adult stick figures with a second adult stick next to one of the other. 

Alicorn points to the smallest one. "This is me." She points to an adult stick figure. "This is you." She points to the second one holding her hand. "This is Mama." She points to the one next to the Yorktown stick figure. "And this is Aunty Enty." Alicorn lowers the paper and continues drawing.

"Wow, you're such a good drawer."

"I know, I'm the best drawer there ever was." Alicorn nods to herself. "Yes, yes." Erik laughs and Alicorn hands him the paper. "I want you to keep it."

"Really?" Erik grabs the paper and sees the stick figures labeled and there's now a sun in the top left corner and a house next to the stick figures. "Why's there a house?"

Alicorn smiles. "Because when we defeat all the sirens, we can all live together in happiness."

"That'll be nice." Erik folds up the paper and puts it in a pocket in his inner lab coat.

"Daddy?"

"Yes, Alicorn."

"Why am I stuck in here?" Alicorn asks. "Why can't I leave with room unless I'm with you?"

"Well... it's for your safety." Erik claims. "We don't want you to wander around the facility and get lost. That would worry everyone, and the others only trust me to take care of you."

"I... guess makes sense."Alicorn sighs and looks to the ground.

Erik frowns at seeing the state of his "Daughter". "Why don't we go outside and get some fresh air."

Alicorn quickly looks up and smiles. "Really?"

Erik nods. "Yes, now let's go."

Erik leads Alicorn the forest as they walk on a dirt path.

"Where are we going, daddy?" Alicorn asks.

"To see the sunset." Erik states.

Alicorn gasps. "I've never seen the sunset!"

They get though the forest and come to a beach.

Alicorn gasps in awe as the sigh.

"This is the sunset?" Alicorn asks.

"Yes." Erik puts a hand on Alicorn's shoulder. "This is what you're protecting. The peaceful sunset. As long as humanity as the will to fight, the sun will always come back to rise with our fight."

Alicorn smiles as she stares out to the ocean. "I'm gonna make a peaceful world where everyone can be happy!"

Erik chuckle. "Then I'm counting on you to do it."
