Chapter 6: Happy Brithday!

Erik walks into the observation area of Alicorn's room and he can hear music through some speaks.

There a few female scientists in the room, two are writing things down on notepads, while the third is observing Alicorn.

Erik walks over to the third female scientist and he looks into the room to see Alicorn dancing in front of her radio. "How long has she been dancing?" He asks.

"Nearly an hour." The third scientist says.

"She's a natural." One of the other scientists say.

"It's her birthday isn't it." The last scientist says.

"Yeah, it is." Erik states.

"Is Enterprise or Yorktown coming?" The third female asks.

"They, can't, an emergency popped up, and Yorktown's kinda pissed about it."

"Is anyone else coming?" The second scientist asks.

"No, Bismark's dealing with stuff at the Iron Blood Capital and Yamato or Nagato have never been here, I don't know why?" Erik informs. 

"I feel bad for the kid." The first scientist says.

Erik looks at Alicorn as she spins around with a smile on her face while she dances. "I do too. I'm going in and taking her to the cafeteria."

"Giving her a special birthday lunch?" The third female asks.

"Yeah, and we got a cake for her too."

"Oh, that's nice." The second female scientist smiles. 

Erik walks over to the door and enters a long code and after a couple seconds a few metal clicks are heard from the door and it opens.

Erik walks in as Alicorn keeps dancing, she's grown in height since she was "Born". She's now 3'5''. (106.68 cm). 

"Alicorn." Erik calls out.

Alicorn turns to Erik with a smile. "Daddy!" Alicorn quickly turns the radio off and runs towards Erik and hugs him.

"Hey, sweety, how are you doing?" 

"I'm having a good day, I got lots of coloring done!" Alicorn says with a big smile.

"That's a good but do you know what today is?" Alicorn shakes her head. "It's your birthday!"

Alicorn smiles then asks. "What's a birthday?"

"Well, it's a day to celebrate your birth. You celebrate it once a year on the same day."

"Wow, do you get sweets?" Alicorn tilts her head.

Erik nods. "Yes, you usually get a cake."

Alicorn puts her hands on the sides of her cheeks and gasps as stars form in her eyes. "A cake, I like cake very much!"

"Well, I've gotten one prepared for you." Erik states and Alicorn's smile brightens to wear Erik has to slightly shield his eyes. "Let's head to the cafeteria and you can eat it."

Alicorn just nods and grabs Erik's hand and leads him out of the room.

"We'll be back in about an hour ladies." Erik says to the three female scientists. 

"Have fun." The three say to him and Alicorn.

"We will."

Alicorn drags Erik all the way to the cafeteria and she brings him to a table. "Where's the cake?" She asks with a smile.

Suddenly a few cooks come out of the kitchen with a cake in one of their hands and they're singing Happy Birthday. (Which is copyrighted in real life, for some reason.)

The cooks set the cake on the table and wish Alicorn a happy birthday as they walk back into the kitchen. Erik cuts up the cake and serves her a slice.

Alicorn begins to eat her cake with ravenous intent. 

Erik takes a piece of paper out of his pocket and sets it on the table in front of Alicorn. "Alicorn, some of the Iron Blood scientists came up with a sketch of your rigging."

Alicorn stops eating and looks to the paper. "Wow, it looks to cool!"

"I'm glad you like it." Erik says. "They're thinking of adding a sword to be the runway for your rigging, so you can launch planes from it."

Alicorn shoves an entire slice of cake into her mouth. "That'll be so cool!" She says with a mouth full of food.

"What did we say about talking with your mouth full."

Alicorn stops for a few seconds, before swallowing her food. "Don't speak with a mouth full of food."

"Right."

"Sorry." Alicorn apologizes.

Erik smiles as he serves her another slice of cake. "It's okay."
