Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Bloody spectacle

The entire territories ruled by the gods were constituted of one thousand kingdoms, in each of those one thousand kingdoms there was a multitude of peoples who had good reasons to hate the gods, all he had to do was to select only those that he deemed useful to him, and it was exactly what he did, from each corner of ancient Greece.

And all those people could be seen in private places, their eyes locked on the balls they received from Maeron, balls that showed them Argus the king of Argo's kingdom, someone they knew for sure was an ordinary human facing against gods.

Seated on a platform away from the fight Maeron was making sure that everything was going as planned,

Turning his head toward the place where the fight against Serea and Hermes was happening he talked in the void "Look like you're done with them, original! Don't worry Argus and his men are doing just fine…"

Turning his head toward them again he said "look they even decided to make that a two to one instead of four to one like originally planned…, rest assured I would have intervened if things were bad!"

Seeing the performance of his men Maeron couldn't help but smile proudly

"As you constate we have underestimated the power that confers the mastery of thunder, it's not for nothing that Zeus is so powerful"

On the stage, Argus and his men were was fighting against the remaining force of Serea, and were dominating them,

"What the fuck is that?! What have you done, miserable, how can you use divine power!"

Elena Screaming in anger and disbelief as she was fighting Argus in one on one, with each blow she losing ground as the thunder coating Argus's sword bypassed all her defenses to attack her directly, in her already bad state she had trouble keeping avoiding his attack due to the speed that the thunder gives him.

The same phenomenon was happening all around her, her allies were having trouble keeping up with Argus's men.

"I gave my allegiance to someone who deserves it" he responded to Elena "to someone who will help me to achieve my vengeance and ambitions,"

He then brandishes his sword high above his head, the power on the sword became stronger and more concentrated, and in an instant, it falls back on Elena's sword breaking it in two

"Slash" under the eyes of everyone a large wound appears on Elena's chest, a trail of golden blood characteristic of the gods gushed out of her wound before falling back on Argus's body.

Panting on the ground in disbelief Elena looked up at the man who put her in that state with hate  "Cough, cough, I-I don', I don't know what you expect what fools you have on your side, ha, but  once Olympus learn what happened here, your pathetic kingdom will be destroyed and you as exemple will have to suffer for all eternity..."

"Spurt" with another strike Argus mercilessly releases Elena's head from her should and her blood shout in the air

"I don't need your advises!"

He then turned to his people threw his hands in the air and shouted

"Join me, and you will have a power equal to the gods themselves, power to shape your own path!!"

After that, he charges toward the goddesses who were still fighting his men, and very soon they were overwhelmed and eliminated

While it was happening maybe due to the excitation of the fight, the death of entities that they all thought were Intouchables most or just lust for power, but the crowd began to shout  for their king

"Long live the king, long live Argus..."

"We will stand with you.."

"Yeahhh..."

Other, a minority tried to stopped them in reminding them of the implication of what just happened, but it was mostly useless, others simply decided to quietly leave the country.

At that moment in perfect synch a change happened, all those who fought were replaced by new and fresh warriors

He heard at that moment the voice of Argus in his head

'Get ready I am sending the second group'

Under the applauding of the crowd, Argus said "for of you who still doubt me I decided to take down another group of gods under your very eyes..."

Nearly at the same time that he said that the gods sent by Hermes appeared in the center of the field, disoriented and surrounded by the body of the ones that they were chasing, they didn't have the time to regain their spirit when they saw fifty men charging them.

"swoosh" Maeron appears in an isolated place,

"Welcome, my lord!" the voice of Marion that he had sent on mission a while ago salute him respectfully bending the knee

"Tell me, how are things going?" Maeron asked taking seats on a throne present in the room

"Everything is going fine, we are ready to move at your signal, my lord"

"Excellent!" Maeron exclaimed, then in his hand, a glowing dark orb appears "This one is perfect for you; get up"

Doing as he was ordered he saw the orb in Maeron's hand, already knowing what it was he couldn't contain his excitation which showed itself on his face no matter how much he tried to.

"Thank you, my lord!"

Seeing that Maeron thought 'why are all my men always trying to act so cool all the time?' he just shook his head and send the orb flying into Marion's chest

After the orb disappeared in his chest Marion began to growl in pain, he fell on his knee in pain before being pulled in a vast ball of energy, it took him a lot of time and the help of Maeron for him to support the transition that was taking place inside him, when it was done he fell himself connected to Maeron, not only Maeron but also with all his men spread throughout the world.

Opening his eyes he felt completely transformed inside him was the power of a god, taking a deep breath the shadow inside the room began to move in accord with his will,

"What an incredible feeling," getting on his knee once again he thanked Maeron for his opportunity

"This is what I promised in exchange for your allegiance," replied Maeron

"The power of shadow will be perfect to control the underworld, I want that by the end of the day want them to have total control of all the organizations infiltrated.

"Understood!" Marion said solemnly before fading in his own shadow

"Fast learner!" said Maeron please by Marion's action
