Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Hostages

Underworld

Typhon was struggling against the combined attack of all those high-level gods who were ganging up on him, even after all the gods that he eat in the underworld it was far from enough to satiate his years of hunger, plus he didn't even have enough time to properly digest all the nutriment that he absorbs.

With Athena fighting by his side Hades they were able to injure him pretty badly, but it did not last, but their happiness was short live, snakes crawled from his skin into the wound, and in an instant, he was healed and ready to fight once again, the same phenomenon happened many times during the hours of fight.

But, after all those hours of fight even Typhoon's amazing recovery ability began to slow down, he knew that he will not be able to last much longer, even if his opponent Atena and company were in worst shape than him he knew after fighting Hades years ago that the later still had a lot of trick in his sleeve.

"That's enough for today," said Typhoon "it's time for me to leave"

"And you really think that we are going to let you run away monster?" said Athena

"I don't need your permission!"

(Poison smoke)

From his enormous mouth and the ones of the gigantic snakes on his shoulder a huge poisonous smoke appears attacking everyone in the surrounding, all of them were forced to fall back as they saw the cloud of smoke melt everything on his path, before surrounding Typhoon hiding from their sight.

"Attack!, don't let him escape!" scream Athena before launching a massive sword attack followed by the others who tried to reach Typhoon hidden in the cloud of poison, the only one who didn't attack was Hades who just look.

"Whoop" 

The combined attack disperse the cloud in an instant but the giant Typhoon was already no longer there.

"Where did he go?" asked Apollo 

Turning his head toward the sky Hades saw a minuscule crack in the exact place that Typhoon had used to get in 

"He left using the same method he use to come"  

Hearin that the others let out a sigh of relief, others let themselves fall on the ground fully relaxed

Athena then began to talks 

"At least we were able to weaken him, now we have to pursuit him..." 

She barely ended her when she suddenly collapse on the ground, revealing Hades who was standing behind her 

"Huh, what do you mean by that, uncle," said Apollo attracting the attention of the others, seeing Hades and Appolo who seems a moment away from fighting they took their fighting stance, but a "snap" resounded in their ears and all of them were sucked into a gate sending them out of the Underworld, leaving the unconscious Athena and Appolo behind.

"whoosh" at the surface a gate opened, from there the gods who followed Hades in the underworld were expulsed on the hard ground before to immediately closed itself.

"Where are we?" asked Tidus looking around 

"Out, we served our purpose so he threw us out," replied Esme a little angry 

"I see,.. he keeps Athena and Apollo with him, I wonder what I want to do with them"

"Isn't that obvious, he took them as prisoners, he probably holds their father responsible for what happened in there, anyway that has nothing to do with us, let's be grateful that we are kept out of all those troubles, it's time for us to part ways" Oceus the son of Oceanus said turning to leave

"Wait.." He took a few steps before being stopped by the voice of one of the minor gods, 

"What?" he asked displease

"What's this..." the god said pointing to a cloud of shadow coming toward them

"What the fuck..." After a moment they were able to identify what was coming toward them

"Monsters!!" It was a horde of monsters coming straight out of the purgatory

At the feet of Olympus a crack appears, from that Typhoon walks out visibly tired he looked around him Titans and monsters were battling all around him, many gods seeing him appear stopped fighting fear overtaking them, it was the same phenomenon that took place when he made his apparition in the underworld. 

Lifting his head his eyes met those of Zeus and his allied who were standing at the edge of Olympus 

"So, it's true.." murmur Zeus to himself "I should have killed you when I had the chance, I won't make the same mistake again" Saying that Zeus prepare one of his lightning bolts, but just when he was about to jump into the fight he heads the voice of Typhoon 

"Not today Zeus, not now, but soon..." he then saw Typhoon disappear in a gate that he generated at his feet, the same thing happened with the Titans who began to retreat back into purgatory the only ones who remains where the monsters some continue their rampages, while others began to disperse in all directions.

"Seems like the first wave has ended!" said Hera

"Look at them running away like cowards, huh, pathetic!" While the others were looking at all that with inquietude knowing that was only warning Ares just laugh making the others sigh.

"Exterminate all those monsters and count our losses it seems that we will face another war soon," said Zeus retreating 

"Sir, Lord Hermes is back, but, he is...in intensive care!!"

Zeus, burst in a white room to see his son surrounded by healers followed by Ares and others like Themis, Hera was the last to get in and stayed at the door observing everything with indiference

"What's happened son, who did that to you?, was it Serea?" he asked with a caring voice but with anger cancel in it 

"No, no Serea is death, probably along with everyone else..." 

"What!? What's happened?, Tell me."

"We were ambushed, by a god name Maeron and... and he manipulated Lightning!!" 

"That's, Impossible!!"
