Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Zeus vs Maeron 2

« Pheww » letting out a sigh of exhaustion while whipping out some none existing sweat Maeron looked at Zeus who was buried in the sand with a mocking smile.

“You are weaker than I expected king of Olympus I didn’t think that I will be able to put you in that situation so easily, is it the effect of those years of drinking and whoring...”

The derision in Maeron’s voice was clear

“I’m not complaining don’t get me wrong, on the contrary, the weaker you are the happier I am”

Said Maeron lifting his hand to deliver another strike on Zeus whose motionless body was barely visible due to the dust covering him

“Boom” before he did a powerful explosion of energy occurred all around forcing him to move away.

After stabilizing himself Maeron looked at the bleeding Zeus whom the aura had before much more dense and dark

“Forget capturing you, I am gonna shred you into pieces,” he said, and before Maeron could react Zeus was in front of him,

“Boom” he felt the fist of Zeus connect with his face and in an instant, he was blasted away before he could teleport away.

“Arg,” scream in pain Maeron thought ‘he is faster!!’

“Bang” before he could react he was once again struck, this time from behind launching him in another direction like a vulgar ball.

This happened for a few seconds before he was sent violently crashing to the ground in a big explosion

“Boom…”

“cough, cough… guess I underestimate him a little too much,” said Maeron wiping the blood from his lips while trying to get up.

He lifted his head to look at Zeus only to see a massive thunder spear coming in his direction

In another part of the battlefield, the battle between Zeus’s men led by Ares and Maeron’s men was raging, it was so intense that no one could pay attention to the safety of the others.

And at that moment one of the gods who had been separated from the others was struggling against the monsters who had surrounded him when he felt something pull him.

“Switch”

Without resistance, he found himself on his knees looking at a thunder spear in front of his eyes

“Booom”

Without even being able to scream he was dead, his body reduced to pieces.

Maeron who had taken his place looked at the sky where Zeus was standing looking in another direction, he then took that opportunity to disappear again leaving the monsters who decided to look for other targets.

“He is powerful that for sure, I struggle just to keep up with him, I need more experience if I want to be able to best him in a one-on-one fight… he is not even to be compared to the like of Hermes,” said Maeron seating on the ground in the remains of what used to be a house, even in bad shape he could use it to shelter him from Zeus gaze after hiding his energy

“huh!?” while he was thinking that he felt something coming in his direction

“swift” he teleported outside only to see the house he in a second ago blown up.

“So this is how you do that!”

Looking beside him he saw Zeus standing there

“Switching place with another one, I never saw space power used like yours, but this cheap trick won’t save you anymore now that I know how that work,”

“It doesn’t matter, I have other tricks” responded Maeron

“krr” Zeus coated himself with lightning before launching himself toward Maeron, but when his fist was one centimeter away from his opponent he stopped, or rather he found himself unable to move.

“Stab”

Felling something stab him from behind he turned his head to look who did it, but nobody was there, but with a closer look he saw what stabs him, it was a shadow blade, he lowered his head to see hundreds of shadow hands grabbing his legs.

 “This is Serea’s power, How?!” asked Zeus

“swish…” hundreds of hands supplementary moved from his shadow to grab his hands and forced them to his side forcing him to stay immobile.

“Bang, bang…” a barrage strike to the chest made the blade in his back penetrate deeper and deeper until it became visible on his chest, only then did he stop.

“This is another one of my tricks, they are stronger than when used them right, what do you think,” said Maeron

“Cough, cough…How did you get that power?” asked Maeron

“The same way I took your son’s power of course with another one of my cheap tricks” taunted Maeron with a smirk that infuriated Zeus.

Anger could be read all over his face even more power surged from his muscle and his aura was reignited,

“You’re right this I nothing but cheap tricks, they are nothing in front of my power!” he said tearing the shadows binding him like they were made of papers.

“Boom” before he could move forward two massive fists fell on him from the side

“Forgive me, you were saying?” mocked Maeron who just after freed himself found himself struggling against the fists of two Titans who appears from nowhere.

“Maybe you know them or maybe not, this is the fire titan Firemon and this is the earth titan Earthus they are two of those who were able to survive and strengthen themselves in the hellish place that is Tartarus, they are here to express the thanks to you,” said Maeron

Although he was against two powerful titans Zeus was slowly pushing their fist away to the point where he had his two arms stretches

“Krakk” two waves of thunders left him to electrocute the two titans forcing them to remove their hands all that under the eyes of Maeron who did nothing but watch

“you can bring as many weaklings that you want to the fight that wants, it won’t save you, I admit I was careless until now which allowed do damage me but it’s over now, I’m gonna end here and take care of the others behind,” said Zeus pointing at the battle of Ares who was holding his ground against about 5 titans and giants alone

“hmph, I expected the brain cells that you stole from mother to make you a tough opponent, but I guess not,” scoffed Maeron

‘Did he say mother!’ thought Zeus, but his train of thought was interrupted by the fist of Maeron coming toward him, that he blocked and pushes back before attacking the titans on the side

“Let me guess, you think that those titans came to help me after eliminating their opponent right,” said Maeron

“Well guess again,” hearing that made Zeus’ mind race a little he took a look around the battlefield to see that the number of monsters had nearly doubled, they were already vastly outnumbered when they came here but now it was worst.

Using one of his technics he was able to survey the entire battlefield, he didn’t like what he saw, more and more monsters were coming in without any restriction.

“Did you see them,” the voice of Maeron resounded beside him

“Outside that barrier, thousands of monsters titans, and others are coming straight from purgatory just for you”

“That barrier does not stop monsters, only gods…” explained Zeus after understanding the purpose of the barrier surrounding them

“Ding, ding, ding, good answer… I told you, this place is going to be your grave, king of Olympus,” said Maeron with a sinister look on his beautiful face.

 At Olympus

Today the room where Hermes was resting with the newborn baby of Zeus and his mother had many great names of Olympus in it, Hermes’ mother Maia, Apollo’s mother Leto, her daughter Artemis, the great Hercules, and a few others of their side were present.

They made some small talk for a moment before finally getting to business

“So, who did that to you brother,” asked Hercules to his brother, the atmosphere in the room changed from jovial to cold after he asked that question,

“tone it down everyone, we are not alone…” said Leto looking at the baby and his mother that she had protected and put to sleep, it was enough to make them retract their aura, but they were still waiting for their answer.

“It’s true that you weren’t here yet” remark Hermes

“It was a god, an extremely powerful one, without a doubt he was a high-level one, he played with me as if I was nothing…”

“You were injured…” said his mother

“I know full well that injure or not, it wouldn’t have made any difference, his ability to manipulate thunder an ability that has stolen maybe minutes ago was terrifying,” said Hermes with a pensive expression

“Do not bother yourself with it too much, I heard that father left to apprehend him, he won’t last long!!” said Hercules

“…Plus Ares is with him, I may not like the guy but you have to admit that he is extremely powerful, it’s his only quality, that Maeron has no chance,”
