Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Evolution

In a dark and gloomy place groans resound as a bloody and battered Mikaela slowly opened her eyes "Huh, argh where am I?" she asked looking around trying to identify her situation

After a lot of effort she was able to get on her feet but immediately began to uncontrollably cough "What the hell is this place? Did Queen Hera decide to lock me up here as punishment?" she asked between coughs feeling her skin and her esophagus burning

"Noo!" a sinister voice behind her responded to her question

"You are not to be locked up, you are here to die, you are here to serve as my meal, you are here to be slowly and painfully eaten, nothing more." Says the voice

An overwhelming fear invade Mikaela's body and she began to sweat profusely, it took all her willpower to slowly turn her battered body around, and what she saw made her fall down to the ground.

"N-no, it- it's impossible, y-you're dead!!" she muttered with a trembling voice seeing the Titanic body of Typhon looking at her with Saliva dripping from his mouth

An enormous snake came hissing a few centimeters from her face and snakes surrounded her when she heard Typhon ask "Tell me, why did you say that Hera send you here? give me a satisfying answer and I will consider giving you a painless and quick death!"

In her office Hera was meditating alone in a lotus position, after her connection with Maeron was done, her power who was already enormous, half the amount of her Zeus the King of gods grow exponentially.

She calculates that her power should be about ¾ of his power now, putting her at the same level as Athena, Poseidon and Ares, with the only one powerful enough to surpass Zeus is Hades who very seldomly leaves his realm.

She was always among the strongest, but now she could be listed among the elites fighter in Olympus.

That has been days since Hera was seated there regulating her energy to keep and regain control of her energy she became unstable due to her sudden rise in power.

Delana, Ariana, Geneva come here " after she ended her contemplation, she called her three confident.

""My queen you called us!!"" responded three women in armor who appears in front of her

"What can we do for you, my queen? Asked the named Geneva and dark hair woman

"It has come to my attention that there are traitors infiltrating our forces" she said looking at them as they digest what she just said

"And I think that Serea who was the head of our information I among them, it's why she isn't here."

"I knew we couldn't trust that sneaky woman, I never liked" shouted Ariana the red hair one as she suddenly got up

"Forgive me my goddess but I have trouble believing that, we've known her for a long time" said Geneva

"Are you doubting our goddess now…" replied Ariana

Seeing Ariana up and shouting, Delana got up to berate her "You idiots how dare you to stand and shout like this in front of our queen you barbarian woman get down" said Delana getting up trying to make her kneel by force, and as result, they just ended up shouting at each other, while Geneva tried to make them stop

Looking at those three fights like that despite the terrible news that she just announced Hera found herself chucking in amusement, that was like a breath of fresh air.

"That's enough I am telling you that so that you will not be too surprised later" she said to the women who quickly fall back on their knees.

"I made you come here for this!" she said sending three pieces of paper fly in their hands

"What is that my queen?" asked Geneva in confusion

"Contract, I made them, I want you to read those contracts understand them and sign them" answers Hera

Even though they were perplexed they all did as they were ordered and once it was done, using the feather of a peacock to injure their fingers and sign on the paper with their blood.

Once it was done the paper of the contract began to glow before disappearing into the void but the three of them could feel something being engraved in their heart, but at the same time their power grow by a lot.

"I can feel that the contract was successful, thank you!"

"it's our honor to serve you my queen, but if I may ask what did you d…"

"What did I do? It's simple." she ended her sentence "Someone recently pointed to me that marriage is just a form of contract and that instead of being just the goddess of Marriage I could aspire to more, and it's what I did." She explains to her subordinates who were looking at her with admiration in their eyes.

"From now on you will send all our warriors to me from the highest in the hierarchy to the lowest, be prepared my generals, you will once more be put to use."

"We are will follow your orders!!"

Once alone she chuckles "That work, that really work, haha…" she said putting her hand in front of her and making a rock appears in her hand, that was the power of one of her subordinate.

Earlier she appears confident and unfazed but the truth is that this power came from the understanding that she gains on her powers through the link that she had with Maeron, his  'Knowledge Divinity' allows him to have a deeper understanding of everything that he sees and he accepts to share this power temporarily with Hera triggering her evolution from the 'Goddess of Marriage' to 'Goddess of 'Contracts'

The contract that she made with her subordinate earlier was inspired by the link she has with Maeron allowing her to use or copy the powers of her subordinates.

"I will need to make a few tests but if I use it correctly I will become much stronger!"

Since she made her first contract with Ariana, Delana and Geneva, Hera could feel her perception and influence grow, from just Marriage to all types of contracts, from written to orals consequence her divine energy was also growing.

In the following days and months the moves of Hera began to alarm the gods as they felt the atmosphere of Olympus slowly change.
