Chapter 1: Prologue: Before We Are Too Late

1280 A.M. (After merge) Somewhere deep within the Forest of Gaia

*Whoosh, whoosh..* Moving through the Great Forest of Gaia as fast as the wind was a girl;  Around her caramel brown hair and running shoes were pairs of tiny glowing golden wings. Clinging on tightly as if her life depended on it was a nymph who appeared to be a slightly smaller girl donning a crown made of flowers atop her hair of grass.

"Bell, we need to hurry!" yelled the nymph.

"I know, Nia! I know! I'm going as fast as I can right now, and your clinging to me certainly isn't helping!" *Huff huff*. Bell replied through her exasperated breaths.

"Well, how else am I supposed to guide you through here? You're way too fast for me to keep up!" Nia shouted.

"You make a pretty good point. Okay, which direction do I go now?" Bell asked as they arrived at a split path.

"Go right; it's the faster route. Why are you so worked up?." Nia said.

"*huff huff* My brother is there! And hearing that damn coward Sid is heading there, too, means something relating to the Tulsa regime is going on! I feel we need to get there before we are too late." Bell grunted.

In the blink of an eye, a figure appears from behind one of the trees and trips Bell sending her flying and crashing into the dirt. "Ow! what the f-" her shout, cut off by the figure that stopped her.

"It is as you say, Bell; that is why I came here." the figure said calmly.

Nia, who regained her bearings after violently flinging from Bells' back into a nearby tree, screamed, "And just who the heck are you!"

Bell opened her eyes, and as a  rage she hadn't felt in years began to overcome her, she shouted, "Sid... how dare you show your face to me again! and then speak to me like we are friends!" Blinded by her swirling emotions, she swiftly gets to her feet and throws a fast punch toward Sid.

Casually stepping out of the way, he continues, "I don't understand your anger but allow me to tell you what is going on."

Clenching her fist so tightly that her fingernails broke her skin, causing blood to drip down her fingers, and holding back a well of tears and emotions from overflowing, she only muttered, "Explain. Now. What is my brother doing there, and what do you want with him."

"How presumptuous of you to think we are after him. Do you believe we did not know he was here and just found him? How naive." He said condescendingly.

"Get to the point, or I swear I will pummel you right here," Bell growled.

Sid lets out an exasperated sigh. "Calm down; nothing bad is happening. We are here to save the people in this village hidden from the world."

"Excuse me!?" Bell yelled. "Save them? Like you saved us? Do you even know what you're talking about?"

"Of course, I know. Let me explain this simply for you. We got word that one of the soldiers stationed near the forest felt a strange presence here for a brief moment. After he reported this, it was interesting enough to warrant an investigation of the area. The council chose students from the delta camp to sweep the grounds here since they were the closest Tulsa station camp and report back to me, the highest ranking member in the area, if they found anything. Your brother found this place and reported it to me, so I investigated and sent word back to Tulsa. See simple."

Bell's body immediately goes ice cold as she hears this news. "Wait... so you sent the word? Who is coming here? Why? Why is my brother still there? Why are you still here?"

"The prince contacted me and told me to wait for our ruler. He is coming to meet the unknown people here and save them from going down the wrong path in this world they haven't yet experienced. It is truly a kind gesture." Sid replied.

"What... you idiot! How do you not know anything? How could you be so blind and stupid? He's not coming to "save" them. No one gets "saved" by you people!." He's coming to kill everyone here!" Bell yelled.

Sid's eyes narrowed as his demeanor went cold. "I don't like jokes like that, Bell. Don't make me bring you back."

"Bell! He's there! My mom just told me!" Nia shouts from the trees beside them.

Stricken with panic, Bell released all of her strength in a swift sucker punch to Sid's jaw, grabbed Nia, and sped off toward the opening in front of them.

"Why do I bother trying to be nice to this damn traitor.." Sid grunts as he gets up and runs after Bell, who is now out of sight.

Running at full speed with all her energy, she finally made it out of the forest. "Nia! Quick where is your mother? I'll drop you off with them."

"They are right over there beside those buildings," Nia said.

Bell quickly dashes to the Nymphs and places Nia beside them, speeding off toward the town center. As she approached the circular opening in the sea of old buildings, time seemed to move slowly as she quickly surveyed the situation.

"One, three, six kids? People on the outside. Are those kids my age? Oh! There he is! Da-" she began to yell for her brother, whom she had just spotted amongst the group, as her eyes finally made their way towards the imposing figure of a man standing on a wall above them.

"Holy shit. That's the one on top of everything? What do I do? Can I save anyone? No, don't be stupid. Wait, what's he doing?"

She sees the man raising his arms and smiling as if he is about to embrace someone in a loving hug.

"No. No time to think. Ugh, I don't know what to do!" As Bell's panic grows, a light begins to shine from the man's hands.

"! Darius!" She screams as her body speeds over to the group standing in the center below the man. Diving on top of her brother, pinning him to the ground, she did not have a chance to speak again as the light enveloped the center, and a massive explosion erupted from its core.

*KRAKOOOOOOM*.

And then, there was silence.
