Gazei walked down the main street, heading toward the east gate where a bunch of players were hanging around. The roads filled with people talking to NPCs taking the chance to obtain a quest. The AI of the NPCs were higher than most DMMO-RPGs, and they did not appear to be scripted. It was like talking with actual people, so players have to be careful on what they say or risk pissing them and not get a quest. And there was a lot of competition; obtaining a quest is simply a pain in the ass.
A group of young men were fighting on the other side of the road. The fight was going smoothly, and it looked like they weren't bothering anyone.
After more than ten minutes since Infamous Online was launched, there had yet to be a single player with a quest from Sorelizar.
Having been reincarnated, he had the advantage of knowing what quests are and where are the juicy rewards. Gazei chose the rare quests and gritted his teeth because of it.
Completing this quest requires cash, and he doesn't have much money. At the start of the game, every player received a total of 10 Copper Coins. It wasn't enough to buy equipment or weapons; purchasing potions was not a problem.
There are two places where Gazei guessed there might be a lot of players. First, the town hall or barracks, and when he arrived at the barracks, he could clearly see a crowd of people gathered around the entrance. The building was huge, and he couldn't imagine how many people were inside.
Regardless of the game, a city Mayor or Knight Captain was usually the place to get quests. So naturally, no player would miss this chance.
"Hey, newbie, queue up if you want to cause an uproar. There is no cutting in line," from within the line, a muscular man yelled. Looking at his, he was a Knight class.
"Nah, man, I'm not getting a quest from this place." Gazei lazily replied as he looked at the massive line of players.
Fuck that...
The male Knight looked at the Street Fighter with some suspicion. Why wouldn't he? Players all over were trying to get quests fast as they could. Trying to get ahead of the professional gamers in hopes of making money. Heaps of money could be made in the early stages of any DMMO-RPGs, but this player said he wasn't going to get a quest. Was he stupid or what? No one would believe the bullshit the Street Fighter is trying to pull.
"Dude... chill, aight?" Gazei moved closer to the Knight and whispered in his ear. "However, I advise you to get a quest somewhere else. You wastin' your time here, bro."
"Why would it be pointless?" The Knight asked because some players already got quests from Captain Bason.
The dark-skinned teenager grinned cockly, and his expression didn't elaborate. "Seein' you're cool, dude, and I'm a gracious player with the know-how. How about I give you some levelin' advice? Go north of the Tall Grass and farm the monsters there."
"Are you high, my friend? I can't grind monsters outside yet, not to mention I can't even kill one or compete with the other players." The male Knight shook his head, wondering why Gazei would ask him to do something so crazy. He was not an idiot, having played many other DMMO-RPGs in the past. There were definitely waves of players and professionals at this moment, and those professionals don't like sharing shit.
"That's because you bein' such a whiny bitch and not bein' the man that you can be! If you go where I tells ya, there wouldn't be anybody to compete with you. I can't go there—because none of your business. You can a place all to yourself where the levels are good, and the respawn time of monsters are better."
"Is there such a place?"
The male Knight wasn't going to lie. Gazei was selling a great story to him. He was interested in the location. He still needs to wait for another two hours before he can try to earn a quest. If he did get it, the reward and the EXP would be meagre and not worth the wait time. However, if he could grind monsters for the same time unhindered, the EXP he could gain would far surpass the quest he gained from Bason.
"As I said: I got this! I'll give you a preferential price of 20 Coppers if you want to the exact location. Don't worry; after bout' a day, you will earn twice your money back from drops and coins.
"You trying to trick me, right?" the male Knight looked at Gazei with a stern face and a dash of destination in his eyes. He would take it in a heartbeat if there was such a prized location. But paying 20 Coppers was something he was reluctant to give. The monsters in Infamous Online rarely drop money or equipment, So any currency on hand was incredibly precious.
"Fine, dude, if you don't believe, you can pay me half now and the other half later... Just remember I'm only doin' this because I like how you look, and you have that protagonist energy."
With that, Gazei left, selling his pitch to the newbie. Five, four, three, two, one.
"Wait!" The male Knight called out to Gazei, who had his back turned to the man with a victorious smirk on his face.

There is always a sucker.
"You feel like a professional gamer. I will hand over the 10 Copper deposit." The male Knight said with a nervous smile, trading 10 Coppers to Gazei.
"Bet! I'll message you with the location. The place is a further bit away. The fuckers in that place are the (黑色的) Hēisè de Qilin. They are beast monsters with a lion's head, deer's horn, tiger's eyes, and ox's tail. Love defence and quick respawn rate. Always knew that horses, or whatever they are were quick shots. Where was I? On yeah, they also have high chances of droppin' money. A swordsman like a Berserker or a Knight would be great at killin' the little shits." Gazei explained, sending the exact location of the Hēisè de Qilin.
The male Knight was happy and relieved when he noticed that Gazei was familiar with the location and the monsters, even knowing the exact money drop rate of the Qilin. He was fortunate to meet a professional gamer. They are known to keep such secrets to themselves and gain wealth and influence both ingame and real life. But not any professional; Gazei might be a Beta Tester. The thought made the Male Knight become even more excited as he thought of this possibility.
"Sir, do you know the locations of skill book drops for the Knight subclass? It's kinda hard to fight with only one skill."
When Infamous Online was first released, everyone picked up a class they thought might be fun and went along with it. But Infamous Online was such a realistic game that if you have the knowledge and the fighting style of the class, you pick the brainwaves sent to the VR helmet would give an extra skill in the game like with is bat and chains. Of course, many players were pissed off when they learned this two years later.
"I do if ya wanna know... Then slide me 2 Slivers." Gazei said. He would share his future knowledge with anyone... That pays because he likes money.
The male Knight glared when he heard the price of the information. 2 Slivers were worth 100 Coppers. The currency of Infamous Online was just like real life. Copper was low-income, Silver for mid, and finally, Gold was rich. Not even the average guild with a gaming workshop has slivers right now.
"Sir... Can we add each other as friends? I'm Alex Louis Armstrong of the glorious Armstrong family!" Alex bellowed, making nearby players stare at them. "It would honour the Armstrong family to have as a friend. I will save up and pay you later."
Having met and befriended people like Alex before, Gazei thrust his right hand forward. "Aight, bet!" Both men shook hands, with the tall man leaving with the energy of a thousand road runners.
Now that he has the money he needs, Gazei when over to a certain open Beer stand. "Ayo! How much for you the Jasmine 'Grit' Tea?" Ignoring the fruit stand nearby selling products at half price today and today only.
Fruits, Vegetables and all types of food could aid in HP & MP recovery, but at this stage of the game, their recovery rate was dogshit. Most players don't buy them in the first place, anyway.
"8 Coppers, laddie."
"One, please."
Gazei paid the man and walked to the barracks again. He walked passed the line and entered the barracks like he'd owned the place.
"Hey, jackass! Don't you see there is a line here?"
"Ya bastard, wait in line like the rest of us!"
Players after Player in the queue become enraged and start bitchin'(criticizing) when they saw the thirteen-year-old Drakyn walk passed them without a second thought... No, wait, he is also giving them the finger. If it weren't for the fact they could be jailed, they wouldn't have long beaten up this punk.
"Sorry, but I doin' a hidden a for the Captain," Gazei said, making the line become silent as a ghost. What did this upstart just say?! "That's right, be jealous." Gazei made one last comment as he looked at the Drakyn with black scales, tail and wings. His face was somewhere in his mid-thirties.
