Athens, Imperial Capital of Macedon.

To the city's back sat the Crystal Falls, a series of sparkling terraced waterfalls pouring down from the highest peak of the Verdant Ridge.

The Crystal Falls resulted in a river known as the White Water River, that ran through the city center from Northeast to Southwest.

In conjunction with the river were several layers of city walls and numerous gates that separated the city into numerous districts.

Finan known to most by the Moniker Osiris, and to those close to him as Finn; was currently acting as the Squad Leader in charge of The Divine Order's Macedonian squad.

He possessed a rather muscular physique and stood around 6' 2". He had fair skin, thick medium-length jet-black hair, pitch-black eyes, and an immaculate facial structure.

He was making his way back from the Royal District to the squad's base located in the Harbor District when his HALO alerted him of an incoming call.

His first reaction was to take note of who was calling him. When he saw that it was Aiden, he knew he would have to take it regardless of his current circumstances.

As such, he decided to Blink directly to the base, instead of continuing the journey on foot and talking the call in such a public environment.

In the following instant, he disappeared from his position on the street and reappeared in the briefing room at the base.

The room consisted of a single large circular table surrounded by 15 chairs, with smart panels arranged on three of the walls, the other wall being dedicated to the entry and exit way.

He then synced his HALO to the smart panels arranged along the walls and motioned to answer the call.

When he did not only did Aiden's image and background become reflected upon the central screen. But so did that of Finn's wife Jasmine and his best friend Connor, the other two Squad Leads of The Order under Aiden's supervision.

Jasmine had a caramel complexion, thick brows, a pointed nose, smoky dark brown eyes, a facial structure just as immaculate as her husband, and thick dark brown hair tied up into something of a messy bun with two strands hanging down which framed her face.

Connor had a head of untamed platinum blonde hair, a fair complexion, and piercing ice-blue eyes.

A wide grin was plastered across Aiden's face as he looked between the three of them.

The first words out of his mouth were "Our time has finally come."

As he spoke the grin on his face became even bigger and he began to visibly tremble in excitement.

"How so?" Finn asked the question on all of their minds.

"The Babylonian, Pandorian, and Incan Empires intend to wipe us off the map," Aiden said, He then sent them the information he had received from Alek previously and proceeded to gauge their reactions.

"I'm surprised that their balls are this big," Connor spoke as he read through the files.

"As am I," Finn replied.

"If they truly plan to follow through their preparations must be extensive, especially considering the potential reactions of the Clear Sky and Macedonian Empires." Jasmine cut in.

To which Aiden responded, "It is our suspicion that they may have cut a few deals with some neutral parties to tie up Macedon and Clear Sky whilst they enter the recovery period necessary after such an operation on their parts."

The three nodded in agreeance to his posited speculations.

Finn then asked, "How are we going to respond?"

The other two refrained from interjecting as they awaited Aiden's response to Finn's query; knowing full well that the plan couldn't be for them to pull back preemptively for the dual purpose of reinforcing the Empire and ensuring their own lives. Alek would never consider such a notion, and Alaric would never suggest it.

"All of your squads are to report back to HQ for a briefing on the exact Operation Plan by midday tomorrow. Because we my friends, are going to retrieve several items which originally belonged to our Empire, whilst simultaneously taking a few things for ourselves and eliminating a few folks who have been alive for too long." Aiden answered, the wide grin having yet to fall from his face.

"Heard." The three responded in unison.

Aiden’s POV

Divine Order HQ

The Emeral Inn possessed 13 floors.

5 were open to the general public, and 8 were used as lodgings for members of the Divine order present within Emerald City, under the illusion of having already been permanently rented out.

The top floor was assigned to the Commander (Alek), the 12th floor was shared between the Lt. Commanders, the 11th floor was assigned to the Captains, the 10th to the Hashira, the ninth to the Squad Leaders, the eight to the Team leaders, and the seventh and sixth to the rest of the organization's members known as Blades.

After he finished speaking with his squad leads Aiden left his bedroom and met up with his brother Kai in their communal living room.

When he entered said living room, he found his brother sitting at a square table, while Erin and Mckenna were lounging on one of the sofas as they watched something on the smart panel and relaxedly discussed their plans for the next several days outside the briefing scheduled to take place tomorrow.

"Hello, Erin. Hello, Mckenna." He greeted the two of them in turn as he passed them.

"Hey." They responded at roughly the same time, their focus remaining on the smart panel.

Aiden then sat down at the table across from his brother and they began their daily game of chess.

A few moves in Kai broke the silence between the two of them, "You need to call Mom and Dad."

"No," Aiden responded as he moved one of his pieces.

"Why must you insist on being so stubborn in this regard?" Kai asked despite knowing the answer to his question.

"I see you're still taking their side." Aiden spoke with some degree of sarcasm before a smirk began to spread across his face and he asked, "Why am I not surprised?"

"Although in most cases, I do take their side. That's mainly due to the fact that our philosophies tend to be more in line in regards to certain matters." Kai responded as he moved on of his pieces before continuing on, "But in this case, I land somewhere in the middle and therefore desire to refrain from getting involved."

"Then why are you telling me to call them?" Aiden asked with a pointed look.

"Because our missions will soon call for us to bar all external communication. And I have received confirmation that the Incan, Pandorian, and Babylonian Empires have begun to make troop movements. Seeing as our family's forces constitute a rather large portion of the Empire's (Dark Luminance) first line of defense and our parents will most likely refuse to retreat... they could very well die." Kai let his final words hang in the air as he locked eyes with his twin and awaited the latter's response.

Aiden maintained his silence for a few moments before hardening his heart and saying "Then so be their fate."

A pregnant pause hung in the air between the two as their gazes interlocked before Kai eventually responded, "Very well then."
