Thankfully I didn't catch a cold from last night. It is probably due to my race but it is still hard to tell. I turned into something different from a human so obviously, I wouldn't just have increased stats but maybe also increased immune system, increased senses, or increased regeneration.
I was able to hide my injuries well yesterday and now they have already healed. Just some burn marks were almost healed, with no scars remaining.
The rest of the day after waking up went smoothly and I decided to take a break from dungeons before going on the field trip.
…
The next day, before the sun rose, I took a shower and checked the feathers on my back. It was just 2 patches of light green feathers on my back, nowhere near enough to fly. I brushed my teeth then put on a long sleeve shirt and cargo pants before sitting down at my computer.
The maids brought me some breakfast which I ate while buying a pair of white wireless headphones. I also downloaded Lucky Music on my phone but remembered something else after seeing the payment buŧŧon for Lucky Music Premium.
"I can afford Transactions Black," I say, clicking the buy buŧŧon and swiping up.
I then entered the Transactions app and swiped to the side. I saw the payment for gold and black, so of course, I clicked black. It took the money directly from the account and now hovering over my transactions home screen was the word "Black."
When I clicked on the payment buŧŧon, the background was black instead of the usual light blue. In the corner was the word "Black" with a checkmark next to it. My jaw dropped but remembered that I have over 1 billion US dollars now.
Normally this was reserved for the highest family and the highest family only. Plus you needed a recommendation from an influential person, which I'm ȧssuming was Atlas since he found out about my identity.
The blue checkmark is a cheat IRL. With it, you can rent out most restaurants entirely for yourself. You can also get the most premium service no matter it be a clothing store or restaurant.
Swiping up, I take my headphones from the teleporter and place them on my head before playing some music I just downloaded. The only music I've ever listened to was when my mom sang, so I didn't know what to play and ended up turning on top hits this week.
As I left my room, I thought Auntie would be waiting for me but remembered that today was the day of the field trip, so she should have left early. Yesterday she seemed like she needed to do something important, so we bȧrėly talked.
"Whatever,"
Leaving my apartment complex, I took the shortcut while listening to music. Only about 10 minutes later did I arrive at my school with not that many students walking around. A few familiar faces, such as my previous bullies and classmates but that was all.
I decided to just go to first period early since I had nobody to talk to.
…
"Alright, we are all going to the field beside the school since the Primordial Brave of Ice will explain the rules and split you into groups," the tall lengthy teacher explains.
Everybody seemed to be excited at seeing the Primordial Brave of Ice but… didn't they see her yesterday.
As we exit the school building, I see about another 1000 students standing on a massive green field. About 9/10 of the students were wearing nice clothes and had an arrogant expression, while the remaining 1/10 were poor students that received help from Auntie.
They didn't even try to hide their condescending expressions, with some even looking at the weak and poor students in disgust. Though it's not like I was going to help them… they were stupid for thinking they could go on this trip without getting beaten.
They not only lost money but are about to lose some brain cells from all the beatings they're going to receive. Auntie may be putting on a cold demeanor but she's way too nice sometimes… and this is one of those occasions.
It's hard to tell if she's already anticipated the poor students' terrible future or not.
"Hello. I'm sure most of you already know, but I'm the Primordial Brave of Ice. If you want to refer to me, just use 'Miss T,'" Auntie says, projecting her cold voice.
She was standing atop a grand marble platform that allowed her to look over all the students. An array of guards stood at the very back, with a few teachers and the headmaster standing in the middle.
The headmaster was a tall old man, who looked like the perfect example of a retired A-rank dungeon runner. He was still well built and gave off a sense of comfort, but that was only a sense.
I could see him ridiculing the commoners that still tread on his ground. His eyes were squinted at not only me but the rest of the poor students and returned to a bright smile once Auntie turned around.
"... Alright, that is what we'll be doing. Sir Kain will take it away," Auntie says.
"I would like you to create a group of 5 and those are the students you will be staying with for the entirety of the trip," The headmaster says.
The kids all flock to their friends and the only ones who didn't find a group was me and 4 other kids. 2 boys and 2 other girls. Since nobody was taking action, I decided to bring them together and introduce myself first.
"I'm Lucy, nice to meet you," I say, taking my headphones off.
"Luke,"
"Charles,"
"Fay,"
"Aria,"
Luke was a scrawny kid who had short grey hair and grey eyes to match. Charles was as tall as me and had wavy brown hair. His black eyes looked like the ones of a dead fish. Fay, was a small girl with bright green eyes and hair that flowed to her waist.
Finally, there was Aria, she was a bit taller than me and had dark blue hair. Her eyes were black but they held the most hope in them out of the entire group. Almost as if she could get out of this situation if she worked hard enough.
She's probably this confident because Auntie decided to help them out.
"I guess we're a group now," I say before putting my headphones back on.
The students nod their heads and face towards the front where the headmaster was standing. Auntie didn't even give me a glance which made me smirk slightly.
"Ice-cold maiden…" I snicker.
The headmaster inspects our groups and finally speaks once again with his annoying loud voice.
"If somebody in your group is called, then please have them and the group come up for the teleporters were taking. If you get teleportation sickness easily, then please prepare yourself,"
"Sven Hazard, have your group come up… Arthur Lyke, have your group come up next…" The headmaster calls out again and again.
Luckily my music wasn't that loud, so I was able to hear one of the kids in our group get called.
"Luke Tork, come up next…" The headmaster calls out.
We all walk out of the crowd and see 5 circular platforms, with 1 group on each platform. They were white and had a black star in the middle with runes inscribed on the very rim of the star.
Runes… the unknown symbols that we've not only seen on power stones, but also throughout history. Sometimes they can be depicted through pictures or maybe through a series of strokes. A prime example would be the hieroglyphics in ancient Egypt.
It was easy to find out what they meant since most of them were pictures, but these runes that are on the power stones haven't been analyzed thoroughly yet… or that's at least what the media wants you to think.
If anybody has even a sliver of common sense, they would've immediately identified the bullshit in that statement. I mean who would believe we've just been using these strange stones for 600 years without trying to find out the source behind their powers.
Plus we're talking about humanity, we've been curious about everything, and that eventually lead to our downfall. Curiosity killed the cat and we were forced back onto earth fighting against strange monsters that appear inside portals that invade our planet.
It seems humanity has discovered something behind the stone since I've seen some of the runes written on the teleporter online. They were all on B-rank and higher power stones.
"Luke Tork's group, please step onto the teleporter and brace yourself," A tall man in a tuxedo says.
We all step forward onto the white pedestal and see a blue light envelop us. My vision distorts slightly but I was used to it since it was the same feeling as when you enter a dungeon.
*puke*
My groupmates had all thrown up and looked like they could bȧrėly breathe so I could only watch them pitifully throw up their breakfast.
"Now… it seems like we're on a giant stone wall," I mutte
