To start the raid, some members had set off an explosion on all 4 floors. 1 of them was at the back, and 3 of them were at the front. I could already see the guards panicking as they took a defensive stance, waiting for anybody to burst through the front gates.
The first 2 commanders led 250 members through the back where there weren't as many guards. Bloodshed was immediately induced as Abigail took the first swing with her dual cleavers.
Abigail was a pretty young woman who was built as hell. She has black hair, dark red eyes, and slightly tan skin. Her weapon of choice was 2 massive black cleavers that had tan handles which she bought with some of the money we gave the commanders.
She ripped through some cannon fodder but met her challenge with a big bodyguard who stood at 6 feet and a half. He towered over Abigail, who only just scraped 6 feet. His weapon of choice was a massive mace, half the size of him, which was coated in densely packed rocks.
As he swung down his massive mace, Abigail just bȧrėly rolled out of the way, gulping down salivae as he had shattered the ground under the weight of his mace. Not destroyed, just shattered in pieces.
Though she was slightly hesitant, she continued her battle with the massive bodyguard. She was the only one besides William who stood a chance against the massive guy.
The surrounding members knew not to get involved within their fight since they realized how they would've instantly died from just the aftermath of their attacks.
After taking in a sharp breath, Abigail quickly stands up and takes a lower position than before. I thought her eyes would've grown colder, but the only expression I could see across her face was that of joy.
I could see the bodyguard shiver slightly as he swung down his giant mace towards Abigail. Abigail takes a slight step forward, catching the rocky handle with both of her cleavers and sliding them forward.
She closed the gap between them instantly as she makes an X-shaped attack that is instantly reflected by something underneath the guard's suit. The guard smiled menacingly as he used Abigail's moment of shock to kick her in the gut, sending her flying across the hall.
"HAHAHAHAHA! WHAT AN IDIOT!" The guard shouts, ripping off his suit.
What was revealed was a full body armor completely made of densely packed rocks. It spread from his toes all the way to his neck. It also had a few spikes on it, serving as a counter to any direct attacks made by Abigail's body.
Abigail clicks her tongue before quickly standing up, a smile still on her face.
"Do you need help!?" I could hear a man's voice from down the hallway.
"No! Keep wiping out this floor! The others should be able to handle the upper floors!" Abigail shouts back before dashing towards the rock-covered guard.
A dark purple flame with a few black strands wrapped around her massive cleavers. Even though I wasn't there, I could almost sense a hint of malice radiating from it.
When the dark purple flames touched her hand, she didn't flinch in the slightest. It then slowly started to wrap around her forearm before only stopping once her hands and cleavers had been enveloped in the flames.
"Oh… isn't that a low A-rank power stone?" Aria asks.
"Yep. I think it's the quarter demonic flames. If she did have the full S-rank stone, then she could've spread it throughout her entire body, not only defending herself but also reinforcing her own body for stronger attacks," Charna says.
"Isn't the quarter demonic flames illegal in the US- no, isn't it illegal throughout the world?" Amanda asks.
"Yeah, but she already had some connections with the underworld," Mia says.
"Wait, how come we didn't know about this?" I ask.
"Cause her influence in the underworld is so small that she's basically equal to somebody from the slums… insignificant," Mia says, giving me a guilty look.
"Can you all stop with the looks of guilt whenever you bad-mouth or talk about the slums? I'm out of it, okay? Just stop. It's getting really annoying," I muttered, sinking into Mia's ŀȧp.
Everybody gives me a slight nod before looking back at the 360 degrees screen. It seems that was all they needed since there was no heavy air hovering above them anymore.
I also redirected my eyes and saw that Abigail was slightly stalemated with the massive earthen guard. Abigail could nimbly dodge the guard's bulky attacks, but she could bȧrėly put a few scratches on him.
The only weak spot on the massive guard was his head which held his eyes, mouth, ears, and nose, but the rest was extremely tough. So even leaving a scratch on his forehead was near impossible not only cause his head was harder than steel, but it was also nimble, so if a threatening attack ever approached him, he could've easily dodged.
Let's see what she can do… maybe sacrifice a few of her subordinates, but that will taint her reputation within the org, so she has to find another way.
Abigail's eyes dart across the room, but I could tell panic didn't fill them; it was more like she was looking for an opening. Then, suddenly, she dashed towards the outer wall of the hallway, which, if destroyed, would lead to the outside of the mansion.
The guard didn't realize what she was doing as he clumsily ran towards her, mace raised into the air. His face clearly showed corruption as he continued to look down on Abigail, who wasn't even able to land a scratch on him.
BAM
The guard slammed his massive spiky mace towards Abigail, but she bȧrėly ducked in time, causing the wall to cave in. Due to the massive amount of momentum built up behind the guard's attack, he couldn't stop himself as he switched places with Abigail, who nimbly maneuvered between his legs.
The wall crumbled into pieces and fell onto the guard. He was knocked to the ground, but no visible injuries could be seen… which was expected. But it seems Abigail wasn't done yet as she jumped into the air and aimed her 2 massive cleavers at the guards' slowly opening her eyes.
No matter how hard your head is, you still have weak points on it that are impossible to toughen… such as your eyes, the insides of your nose, the insides of your ears, and the inside of your mouth.
Abigail's purple flames lit up as if reacting to her bloodlust, slightly melting her 2 blades. The guard was just able to roll out of the way and tried to stand up as quickly as possible. With his back faced towards Abigail, she could make no life-threatening attacks, but she could easily manipulate him into an easier area to fight.
Kicking the back of both his knees, Abigail sent him tumbling onto his face, leading to the backyard that had absolutely nobody. It was just an open field with a few pathways and neatly cut hedges in the shape of various animals.
Abigail's demonic flames were immediately extinguished when falling off her hands into the air.
"How come it's extinguishing upon hitting the air?" I ask, looking up at Mia before snuggling into her collar.
"T-that tickles…" Mia giggles.
"Alright, you fuċkɨnġ love birds… I'll explain it since it seems Mia's too invested in you. Since her demonic flames are only a quarter of the real one- wait, I should probably tell you how quarter demonic flames are possible.
Quarter demonic flames have been the only artificial power stone ever created so far. Well, if you don't count the other 2, which are the half demonic flames and 3 quarters demonic flames. The cult that followed the Death power stone user created this, and the remains of that cult still linger throughout the world… but still, to this day, not much is know about them.
Okay, back to the main topic. Her demonic flames are dissipating upon hitting the air because her level of control over demonic flames isn't high enough. This means that she can only control the demonic flames around a part of her body. So if any of the flames leave contact with her body, they will instantly dissipate.
The half demonic flames allow the user to control their flames around half of their body, while the three-quarters demonic flames allow them to manipulate the flames around their entire body. And as you could expect, the full demonic flame power stone allows the user to control the flame around their entire body and outside their body… like it was intended to," Charna explains.
"I see…"
We all look back at the screen and see Abigail strangely manipulating the demonic flames. For some reason, she was directing it towards her eyes. The guard tried to stop her, but she was able to move out of the way due to the increased space around her.
We didn't understand what she was doing, but it still made us sit on the edge of our seats.
