It felt like you could've cut the tension in the air with just a buŧŧer knife. Sweat ran down their cheeks as this was the final boss.

Even though it is the lowest of bosses, for their rank it might as well be a baby dragon.

"MAGES AND ARCHERS! FIRE AT MY SIGNAL!"

It seemed the raid leader shouted on purpose since his power let him manipulate rocks making for a great tank. But he can just manipulate rocks that are scattered on the ground, unlike James who can manipulate earth itself.

The massive goblin fell for the raid leader's taunt as it swung his club at him. 2 other tanks with massive shield helped stop his attack while the mages and archers were readying their attacks.

The mages either held out their hands or pointed their staffs at the goblin while the archers pulled back their bow. All at once, a volley of spells and arrows hit the goblin. Some were blocked by his massive shield but for the most part, he was injured.

The goblin took a few steps and before anyone knew it, he swung his wooden club at the raid leader and the 2 tanks next to him.

CRACK

"NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO CUT ITS ANKLES!" yells the raid leader.

The melee users who used a spear, sword, or daggers had all swung at his ankles, creating only a few cuts.

Out of rage, the goblin slammed his shield down at the pests cutting his ankles. A few of the melee users were not able to back up in time, causing them to lose a leg or arm.

The goblin continued his fit as he swung his club around wildly. His eyes were a bright red and everyone knew that this was the goblin boss's special skill… Berserk.

Not every boss has this skill but the goblin boss relies on it the most. Due to his huge body and clumsy but strong swings, he has no real skill. But with berserk, his skill level wouldn't rise but his speed and power would rise exponentially. Even the way he randomly swung made it hard for even C rank dungeons runners to predict and block.

"HE IS NOW IN BERSERK MODE! MAGES AND ARCHERS THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE!"

The archers and mages tried their best not to panic as they cast more spells and fired another volley of arrows.

"ARGGGGH," cried out the goblin.

He swung at the arrows and spells with his club, destroying all of them. If it wasn't for his magic equipment, those arrows and spells would've melted that club and damaged the goblin behind it.

"EEEEEK!" I heard a woman shriek in fear.

"DON'T PANIC! I SWEAR IF ANY OF YOU DIE HERE I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" yells the leader.

Even though I was slightly nervous, I couldn't help but chuckle at what the leader said.

Do I need to help them out? But… there's no possible way I'll be of help at my level unless I try and improve my mastery with this new skill. I should practice with it now while I'm waiting for the final hit.

The formation of the raid team started to scatter due to fear. Most of them must be new since once you succumb to fear during a dungeon run, you will always die. Not only will you die but your raid team or party will probably die as well. This was commonly known knowledge for those who have gone through dungeons multiple times.

Thank god, I studied on dungeons even though I was powerless. They might have not been the most interesting thing, since I could care less of what happens in a dungeon, but here I am using it.

The goblin continued to swing at the opponents in front of him. The tanks were taking a beating while the rest of the raid team was desperate to kill them. Mages were firing spells that rarely hit while archers weren't pulling their bow back far enough, causing their arrows to be weak. The melee dungeon runners were swinging at his ankles while trying to avoid his massive club.

A few melee dungeon runners had already died while some mages ran out of mana. The archers had very few arrows left as well.

"KILL THEM! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! ALL OF YOU ARE ALL E-RANK TRASH! YOU ALL SHOULD DIE FOR ME! I'M D-RANK FOR FUCKS SAKE!" yelled the leader.

"Trash… they're all trash…" I muttered.

Interesting turn of events. It seems there is still discrimination between the 2 trash ranks. But what surprised me the most is that the leader of all people was yelling that. The guy who had a smile and serious expression the entire time while leading the party, but now it's of fear and disgust while around his raid team.

Looking at the raid team, I saw their surprised faces by their leader's sudden change in attitude. Though they wanted to kill him right here and right now, they couldn't get angry at him since their lives were all in danger.

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU GOVERNMENT DUNGEON RUNNERS DOING! KILL THIS THING!" the leader shouts at a group of mages.

It seems they had changed out of their tuxedos and are now in baggy mage clothing.

They weren't panicking but they weren't doing much to the boss either. The spells they cast were peak E rank at best.

10 minutes had passed and the entire raid team was cut in half and the remaining half was exhausted beyond belief. The goblin was also exhausted with cuts and bruises all on its body causing it to stumble a bit.

The raid team wouldn't have lost so many members if the leader didn't sacrifice them to get hits in.

"DIE BASTARD!" shouts the leader, charging at the goblin with a shield in one hand and the sword of one of the dead raid team members.

The goblin couldn't react in time as it felt its ankles give out, causing him to fall into the leader's swing. The leader was able to make a huge gash on the goblin's ċhėst before it fell flat on its face, grunting and breathing heavily.

Circling the battlefield, I crouch down while sneaking closer and closer to the grunting goblin. I was able to hear its breathing slow so I had to act fast.

I wanted to make this as silent as possible so I concentrated on my throat. The fire rose into my mouth and I let very little of it leak out the side of my lips. I concentrated harder and was able to condense it into something similar to string.

I controlled it towards the goblin's head and stuck it into its skull. I released the thread and let it burst out into an explosion of rainbow flames that disintegrated its head instantly.

The remaining raid team was shocked at what just happened. The skull that held the oh-so-precious teeth was turned into ashes by an unknown flame.

"Was that not the boss?" asked one of the dungeon runners that worked for the government.

Everybody froze from his question since something was able to kill the boss they struggled with, instantly. Even if it was laying on the ground knocking on death's door, they could've used that power any time they wanted to end the fight.

They frantically looked around, looking for somebody or something just in case they might kill them.

But… I had already left the vicinity.

I ran away as far as I could before checking the notifications in front of me.

Now I just need to get out of here undetected.

10 minutes passed as I found myself back in New York.

For some reason, only the leader and the government dungeon runners were next to me. I had an idea that made the most sense considering the situation from before.

They killed them. They didn't want anybody to ruin their reputation so they instead silenced them.

"Hey, what is a kid doing here?" asks the leader.

tsk

I sprinted from my position and heard heavy footsteps follow behind me.

"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU! ARE YOU THE ONE WHO KILLED THE BOSS!" cried out the leader in anger.

HUFF HUFF HUFF

My stamina wasn't able to keep up as I used most of it to run away from the vicinity near the dungeon runners.

"GET BACK HERE BITCH!" He yells, diving onto me.

He slammed my body to the ground as I coughed up blood.

"HELP! HELP! HELP!" I cried out desperately.

Nobody came to help but the eyes of onlookers focused on the leader.

This was scummy but it was the only way I knew to survive this predicament.

"YOU BITCH!" yells out the leader.

My plan backfires as he started pounding my back with his fists causing me to continuously coughed up blood.

I thought if he cared about his reputation so much then he would've tried to clear the misunderstanding but rage seemed to take over.

I felt my life flash before my eyes once again until it stopped. The beating stopped but I still felt his weight sitting on top of me.

I turned my head back to see a woman with light blue hair and a busty figure. She was wearing a white hood that created a shadow above her beautiful face that held blue, icy eyes within its sockets.

A ring of ice had surrounded the leader's fist and then the woman closed her hand. The leader's hand shattered into chunks of meat, frozen within the ice that scattered everywhere.

The leader jumped off me in fear while holding his hand.

I followed the icy woman's figure and saw her give me a nod before walking away.
