Ignoring Mia's random statement, I looked at the next commander, who was struggling to fight multiple enemies simultaneously. He wasn't facing a singular strong opponent, but he was facing multiple on the mansion's second floor.
It was Elijah. About 6 feet in height, stubby black hair, dark brown skin, well-toned muscles, and majestic purple eyes. They looked like a calm nebula even as he struggled against the 15 guards who ganged upon him.
Even though Elijah knew he was at a disadvantage, he continued to press on while letting the members around him take out the small fry.
The 15 guards he was fighting weren't as strong as the guards Abigail and William fought, but they were still stronger than the small fry.
CLANG
Elijah's massive greatsword blocked 2 shortswords at the same time before deflecting them off and ducking down, just bȧrėly dodging an arrow coated in spiky rocks. As the arrow landed on the marble floor, I saw that it looked like a giant spiky mace.
Elijah also saw the mace and wiped a drop of sweat from his chin before dashing towards the guard in front of him. It was an obvious bait that used himself, but the guards still fell for it.
As they all jumped towards Elijah, he quickly grasped everything around him with just a few swipes of his eyes before jumping up and doing a split kick. The flexibility he displayed surprised us, but the show didn't end there.
As he was still in their air, 3 swords and 6 spears were sent, slicing through the air towards him. He first blocked the 3 swords with his greatsword before moving his head slightly.
WHOOSH
2 spears had missed his head while the other 4 just bȧrėly landed scratches on his well-toned body. As he landed back on the ground, he immediately jumped back up and swung his greatsword downward, slicing one of the guards in half.
"Oh, I didn't expect that," I mutter.
Mia stops petting my head as she was surprised by the unexpected move as well.
Though Elijah could kill 3 of the 15, he didn't celebrate nor show any hesitation in the slightest.
As soon as he landed, two swords aimed straight at his throat greeted him.
Normally if you have the capabilities to see the blades, ducking is the easiest option… But Elijah didn't duck.
Instead, he took a flash step forward to where the handles collided with his neck, but that didn't phase him as he attempted to uppercut the swordsman on the left with his free hand.
Just as he collided with the guard's chin, he received a spear hand to the ribs, making him flinch in pain before swinging the handle of his greatsword upwards. Then, just as the other guard got knocked out from Elijah's uppercut, the handle collided with the other guards' stomach, knocking the wind out of him.
5 down, 10 more to go.
Suddenly, a pillar of condensed rocks hit Elijahs back when he least expected, knocking him to the ground. He made a quick recovery by doing a shoulder roll, just bȧrėly dodging a sword and 3 spears towards the face.
The guards, ignorant of Elijah's quickly formed plan, rushed in with the spearman in front, creating a barrier between him and the bowsmen.
Just as Elijah took a few steps back, the archers sent a volley of arrows over the spearsmen, which Elijah was forced to block with his greatsword. The spearman smiled menacingly as they stabbed their spears towards Elijah, who collided with a wall.
Slight panic had appeared on his face, but it quickly turned into a slight smirk as he jumped up and coated his greatsword in dark purple flames. He swung his sword downwards, missing the spearman, but it created a blast of dark purple flames that barreled towards the guards.
The spearman, still ignorant of Elijah's plan, dodged the stream of purple flames, but just as they noticed their fatal mistake…
An explosion brushed past the spearman's hair as they saw their fellow guards blow up into smithereens. Their titanium bows dropped to the ground, with their bodies nowhere to be seen.
The bodyguards snapped their heads back to Elijah, who already appeared in front of 2 of them.
Elijah had instantly sent their heads flying.
5 more to go.
Elijah ducked underneath a panicked spear swing before hitting the guard's hand, causing one side of the spear to drop. An opening revealed itself, but it was quickly shot down by the remaining swordsman swinging his sword at Elijah's neck.
Elijah blocked the sword swing with the handle of his greatsword before stomping on the ground pivoting as much power as he could into one punch. Fortunately, the punch had collided with the swordsman's solar plexus causing him to drop to the ground, coughing and gagging.
As he tried to finish off the swordsman, he was once again interrupted by a spearhead that just bȧrėly scratched his cheek. Elijah clicked his tongue before kicking the spearman in the groin and finishing him off with a greatsword down the middle of his head.
SHING
As he ripped the greatsword out of the man's head, he slammed another spearman's spear, sending it flying out of his hands. He tried to run for it, but Elijah's sword was once again coated in demonic flames, just bȧrėly scratching the spearman who ran out of his range… but that didn't matter as he soon went up in dark purple flames.
2 more to go.
The remaining two spearmen back up in fear as they saw a bit of condensation release from Elijah's mouth. He looked like the embodiment of a demon with his nebula-colored eyes and demonic flames that he spread around his body.
Spreading the demonic flames around his body served as passive protection from any physical attacks from the guards… but it seemed that wasn't necessary as he raised his giant greatsword and swung sideways, slicing both of the spearmen in half.
"Phew… that was troublesome-"
A woman's voice cut off Elijah's open thoughts from down the hallway.
"ELIJAH! IT LOOKS LIKE YOU DID A GOOD JOB WITH THIS FLOOR!" I hear a familiar voice shout.
Once the woman had come into the drone's view, I saw Abigail running towards Elijah. William was in tow, but he looked to be exhausted. It looked as if a gray cloud was hovering over his head.
"You think the 12 are watching over us right now?" Abigail asks, scanning the area around them, but her search bore no fruit as we were already using the camouflage feature.
"Probably, it feels like somebody is watching us, and I could only ȧssume it was them. I hope we're putting on a good show since I almost died a couple of times," William sighs.
"I mean, it was a nice experience. It has been a long time since I've felt this much pressure," Elijahs says.
"Well, you are the strongest out of the 5 of us, so it was to be expected that you didn't receive many injuries… but you should still have the healers check on you," Abigail says.
"I know," Elijah responds.
The healers rush over and immediately start checking his body for injuries. Though he had some minor scratches, a few internal injuries were found, which needed to be taken care of immediately.
Just as Elijah had finished the healing process, the drone moved up to the third floor, where we saw somebody had wiped it out. We saw Charlotte, who was 5'7 had long white hair, clear white skin, pretty white eyes, and slender limbs.
She was standing atop a shivering swordsman who was then stabbed in the ċhėst with a silver long sword. Demonic flames covered it, somehow contrasting well with the woman's angelic appearance.
We then moved onto the fourth floor only to find a few dead bodies, which were only guards. There was not a single member of Tolf lying on the ground, or present for that matter.
"Where the hell did he go?" I mutter.
"Hey Mia, order the drone to check the basement. I have a feeling Mason and the other members are there," Aria says.
Mia nods her head before ordering the drone to fly all the way down to the bottom floor.. It then arrived at 2 metal gates that stood twice the size of me.
